In re-reading the tweets from the courtroom, it made me understand that everyone’s interpretation of information can be slightly different. All heard the same testimony, and saw the same exhibits. But there are differences in what was posted. I don’t know what can be stated as fact. My mind is spinning-heck I had even put the 2nd two dates of the prelim into my calendar incorrectly. I will continue to look at the inconsistencies, assume nothing, and look forward to Monday. Two more sleeps.

I’m wondering if Salida and the surrounding areas utilize LPR (license plate readers)...if so, what are the data retention periods and do they share this data between agencies...

This could provide answers about the Range Rover’s movement (since it doesn’t have GPS) as well as the F350 (if its telematics were unavailable during a specific time frame)...

Feeling the same thing. So much to unpack and interpret, especially when we only have short tweets and multiple (often conflicting) MSM reports to rely on. So grateful for @NoSI having been in the courtroom to help clarify.

It is still so early in the case. I am just glad the DA has pushed forward to this point. Seems not that long ago we wondered if there would ever be an arrest. Now we wonder if there will be a trial. And if there’s a trial scheduled, we will wonder if there will be a conviction.

I look forward to the day we wonder how inmate BM is liking life in prison without parole.

Because Barry is a triangulator; he involves third parties in an attempt to reduce focus on himself. He did it with his daughter when Lauren came calling to talk with him, he did it with these two men rather than permit MG to see him personally after she just dropped everything last minute on Mother's Day to gather a crew and drive 2 hours out of town for a job that wasn't prepared or provided for, he did it with the neighbor who made the call to LE when that call should have come from Barry, he did it with GD who showed up with him at the scene of the bike-planting, his 26-second video had appeals from "we" and "us," etc.

It's a classic shedding of responsibility technique.

“We opened the door (room at the HIE) and I mean, like, the chlorine hit you and you’re, like, my eyes started watering and burning. And, like, the towels were like super wet on the floor, and it looked like he had, like, made the bed before he left,” Gentile said.

And, she said, Barry’s behavior that weekend had seemed strange.

“Barry had worked on the beach site Friday evening,” Gentile said. “Saturday, he had asked me to clean it up and rake it out, because we were going to bring it out to level – so it would be a beach sand and not muck.”

That area, a construction site off County Road 105, east of Salida, is the same area where investigators spent three days searching for Suzanne, just a week later, on May 21-23.

“He was acting really weird about [the beach area], I was like Barry what’s up,” Gentile said. “He seemed stressed. He definitely seemed weird on Saturday.”

And, although Gentile had agreed to work in that area for the day, she said Barry dismissed her from the job early – at 11 a.m.

“He said that he had to go make the wife happy – do some hiking or biking,” she said. “And I found out, like, later that day that he was in town all day.”

Gentile said she heard Barry was out shopping by himself.

The original plan for the Broomfield job – a retaining wall – included only Gentile and Barry, she said.

“We were originally supposed to go out there at the end of April,” Gentile explained.

She said, the plans changed, pushing the project to the first of May, then changed again to the weekend of May 10. Gentile said she was surprised when Barry called her asking her to assemble a crew for the job.

“Last minute he changed everything. In fact, he called me that Sunday – Mother’s Day – and was really frantic, really didn’t sound like himself,” Gentile said. “I hung up the phone and I thought he just had the worst night of his life.”

Still, Gentile agreed to pick up Jeffrey Puckett and head to Broomfield.
Barry called again around 6:10 p.m.

“Barry said that he had been up there all day, like getting the job ready for us,” Gentile said. And, he also told Gentile, he was leaving. There’d been a family emergency, he said. He left some tools behind, at the hotel.

I really want to know what time he called MG on Mother’s Day to change it all up, his first call of the day to her. Think we will hear about that on Monday? They have her phone data. I think it’s important.

If the tranq dart wasn't immediately lethal, perhaps Barry wrested A NAME from Suzanne, and first chance he got, he went on her Facebook to find him, setting off the inadvertent friend requests, generated by a new device.

If the 4 box of darts (1 missing) was retrieved by LE...at the very least....they can identify what type and volume of tranquilizer might have been used. That information could shed some light on how Suzanne may have reacted and responded to being shot....That may explain some of the chasing around or running around scenarios that LE was trying to determine. While it is somewhat speculative...it would still be useful.

I do recall seeing a sitting area down by the river at Puma Path.
Imagine sitting there, hearing the water flow, watching the wild life that was drawn to the water. Shooting them.

I think there were trail cameras along the river.

What if the time BM was walking along the river that Saturday, he was checking his cameras.

Maybe some of them were aimed in towards the home and for some reason he wanted them turned away.

Maybe he made sure his cameras couldn't pick up any of his comings and goings.

I just hope that TN is called and asked specifics about the crowd funding account, like whose idea it was and if any of the money was spent searching for Suzanne or helping with Andy's expenses for his search efforts.

I also want to know what Barry told him about the bike and its condition.

Then, the prosecutor can move on to the details of approaching MG.

TN will be an interesting witness. Let's just hope that he tells the truth. He is Barry's nephew not Suzanne's as the crowd funding details said.

I’m perplexed by this, and I’m wondering if the date was misstated in court.

This is something that makes sense for Saturday night, but it makes no sense for Friday night.

It would be a strange thing for Suzanne to do (both forget password and then friend a bunch of guys).

If Barry did it, then Suzanne would surely have realized at some point on Saturday.

Although if the date is right, perhaps BM either got her phone or did a password reset on his phone with her profile. And BM still initiators the friend requests as he wanted to make it seem like SM might have run off that weekend.

This is my first "trial-by-tweet" experience and so far ... not a fan. Too much gets lost in translation. A good argument for cameras in the courtroom.
