I FINALLY caught up, just in time for a whole new avalanche of tweets and info. I have been nodding and agreeing with so much of what you all have thoughtfully posted so I will just say that my hopes for today are that:

1. We learn what evidence there is of Suzanne being deceased (at least a tidbit)

2. We learn about how the finances played into this (though we suspect)

3. We learn more about what MG knows

4. The defense doesn't monopolize the narrative

5. And of course, BM is held over for trial!

From last night.
@OldCop have you seen this yet? LS going over her notes from first 2 days of PH.

At 15:45. . She talks about SM list of 50 grievances which included lots of women on FB then she says she (LS) had learned that SM couldn’t
( wasn’t allowed? ) do that.. have a lot of male FB friends. Interesting.

Praying he cops a plea and brings closure for the family. Motown

Chris M said last night in the chat for his show about Summer Wells that he believes BM will plea out to 2nd degree. I personally hope he doesn't because he deserves the fullest punishment available.

I would accept a plea as long as he gave the location of Suzanne's body .Then a sentence of 30 + years ,he would be in his middle 80's before any release.

I just don't see BM taking a plea to anything. Even if his money runs out for his defense team and he's back to the public defenders, no matter what any legal team tells him, I think BM is going to ride this all the way down, insisting on his innocence.

I wouldn't be surprised if he tried for a 2nd degree plea. I think the defense has already indicated that this "should be 2nd degree murder" (or words to that effect).

This could be a hint of things to come. The defense will already know what they are up against, with regards to the evidence.

We can't oversimplify the complexities of relationships....tempting as it may be. Suzanne wrote those love letters to Barry just months before she disappeared...if I am not mistaken. That would have been in the midst of the affair. In fact...those letters, imo, while likely not appreciated by Barry, would have stroked his ego and reinforced his dominant position. So Suzanne was writing those letters to Barry, while texting JL....very sad and convoluted scenario. She must have been an emotional mess.
If I remember right, we don't know if it was months before she disappeared or he dug out really old ones and used bits and parts of them. If I'm remembering right.

I just don't get the sense of BM charming anyone here. SM knew this man--she knew him very very well. And she knew he would not let her go without a fight. The house was purchased with money she had inherited. Everything on hinged on SM playing the same role she'd played for years. I think she hoped that he could be reasoned with, or made to understand that their miserable marriage wasn't working, and the best thing for everyone would be a divorce, but I don't get the sense at all that SM's guard was down to Barry. He was trying to take her pain medications. He needed to control every part of her and she was still in the thick of that. JMO.

Lauren makes a good point towards the end of tonight’s live. We still haven’t heard from an investigator with Chaffee County or CBI.

Haven’t heard what hotel search revealed.

No audio from Barry’s interviews.

Why do they think Suzanne is not alive?

How do they connect it to Barry?
five dumpsters identified....It would be a remote but pleasant surprise if they managed to retrieve some physical evidence from the dumpsters or landfills. This circumstantial case needs plenty of physical evidence to connect the dots. What articles were thrown away, and why? What reason would Barry have to haul some of these articles three hours from home when a dumpster was located adjacent to his home, provided by the association?

He strikes me as having the same mindset as Dr. Jeffrey McDonald...who gaslighted himself into believing his own innocence. And continues that denial to this day...some 50 years later.

You’re absolutely right, @MassGuy. Most folks think of profilers as the people who help identify an unknown subject. And they do, using their data to figure out what kind of person incl. sex, age, background, education, etc. that LE should be looking at to find their suspect.
But, profilers can also help even after the suspect is identified just as you stated above. They help LE figure out which switch to push to bring a person from being a suspect to an accused.

I am so happy to see that you are verified now. You are an absolutely amazing asset to WS!

Thanks for doing this again @NoSI, I know how exhausting the last 2 days were for you.

Take care of yourself and know how much your in person perspective means to us.

Does anyone know if the hot tub really did need fixing or if this might have been a ruse to frame a suspect, someone coming out to the house?

Suzanne's text at 10:49am doesn't fit with the tub being broken.

I know it doesn't fit with the bike story but maybe plan A was going to be finding Suzanne missing on the Saturday, hence the early attack and Suzanne's phone being non-responsive, and he had a story lined up for going back out again after going home at 2:44pm, hence why he had to hide the fact he didn't by disabling the truck telematics, and then on Saturday evening he chickened out of phoning in her disappearance, not being believed, too much stuff still to dispose of, and then decided on plan B, the Sunday bike ride.

Friday 5/8

1:18 pm BM texts Colton Nebal SS&S, about getting hot tub fixed. Asks when someone can come out to the home.

Saturday 5/9

10:49 am SM: Get hot tub stuff

When were the letters written?
I did not know they were that recent.
