I think when you take each thing, brick by brick, you can build a wall of guilt. They are individuals details---but taken together, they are very damning.
She disappeared---last heard from when Barry was there with her. There was a sudden silence, sudden disconnection from people she had been in constant contact with. What happened?
The jury will wAnt to understand what happened in those hours after she went silent. And there is some very incriminating evidence about what was going on in those critical hours---when Barry is claiming she was home asleep.
During those hours, Barry woke up much earlier than he told the CBI--and he went on his trash run---5 different trash drops, on his way out of town.
Not to mention how phony that slapped together business trip was. And then the bike---evidence pointing to it never been ridden there by SM, but planted by Barry.
I think the jury will see that clearly and accept it. Because the other option makes no sense. SM just suddenly stopped speaking to her boyfriend and her best friend---right when she was supposed to be taking part in her best friend's family wedding--then she continues ghosting everyone and goes on an unusual bike ride---doesn't take her car, as usually does---doesn't take her water or bike gloves---rides a route that is dangerous and beyond her physical level---bike is found, but no evidence of a crash and the tire and handle bars seem to show it was walked there, not ridden there.
Just the general shape of the whole case seems to point to him being guilty. And we have not seen the actual evidence. This ids just the hearing which is the most simple version of their case against him.
