Yup lots of smart 🤬🤬🤬 answers. I'm sure LE was fed up with it all. Hence the charges with the LE addded on to the murder charge.
Or quite possible he's guilty of all of those added charges. Smart-🤬🤬🤬 isn't one of them.

I don’t know what to feel about DA Stanley talking with ProfilingEvil channel on livestream. It seems like a very bad idea and just gives the Defense more to argue about….why would she think this is a good idea - before there is even a ruling on if this case goes forward - is beyond me. Any reason I can think of doesn’t exactly jive with the pursuit of justice, wanting the fairest trial possible for the defendant no matter how she feels about his guilt, etc., etc.

I am equally disappointed the channel would also have her on at this stage in the case

In the Freudian sense, it would be both of them who were pursuing a course of action fraught with risk - including life-ending risk. So, my love of travel means that I leave the house and sometimes go on an airplane (and I actually quite enjoy it - which is Freud's point; people everywhere have some form of risk-taking behavior that they seek and enjoy - that's who we are as humans). To put it the way a more modern psychologist said it (George Spindler), "All primates are attracted to risk, sex, play and competition...humans are no exception.") He went on to say that if we lack too much in the way of risk and scary adventure, we will create some culture to accomplish the scary feelings for us. So every culture, over time, has always had scary rituals or whatnot.

Barry took the risk of controlling his wife (including the risk that she would fall out of love and leave him), etc. Then he found even more risk-taking to be a solution to his inner turmoil. She did similar things. Most of us have done something risky at one time or another - even if it was just an actual roller coaster.

I agree that people who announce the kind of thing that Barry did ("I am going to kill myself if I can't control you,") are histrionic at best, and likely have many selfish (narcissistic) traits. Selfishness, by itself, is a real thing and is often accompanied by being a cheapskate. I thought it was interesting that Barry said, "If you arrest me, how am I going to raise my daughter?" rather than using the word "daughters." He sees an ending point to his "raising/parenting" (whereas many parents understand that there is really never an end to parenting...it changes, but it's still there).

(For some of us, it's scary enough just to read true crime - and risk learning some awful facts about humans).
Well Rods, I’m not sure I buy into the “death wish” thing but I appreciate you taking the time to enlighten me on Freud :). I hate flying. I do it when I have no choice but I’ll avoid it if I can. I hate risk. I don’t even invest in “risky” things. Maybe I should. I’d have more money, maybe.

Our oldest was a skydiver in his late teens early twenties. The first time he went, I was worried sick. Years later he told me if he died skydiving don’t let anyone say, “Well, at least he died doing what he loved.” He said if he thought he was going to die doing it, he wouldn’t do it. If he did die, it was because either the plane crashed or he didn’t pack his emergency parachute correctly. All I can tell you is, this guy enjoys his family and enjoys living. He flies by the seat of his pants sometimes and maybe that makes him an adrenaline junkie but he does not have a death wish. I believe him. Most of us will spend whatever we have to keep living. JMHO.

That is their job as Barry’s attorneys but it is also the jury’s responsibility to realize this and stick to the facts. If I was a juror they would have to try a lot harder than just proving Suzanne told lies to cover up an affair to make me not like her. Nothing would shock me at this point but I truly hope that is the worst thing they can say about Suzanne. I’m concerned about them trying to make her seem like she was abusing drugs and alcohol. Because Barry kept mentioning that in his interviews.
Me too, but the Defense is not going to be able to present Suzanne as an alcoholic or drug abuser IMO, regardless of what BM says.

Suzanne just went through another round of cancer and she was prescribed pain pills and the 'CBD Tim' statement by BM is just beyond stupid. I don't think there is any way she would have been mixing pills and alcohol, especially with her lowered immune system.

I don't think they have any tangible evidence of either scenario, just more crap spewed by BM in his never ending lies.

I thought that "No I"m coming home" was a message from Barry around 11:30 am, when he was at the Beach site with MG.

Then, he leaves to run "an errand," (Media thread mentions that he returned from an errand at 2:44 (on page 24, I think the other timestamps are before that page).

I do wonder what the errand was supposed to be and whether Barry told her (leaving at 12:30 pm for the errand) that he'd be back near dinnertime. If so, she thought she had more time. I wonder what he was really doing during that time frame (11:30-2:44, do we know?)

JL does text that he has some alone time...IIRC.

I'm still stuck on whether Barry had something like keystroke software on her phone (easy to google how to do it) or whether she had disabled her iPhone from uploading pictures automatically to the Cloud (wouldn't that have made him suspicious?)
D'oh, you're right. I forgot he came home for lunch and then again in the afternoon.

I don't know the origin of the info but I've seen here that BM apparently spent the hour or so after lunch "looking for the turkey MM shot", though whether that was creekside at home or at the RV park I don't know, since I've seen both claimed.

MOO

Just more bullshat and I hope that the jurors are as equally able to apply common sense as you and I and almost everyone here to see through Barry's and his defense's 'suppositions'.
I don't think it's a stretch to think that BM forbade Suzanne from drinking any alcoholic beverage but she didn't behave toward the end.
I'd even think it became an issue if they were at a function.
If he is who I think he is, he didn't imbibe either or seldom did. Can't be in total control when impaired.

DA Linda Stanley on in about 10 minutes. MK mentioned they were going to be discussing (at least) circumstantial evidence. Should be interesting. O/T, is the kid on the right side of the screen Mike's son?

This is as I recall it also, @10ofRods. This was Tuesday, May12th, 2 days after SM disappeared. It was a very busy day for BM. I believe that this was the day he completely realized that he may actually be a suspect in her disappearance. He knew that LE was not buying his story. He needed to make sure he covered all bases.
AM was in town and he participated in a search with some of BM’s friends. BM put himself in a separate search group. He also sent TN and GD over to see MG and remind her she didn’t have to turn over her phone or talk to LE and that he wasn’t going to pay her because it would like hush hush money. Then BM slipped away from everyone and went rummaging through the trash at the Poncha Market and he was caught red handed.
My theory has been that he dumped SM’s phone in that trash can on his way out of town on Sunday morning after disabling it. He never thought that LE would doubt his story. He never thought that LE would be examining his movements on Sunday morning. Now he is nervous. What if he was captured on tape dumping that phone? He just had to go back and make sure it was not still in the trash. He thought the Market was closed. (Actually it was, but the employees were still inside.) when questioned he was so flustered he couldn’t even come up with a description of his missing wife.
Did he find what he was looking for on Tuesday evening or did he go back later?
I keep coming back to TN and GD. What motivation would they have to do BM's dirty work? They went over to MG's home and very directly 'reminded her' that she did not NEED to turn her phone over to LE or even TALK to LE. Then they suggested she would not be paid for the job, if it would 'look' like hush $. Why didn't BM handle that conversation himself?

What was BM, as well as TN and GD trying to hide? Did TN and GD also have "a vested interest" in discouraging MG from turning over her phone and not speaking with LE? MG left the state soon after in fear.

Lots of open questions...

All JMO, MOO, etc.

When I heard BM mention “CBD Tim” I nearly laughed, it sounded so cartoonish.

It reminded me of the comic books that are passed out to kids by the school resource cop (they called it the DARE program when I was in school, not sure if Drug Abuse Resistance Education is still a thing)

“Now kids, don’t talk to CBD Tim or Weed Wally……”

Yes - MK confirmed earlier that Skylar (on the right) is his son and his son-in-law is part of the "back office" that he frequently references.

Just watched DA Linda Stanley on Profiling Evil. She is very impressive! I feel very confident she will fight hard for Suzanne.

One other thing. I want to apologize for my comments the day BM was arrested and press conference was held. I criticized the way she dressed as informal and unprofessional.

Ms Stanley explained the judge signed off on the AA very late at night and at 1:30 AM she was driving to the arrest site to make sure she was there early enough to catch BM. She explained it was cold and she wanted to be comfortable and then she was told there would be an immediate PC.

Sooo, kudos to her and I just learned a lesson in judging someone that way!

I hope you all take time to watch the show. It was good.

Agree, it was a great show.

I have always loved the way she was dressed in her cowboy boots and jacket for the press conference.

I had felt it was a bold statement - there is a new sheriff riding into town.....

I couldn’t tune into all of the livestream video but the bits I did hear, well they were interesting. At one time she was explaining how pissed off she was at some of the questions & that she’s been on the show “three times now” and that people should know what she is about and not about by now (I think maybe there were comments about why she was doing this that she saw). I also heard a part where she was saying how annoyed she was at someone who asked about her case / how much she could prove to a jury/the Court and she essentially said she doesn’t have to prove anything to any stranger online lol.
I thought host asked some good questions, like the timing of the case and the death penalty being stopped in the state - but she seemed to dodge that and said for some people life without parole is worse than death, when he was asking about if not having the death penalty affected the timing or decision making in this case.

Not to mention that many cancer patients like to celebrate the fact that they are still alive by drinking a glass of wine. I am positive that BM's Defense is going to paint Suzanne as a pill-popping floozy, thus buying into BM's statement about her last photo looking "drunk," and the level of ableist nonsense that makes it possible for Defense to even say these things makes me furious.

Most humans can't even handle a wasp sting without crying, nevertheless what cancer patients go through as part of life. I'd be willing to mud wrestle anyone that denied a cancer patient a glass of wine. I guess that means I'd be wrestling BM. :)

Yes and I think she said I don’t care what you’ve been up to in recent years. She was done with him. I’m not sure if it was an affair or an economical thing she had it with him period.
I think she had an affair because BM had been unfaithful for years. She just decided to have one herself…what’s good for the goose…

Exactly. And isn't weed legal in Colorado? I mean CBD Tim makes it sound like this guy is some shady character rather than a man who owns a business distributing CBD products for chronic pain.

(I get my chronic pain CBD products from Colorado:)

Almost all of the trials I have followed have resulted in a good outcome for the prosecution. With the one exception that I can think of, off the top of my head, is Gable Tostee's trial (in the high-rise balcony death of his date, Warriena Wright). He walked, and I am not sure that he should have.
Yup, Gable Tostee is a real piece of work. Although he was acquitted (and has since changed his name), to me he ranks high up with other frightful excuses for human beings.

Actually, I would think they are already pretty much raised.
