Whats going on with the posts? The quotes are coming out all weird

1) Bicycle places SM in the wooded trail area;
2) SM was mountain lion prey;
3) SM abducted from the area (after search efforts exhausted).

I like it. All forms a plausible story - cougar attacks bike, causing a crash. Cougar runs off scared, but SM injured. Some "good Samaritan" (who turns out to be a maniac) offers to give her a lift to Urgent Care, and instead takes her to his Maniac Shack in Montana. In all seriousness, it provides a complete narrative that can't be disproved without contradictory forensics. Just like what Baez did with CA - providing a consistent version of what "may" have happened.

Re. the green bolded : Despite LE not having mentioned the bike, I find it interesting that the sender of the email described it as "crashed".
Very telling. Imo.
How did the sender know this ; if LE didn't divulge it to him/her ?
RSBM

So how are the police keeping all those 100+ searchers mum about the bike and it's current location???not one leak AMAZING.

Hmm why isn’t he sticking to one story if that’s what he truly believes happened to his wife of 32 years but he’s throwing whatever out there hoping people will have the mindset he had nothing to do with it and buy one of his 3 choices. JMO
If he really did initially think SM was kidnapped for ransom, I can see how he’d abandon this idea after no one contacted him for payment. Then I suppose his mind would cast about for other explanations.

I’m not sure I think this is what’s going on, but it’s possible.

I keep forgetting about the email to the church saying the bike was "crashed" and a mountain lion was spotted in the area.

TN stresses questioning LE about the condition of the bike. Since he is a nephew, it's certainly possible his family were also members of the church. Could he have sent the email, based on what he had been told by BM?

I am very very curious if he has an attorney actively advising him. I think he does.

All of this is speculation/my opinion.

Maybe because the beneficiary was changed ?
Or possibly b/c people aren't sure what the funds will be used for ?
Since the monies obviously aren't being used for foot or drone searches.

And a substantial reward was already offered and in the latest video interview of the husband the reward was mentioned again.
It still stands.

So, what is it being used for ?
Imo.

I wish there was some accountability on funds raised, such as an explanation of how they are being used currently.

BM notes that he is using the services of a private investigator. If only we could find out if that’s true. Just another one of his stories I ain’t buying.

Like I said before, there is likely lots and lots of electronic evidence that LE is sifting through.

We can only speculate based on the very few pieces of info released.

Why would’ve BM been in the creek? Surely that water would be ice cold. Was BM searching for something in the creek?

“Draper said that the weather on Saturday was gray, rainy, and a bit cold, but that Morphew looked like “he had fallen through ice … He looked like a zombie.” Draper said he believes Morphew must have been in the creek, and said that while he didn’t see Morphew emerge from the woods separating the creek from the road, he believes that would have been the only way Morphew could have accessed his car without passing Draper in the other direction. The two men did not speak at that time, Draper said, noting that Morphew did not look at him as he was driving by.”

Wasn't he using that video to announce the reward? I believe he thought she was still alive and would be returned if he offered money. Families make video pleas all the time in cases such as this one. Mollie Tibbett's mom did one and I don't recall anyone on WS found it weird.

JMO

Missing Iowa student Molly Tibbett's mother pleads with potential abductor

Mollie's mom's reward offer is no comparison here!! Crime Stoppers was offering a $2,000 reward for Mollie from the beginning and about 3 weeks later others suggested a fund set up to raise the reward.

In this case, we learned about both the $100,000 reward by the still unidentified husband at the time, and the crowd money fund set up by the nephew within 3 days of SM reported missing.

I'm not even sure if SM's missing person posters were out yet when the generous reward offered. MOO

Re. the lavender bolded : Out of curiosity, who saw this elusive creature ? Because, inquiring minds and all that...

Thx for green bolded! Holy cows. That is a major kerduffle, describing the bike as "crashed" less than 24 hours after she was reported missing. I imagine, if the bike was staged, it was staged to look "crashed." This looks like an example of the stager thinking he was smarter that he really was, not realizing that divulging this information would incriminate him. Moo

@Angleterre did a really great breakdown, I think in the last thread, about all the work that goes on in an investigation behind the scenes.

The electronic stuff sounds not only painstaking, and tedious, but extremely time consuming. Hours and hours of CCTV, for example, that someone has to sit and watch and watch carefully.

I think it's a planted video. Hey BM, I'm a youtuber, tell your story man! It would be even better for it to appear on the DL. You know, like you're not being filmed, like really you man in real life c'mon man let's do this! Gets hyped up for EPIC failure. SM 1 BM -8

I learned a few things, BM is feeling heat enough to do this vid. Likes word play/minimize: "Cat" no bro that's a Lion, 200x power of "a cat". Kinda like Watts when he got "conversation" from putting Shanann in a Half Nelson and choking her out on a bed of pillows so no injury. I thought the marks were the tie from a garbage bag. But now realize, He wore his long sleeve shirt inside out. Those markings along her jaw to head from the stitching of seam on clothing. So read autopsy b4 you talk to me. Edit to add: Her face is west, feet east, right side by groin and liver is injured, that's from wrapping your legs around someone. I'm never budging on that.

Most important: BM says, THAT trail leads to Denver. I am SO interested in the points/stops before and after that path all the way to Denver, including but not limited to it's off paths/highway access. Edit to add: you know I might want you to drop me off and scoop me up at the next exit? I def

Maybe because BM was looking or diving into the creek for something and couldn't find it ?
Imo.

“Draper said he contacted the Chaffee County Sheriff’s tip line and left at least one message about his encounters with Morphew, but as of Monday evening had not heard back.“

BBM

Interesting portion of this article. Why would LE not have contacted him as of tonight, almost 40 hours after the tip was called in?

Good questions.^^^

Three reasons that I will speculate on :

1) LE do not believe they can fully trust TD ?
Not because of something nefarious, but that he might not keep something confidential, and instead put it all over social media ?

2) LE knows something about TD's past friendships or relationships, that we do not ?
So they don't want to discuss this specifically with him ?

3) This is an open investigation and LE need to keep as much as possible confidential due to a surplus of unfounded rumors via social media ?

Thanks for posting this.
This is just strange and I agree w/you, it's odd and seems unnecessary.
Imo.

Well that begs the question of why ?

BM's mom isn't going to be walking in the wilderness searching; and it looks like no one else has been asked.

If needed a fund can be used for a person's defense, correct ?

May I add to number 1 the additional comment that maybe TD isn't being 100% truthful about this? Or playing word games, like maybe a prosecuting attorney contacted him, but not LE themselves?

Umm wait... So just because a man is muscular it means he was taking "something" for his health and fitness?? The dude was a an athlete, he works landscaping, he hunts, he passed the firefighter physical exam. Yes he looks beat down but he is still out there. If he came out in a polo and some pressed pants and a new hair cut people would say "he doesn't look beat down enough he must be fine" the dude can't find the woman is spent over 30 years with. How should he look?

I’ve seen it mentioned several times that he hunts. Do you know where that info came from? I saw people discussing it because there are deer heads on the walls in his house, but they were there before he moved in, plus you can buy stuff like that as decor. So I was just wondering.

Yet he opens the plea with a wistful "Oh Suzanne". What do you make of that?
I know that I am in the minority here, but when he opened the video with "Oh Suzanne", I felt desperation on his part and I felt that he was speaking as to, I wish I would have been here to protect you. I most certainly have not killed anyone, but I sat on my couch saying the words he spoke and for the life of me, I couldn't do it without shaking my head side to side.

I’m not sure I think this is what’s going on, but it’s possible.
But, as early as May 11 someone sent a message to church members in Indiana floating the mountain lion theory....I think that's the day after she was reported missing:
"CrimeOnline has viewed a message that was sent to members of the Morphew’s former church in Indiana, requesting prayers following the news of her disappearance. The message notes that Morphew’s bike was found “crashed,” and mentions that a mountain lion had been seen in the area where the bike was discovered.

“Barry is just beside himself and so are the rest of us because they can’t find her,” the message, sent on May 11, reads in part.

Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze said during the first week of the search that investigators believed it was unlikely Morphew was the victim of an animal attack."

LE mentioned "the bike" on May 10 when they announced SM was a missing person.

Although LE has never confirmed that "the bike" was located, it was within days that a family member (TN) said, "the bike" was recovered the same evening SM was reported missing.

Since those early reports, there have been several MSM reports as to where LE recovered "the bike" from.

Most recently, it was BM that said "the bike" was recovered from a ravine (near where Ty and BM were standing), and that LE saw a mountain lion pass a parked LE vehicle -- also on the road Ty and BM were standing.

The Sheriff previously stated he did not believe an animal involved in SM's disappearance.
