That being said, Barry may believe that multiple persons pose more of a threat than the "drug addict," which is not an unreasonable assumption, though it could be wrong. Moreover, he may feel more under threat now because of all the social media posts engendered by Suzanne's disappearance.

Barry believes the drug addict poses sufficient threat and danger that he proposed him as a suspect in Suzanne’s disappearance, that can’t just be hindsight -something made him feel he was very dangerous (if he exists)

I wouldn’t find it weird if his wife wasn’t missing. She is though, and he should be rolling out the welcome mat for anyone who wants to help find her.

He should also be out there himself, personally thanking searchers, and you know, helping to find his damn wife.

I think the primary reason for this search is in fact to find Suzanne. The psychological warfare is an added benefit, and it’s a move I absolutely love.

I was hoping they’d show a strong presence near the family home; not because I think Suzanne is there, but because it would unsettle Barry.

It clearly worked. I hope they do it again tomorrow, the next day, and the day after that.
I decided to bolden some of your remarks.

And as for your comment: "I was hoping they’d show a strong presence near the family home; not because I think Suzanne is there, but because it would unsettle Barry."

Lasts night's recap on PE, AM said he and a group headed straight for the Morphew property. He wanted to focus on the boundary outside BM's property. Ha! Do I think his actions intended to reduce his opponent's morale or unsettle him? Yup!!!
It was strategic. It was perfect!
BAM!!!

BM likes to scare people. It makes him feel strong. It's his
go-to fix when he gets scared, or his ego gets bruised. He's been scared and bruised for 5 months.

That's what the shotgun was all about. I bet it made him feel better to strut around with his gun and protect his property.
He really showed those nasty searchers how big and tough he is.

He doesn't have good sense. And unfortunately he never will.

I wonder what BM was up to last night after AM’s search concluded.

I’d imagine after BM’s antics yesterday the CBI/FBI had a watchful eye on him.

Again, I don't see his actions as suspicious. The search is open to anyone, including anyone who may be intent on causing Barry Morphew or his property harm. To me, it seems that placing cameras on one's property & protecting oneself with a shotgun while outdoors is simply a reasonably prudent reaction when one knows that danger is possibly close.
My family and I all live in Texas and Colorado and have land. I understand guns and property rights and all that very very well. This is NOT that. This is an unhinged psycho who refuses to look for his missing wife and is trying to intimidate the people who ARE looking for her. There is nothing normal or “reasonable” about what he’s doing. I fear this is is heading to a dangerous standoff situation.

Maybe he should've finally gotten his security system hooked up/fixed whatever. He's not even living there at the moment, from what we know.
If someone were to plant something, it would be on camera - he's had lots of time make sure of it.
And what could they steal, boulders?
There are only 100+ searchers and, AFAIK, they're not all on the same search.
Nah, BM is nervous AF for a reason. The rifle, wtf? He doesn't have to be there to protect anything.
He's only projecting his massive ego.
There's one loon there alright, IMO.
Sometimes I wish there was something more than a "like" button!

Also: AM said last night, that 100 volunteer's had the app downloaded but there were actually 420+ who searched yesterday. Their steps will be downloaded today what they accomplished yesterday.

Barry doesn’t have the presence of mind to put up trail cams even though he purportedly moved out of his home because of privacy issues. He had 4 months to put up those cameras, yet chose the day that he knew people and media would be everywhere. But the gun-what’s the point? Is he going to shoot a trespasser? Is this his way of threatening people? Why would he threaten people that want to find his wife? How unhinged is he?

This is my speculation - but I think it’s related to drugs.

-Meth has come up a lot and with various people all in BM’s orbit
-Salida is the cross roads of three highways making it an ideal location for trafficking
-The locals refer to the secrets in the mountains but everyone seems to scared to talk
-The former Sherriff of the county next to Chaffee opined very early on that he thought this would be more than a domestic issue.
-We seen alledged ****/mob like behavior out of GD and TN and probably others that I’m forgetting.

I’m not saying this is why SM was murdered but more than likely there is significant illegal activity that risks being exposed as part of this murder investigation.

FWIW, BM’s behavior has many common tendencies of someone that uses.
This is seeming more and more plausible to me.

Erratic, irrational and aggressive behavior can also be symptoms of drug WITHDRAWL. If he were using any drugs before whether recreational drugs or steroids, LE most certainly have eagle eyes on him which would make obtaining them at this time difficult and extremely risky.

What if SM was not originally on the property but after two search warrants were executed on the property and BM s not arrested, he decided to move SM’s body back to the property as he felt like that was now his safest option to conceal her and is why he’s being so protective of his land.

What if the evidence AM’s team found was relatively “fresh”

I wonder where BM’s recent hunting trip took him?

Very possible but EXTREMLY RISKY.

Bbm.
Exactly, his timing tells us clearly what the motive for his actions is. He wanted to thumb his nose at the searchers and AM in particular. He expressed his emotions, hatred.

For a great look at some of the challenging terrain these searchers are on, go look at DWAP's videos on his fb. Super videos.
This will give you a tiny peek at the difficulty
in finding SM. It's worse than a needle in a haystack.
I'm guessing LE has no valid gps to track BM during the time they think he went out to bury her. they're just too all over the place.
I don't think they'll ever find her unless a hiker some day stumbles across her bones.
Powell never batted an eyelash during searches for his wife. I can't imagine finding SM in a mine hundreds of feet deep. Only if he left sign between the vehicle and the mine. He could easily have disguised foot prints.

I think it could be interesting to see if BM goes back to living at the Puma Path residence.

If so, why go to a condo in Poncha Springs for a couple weeks/months only to go back home? Did BM know he’s being watched and that he could not move the body? But maybe called in a favor from a friend to help him out with that?

It’s pretty far fetched but i usually get a little out there reading up on this case and having coffee.

It would be a smart move if you could pull it off knowing they have already had 2 search warrants and its going to be even harder for them to get a third. Its pretty out there but it's always worth considering as possibility.

The fact that he isn’t out searching for his wife is very suspicious.

Why isn’t he encouraging the searchers? It is like he doesn’t care if his wife is ever found.

He could have posted the whole perimeter, and placed cameras. He'd have the force of law behind him. He had plenty of time. I know Barry, I don't mean literally of course. I saw it so many times when I lived in the country, over reaction and waving a gun around. Yes it may simply have been broken over his shoulder but it's the same thing.

It’s baffling to me how he can’t even PRETEND to care. He doesn’t even TRY. I think he’s completely over the edge and/or drugs.
