‘I’m afraid this is domestic abuse’; Suzanne Morhpew’s brother says husband not participating in search, carrying shotgun to keep people off property

CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Suzanne Morphew has been missing since May. Suzanne’s brother, Andrew Moorman, organized a search for her that will last until Sept. 29.

On Friday, Moorman spoke with FOX31 and Channel 2 about how the search is going.

Moorman said that the search team found evidence near the Morphew residence on Thursday but could not be more specific about what it was. He said that the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and sheriff’s office are processing the evidence.

Lets take it just one step further.

Lets say for argument sake BM had been drinking and took an "upper."

Ok, now he's out patrolling. Let's say while he's under the influence he trips on a tree stump maybe he doesn't fall but drops his riffle and it fires. Lets say it hits a searcher in the shoulder....

Foolish is as foolish does....

Even if there was no drinking or upper and he still strips and hits a searcher, its still foolishness on his part.

I think you meant “trips” but the “strips” typo made me LOL because I could picture that too! :D

Jeez, I must have forgotten - never seen this quote attributed to The Denver Gazette (expect some will ask them?) so much on this case as within this link it says (does anyone have an easy link to bump for this???)

"Law enforcement investigators told The Denver Gazette that her turquiose bike helmet was found nearby days later"
I wonder what fingerprints LE found on that helmet. If it was wiped clean then we have a red flag. If there are other prints - to whom do they belong? At that point of potential panic was someone smart enough to be wearing gloves? moo

I am hoping that the owner of the tracking website is collecting analytics as to what regions are being clicked on, zoomed in on, etc. and from what IP address those clicks originate. If someone who hid a body might be curious as to how hot or cold someone else is...

wow - what many have suspected is being confirmed IMO - so those initial "quiet" comments about him being "controlling" were much more than just that - sigh.. poor SM.

and my guess is they were interviewing the friend who she was last communicating with - IMO

Good point. I'm hoping this was their second, maybe even third time speaking to this friend. Certainly, LE is not just finding out about this text conversation (assuming) recently, right? I guess I'm just hoping that LE is not reacting to information now that has been released to the public recently. That would scare me a little about this investigation. IMO

That article also states that a team of detectives traveled to IN to interview relatives and friends of SM last month and as recent as last week.

Interesting. IMO
Very smart! And very smart, to release nothing (poor us). IMO, there is more to it than only "avarice, greed" because of a pending divorce. Important would be perhaps, WHY Suzanne filed for divorce or would have filed for divorce. Something BIG (evil? dirty?) must have happened in 2017, and that would have been still in Indiana, before their move to Colorado.

The Denver Gazette

If the info of the helmet is true that pretty much rules out an abductor, not that I ever really believed one existed in the first place. If somebody incapacitated Suzanne, she would by then most likely be in the trunk of a vehicle or in the cargo area of a van and won’t be able to throw a helm to anywhere anymore. As noted by others before, the fictional abductor would have no reason to unbuckle her helmet and if for one reason or an other it came loose by some fight, then the fastest way to get rid of it would be to throw it down with the bike not taking it into the car and slow down again further on the road to throw it out of the window.

How about this bombshell quote from AM:

I think that she was abducted. I don’t think she ever got on her bike. I think she probably died Saturday and she was hidden somewhere Saturday night and we’re pushing forward and that’s the theories that we have right now that seem to be correct.” shared Moorman.

Abducted and died Saturday? That is extremely sinister and alters the ‘she was killed in the house’ thoughts.

In Monday night's Choir Practice, CM brought up the elk hunting again, this time not as a hypothetical.

Also of note, LS reported that she was unable to interview GD. Because he was elk hunting.

So there's that.

JMO

Not as a hypothetical but also didn't name names so, there's that. That CM is a rascal.

Now i really want to know the proximity of the bike to the helmet, its a pretty significant piece of information.

Suzanne was working with domestic abuse meetings. Did she keep that a secret from BM? Is he just now finding that out? Wow.

  • #737
And the potential evidence AM’s group found was right next to the M’s property and happened to be right where BM was hanging trail cams and holding a weapon.

I hope LE can process this evidence quickly and obtain a 3rd warrant for the property. If the evidence is connected to SM, I think that is likely.

Do you think Barry is cheap, or believes that “Barry knows best”? He’s doing everything wrong. A PR person, an attorney, a good friend, would advise Barry to have minimal contact with the press, not respond to any rumors, stay inside, and maybe issue a statement thanking the people who have volunteered their time and resources to find his beloved wife.

Maybe they are just giving him enough rope to hang himself at this point. How anyone could still think he is innocent is beyond reason but it still may be hard to accept for family & friends who may be in shock and denial. So maybe they are just stepping back and letting BM’s deeds and actions determine his own fate...whatever will be will be...it’s too late for him to turn his image around or advice to be followed now. IMO
