Check out this article from today:

‘I’m afraid this is domestic abuse’; Suzanne Morhpew’s brother says husband not participating in search, carrying shotgun to keep people off property

CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Suzanne Morphew has been missing since May. Suzanne’s brother, Andrew Moorman, organized a search for her that will last until Sept. 29.

On Friday, Moorman spoke with FOX31 and Channel 2 about how the search is going.

Moorman said that the search team found evidence near the Morphew residence on Thursday but could not be more specific about what it was. He said that the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and sheriff’s office are processing the evidence.

Well, well, I knew I had him pegged with my favourite moniker for him, Barry the Brute!! Poor Suzanne :( I know so many women and some men that are too sweet. It’s not a flaw by any means but they have so much empathy, compassion and love for others, even those that don’t deserve it and those will use it and take such advantage of their goodness. These relationships bring me to tears because I’ve witnessed the effect on the victim, their dedication to the relationship despite constant abuse, whether physical, emotional or spiritual.

I hope AM is right and that LE are close to sealing that envelope!

wow - this feels like it's building up to something.....
is an arrest imminent?

That could be! Maybe that's why AM said he thought something big was going to happen today. I don't know exactly how he worded it, but he seemed to expect there would be a significant outcome very soon.

I wonder how he knows the evidence they found was relevant to the case. Maybe LE confirmed that to him? Andy told searchers to look out for burn piles. Was this near the residence?
great last paragraph.
AM said 'today' was going to be very "exciting".
per my notes he also said,
"We turned up some interesting items near Puma Path".
Items, plural.
So yes, the interesting items were found close to the residence.

From same article:

The Denver Gazette

Law enforcement investigators told The Denver Gazette that her turquoise bike helmet was found nearby days later.

BBM

Did we know that?

I had to look up this new publication!
Almost 50 yrs of both Denver & Colorado Springs area newspaper reading, a new one surprised me, had never heard of Den Gazette, launched in August it appears

Yes I knew about that, I just thought maybe an actual hunting trip had been disclosed and I'd missed it. In this instance, Chris was giving a hypothetical to ask a question about the difference between a pathological liar and a compulsive liar. It is curious though, that he used that specific hypothetical. So, if a hunting trip does turn out to actually have happened, I will certainly not be surprised. CM has a way of dropping little nuggets here and there.

Didn’t Andy say he was elk hunting? Before yesterday? I thought Andy was the one who was informed of this but might be wrong. Don’t have time to go back and listen but maybe someone else knows where to find it. I’m thinking Andy was speaking to PE in one of the updates leading up to the search.

Possibly items that were meant to be found earlier???

Probably not a popular opinion, but does anyone think that the potential evidence that was found could have also been staged, or just left behind on purpose? Seems odd that something of investigative value would be left so close to home. I certainly hope whatever it is helps locate her or at least aids in the arrest of someone.
And the potential evidence AM’s group found was right next to the residence and happened to be right where BM was hanging trail cams and holding a weapon.

I hope LE can process this evidence quickly and obtain a 3rd warrant for the property. If the evidence is connected to SM, I think that is likely.

Do you think Barry is cheap, or believes that “Barry knows best”? He’s doing everything wrong. A PR person, an attorney, a good friend, would advise Barry to have minimal contact with the press, not respond to any rumors, stay inside, and maybe issue a statement thanking the people who have volunteered their time and resources to find his beloved wife.
My opinion? Suzanne was the brains, the strength, and the lodestar of that whole family. Now that she is gone, the person whom she propped up/defended/guided/protected has quickly fallen apart and shown his true self.

news is coming in fast, and the thread's starting to boogie, so sorry if this has been posted, but info about the texts in this one.

Search continues for missing Colorado mother. (The Gazette)

"A friend spoke to Morphew over social media the day she went missing about an upcoming wedding, some hours later she made several posts that family and friends said were "out of character," according to the organization helping to lead search efforts."

How about this bombshell quote from AM:

I think that she was abducted. I don’t think she ever got on her bike. I think she probably died Saturday and she was hidden somewhere Saturday night and we’re pushing forward and that’s the theories that we have right now that seem to be correct.” shared Moorman.

Abducted and died Saturday? That is extremely sinister and alters the ‘she was killed in the house’ thoughts.

BBM - Where did BM say he was Saturday night?

So she was already being abused in some fashion in that 'marriage'. :(
Mentally, physically, psychologically... we don't know.
It doesn't surprise me, given his recent actions.

Who is god's names shows up to prevent searchers who are just trying to help him find his wife ?
Imo.

But that makes perfect sense, if by chance he really was going home to make her happy by hiking or biking. It doesn't explain an anomaly in her texting at 8 am, but maybe there is another explanation for that, we still don't know if it was in mid sentence or it was a lack of answering. And they have been all over the clock with varying times for that anyway.
It's always seemed logical to me that he took her from the house and killed her elsewhere, maybe even having a grave already dug, or a plan for a certain mine shaft. He could have killed her at 8, hid her temporarily then finished the job in the evening.

I understand your point. I'm not really hopeful that the potential evidence found yesterday will be related to this case. Outdoor areas have interesting items dropped by people, littering or trash even blown in from someone's trashcans.

It would be an insane stroke of luck (IMO) for a group of searchers to find related evidence right away, in an area I'm assuming checked by LE before.

Then there's the side of me that knows there are screwed up people (not at all related to this case) in this world who would plant "evidence" to just to watch it unfold from the sidelines. The upcoming search was announced well in advance. That of course would be very cruel AND a waste of LE resources to investigate.

IMO

it very well could be true .... you say CM 'has a way of dropping little nuggets', i call it talking in riddles... it is very frustrating at times

I am hoping that the owner of the tracking website is collecting analytics as to what regions are being clicked on, zoomed in on, etc. and from what IP address those clicks originate. If someone who hid a body might be curious as to how hot or cold someone else is...

What a fantastic thought. This is a great suggestion for LE and the PE folks. LE is probably already doing that but it would not hurt to share that tip if possible.

And yes, now an "abductor to hire" might come into the play, who is BM's friend and helped him to get his timeline .... not really right, but at least somehow possible at all. MOO

If SM's bike helmet was found, and only hers and Barry's fingerprints are on it, then the mountain lion did not leave his paw print? IMO..speculative

BBM And there it is - Confirmation of Domestic Abuse - this is what we have all speculated was happening. The only reason SM would be working Domestic Abuse Meetings was because of her own circumstances. This is so disturbing to see in black and white. He would have never consented to just letting her walk away! MOO

Praying today is the day something huge breaks!

It really does feel that way. I have to think that LE has done a fantastic job of letting BM twist in the wind all this time. His actions will help convince a jury of his guilt.
You old sleuthers have reminded us that we will be astonished when the AA is released by the evidence. I'm already feeling a little astonished this morning. I hope it's an indication that an arrest is near. Moo

Did he go home after leaving MG, and suggest to SM that they take a walk/hike on their property and that’s how he got her out of the house? Did he say, “let’s walk over there, I want to show you something?”
