My opinion? Suzanne was the brains, the strength, and the lodestar of that whole family. Now that she is gone, the person whom she propped up/defended/guided/protected has quickly fallen apart and shown his true self.
great post, and I totally agree.
And since it appears BM has gone off the deep end whether through drugs or alcohol or poor
character or judgement, it makes me wonder how many other times SM rescued him from himself over the years?
As I've mentioned before, so many times I've observed the "good wife" who kept the bad boy husband on the straight and narrow. She became the wise mother over her errant son.

Then he offs the goose that laid the golden egg.
Where would BM be today, had he not had SM
to monitor and steer his behavior all these years?

Today's article shoves the timeline back to Saturday.

8am her messaging ends abruptly. Assuming it's her typing....we know BM arrived, with MG, in Salida at 9am, yes? So either he was impersonating Suzanne up until 8 am when he left for work OR Suzanne was alive until 8am....

Time was short.

If BM was in Salida for a couple hours before he suddenly called work off, where was SUZANNE during that time?

Did he hide her in a cooler, or in his toolbox, just until he could figure out his next step?

How about this bombshell quote from AM:

I think that she was abducted. I don’t think she ever got on her bike. I think she probably died Saturday and she was hidden somewhere Saturday night and we’re pushing forward and that’s the theories that we have right now that seem to be correct.” shared Moorman.

Abducted and died Saturday? That is extremely sinister and alters the ‘she was killed in the house’ thoughts.
bbm
That startled me as well.

Let's say BM took her somewhere against her will-- is that not a kidnapping ?
Or if another perp at BM's behest took her out of the house.
Idk.
I'm not going to let that discourage me, or consider a random kidnapper --as LE never treated her vanishing like that.

What if AM is saying this to not further tip off BM ?
And AM doesn't want to say "Suzanne's husband did something to her." Even if he thinks BM was behind this from day one ?
Deflecting to put BM off guard and sit back and watch BM ?
Imo.

Seeing BM pacing the property line IN HIS PRESENT STATE OF MIND. Let that sink in.
I'm not an alarmist by nature.
In fact, the complete opposite.
But this situation alarms me.
He is a powder keg, IMO.

Like a cornered animal.

Did he go home after leaving MG, and suggest to SM that they take a walk/hike on their property and that’s how he got her out of the house? Did he say, “let’s walk over there, I want to show you something?”
but, but why the bleach smell in the house?
otherwise I like your theory.

Probably not a popular opinion, but does anyone think that the potential evidence that was found could have also been staged, or just left behind on purpose? Seems odd that something of investigative value would be left so close to home. I certainly hope whatever it is helps locate her or at least aids in the arrest of someone.
bbm
Agreed .
That's a valid opinion ! ^^^

What if BM put those things there to throw off the searchers ?
And the trail cams as well ?
All whilst BM is snickering at the searchers and AM as they desperately look for Suzanne and answers.
Loathsome creature.

Re. the lavender bolded : So she was already being abused in some fashion in that 'marriage'. :(
Mentally, physically, psychologically... we don't know.
It doesn't surprise me, given his recent actions.

Who is god's names shows up to prevent searchers who are just trying to help him find his wife ?
Imo.
sorry i got lost trying to find out which part of the quote was lavender.... ;-)

I think the article opened with a typo. key word omitted.

I [don't] think she was abducted.
I don't think a mountain lion got her.

It almost makes me think AM is talking about possible accomplice(s).

Or did he mention going biking (perhaps BM recently acquired a bike for this reason) and tell SM to get on her gear and helmet that he’d be home soon.

Then in some fashion she is abducted, and her helmet and bike clothes are thrown out off Hwy 50?

Agreed.
Graphic comment warning :

I keep thinking he lost it and hit her with a closed fist or a tool.
Then had to clean up spatter or other bodily fluids.
Imo.

I wonder how much of the domestic abuse the daughters seen or heard.

If SM's bike helmet was found, and only hers and Barry's fingerprints are on it, then the mountain lion did not leave his paw print? IMO..speculative

BBM:

It probably wore gloves.

Whoops.

Ahhhh. That makes more sense than anything I was coming up with.

Hope they correct that. Kind of a big error.

Yes !
Maybe someone has been 'talking' to LE and we just don't know yet ?
And no arrest as of now, as LE are going for the big one ?
Other arrests can happen at the same time.
This could get a lot more complicated.

Respectfully snipped.

When a search operation is active, the more agitated the suspected actor is, the closer you generally are to either evidence or the remains. Keep in mind that the actors friends (what ever their motive) are keeping tabs on what LE is doing, the searchers are doing and what groups like this are doing.

I don't ever remember a suspected actor taking shots at searchers. Only time I ever came close to that was when I was tracking an armed bank robber. Attacking searchers would be just WAY too obvious and I would hope his friends would make that clear to him.

And while we are on the subject of the actors friends, if you are reading this and know something but are keeping quiet, you too could be charged for withholding evidence. Is it worth losing your family, home and everything you have worked for? Think about that long and hard.
Now that's an interesting thought! I have to assume LE went over that property with a fine tooth com & dogs, right?

BBM And there it is - Confirmation of Domestic Abuse - this is what we have all speculated was happening. The only reason SM would be working Domestic Abuse Meetings was because of her own circumstances. This is so disturbing to see in black and white. He would have never consentEd to just letting her walk away! MOO

Praying today is the day something huge breaks!
BM will have a great problem now with publicly shown as an abusing husband, if not also responsible for Suzanne's disappearing/murder. IMO
Serves him right! :(

Well that would be a HUGE difference! I think you might be right that it should have had a “don’t.” In fact, that’s how I read it the first time, but did a double take when I realized it said “I think..”

Protect his property from what? This isn’t some mob of deranged criminals (or meth heads, as I’m sure our good friend Barry would say) It’s a well coordinated search for Barry’s wife of 20 years. The search team was in contact with both the sheriff and CBI. They weren’t going to storm Barry’s house.
Here it is in a nutshell...Barry is toting a firearm during a crowd-sourced-search yet jumped on the opportunity with both hands out for crowd-sourced-funding.
It has always been all about the MONEY..never about Suzanne.
