Better yet, when his wife disappeared and a chance someone took her. He, his girls & Mom were in the home, he was supposedly out looking for Suzanne daily. No concern for the women at home alone then?

Oh wait, maybe the home security cameras were working again ...
bbm
Ita with all of the above.

Annnd, those pesky home security cameras do have a way of turning themselves off and on again ....;)
Poor BM can't seem to catch a break these days.

BM will have a great problem now with publicly shown as an abusing husband, if not also responsible for Suzanne's disappearing/murder. IMO
Serves him right! :(

Great Point! No One admires an abusive husband, much less one who maybe behind bars soon!

Bam Bam Barry now has more public image problems! I’m concerned how much the girls know and wonder if they will consider talking to investigators if they haven’t already. They’re old enough to know when they see abuse.

Women, please don't keep your relationships/marriages secret. The person you might think you're protecting isn't likely protecting you. Good or bad, confide in someone.

Someday that person might be the only voice you have left.

This is so true! Human nature is to protect our loved ones, even those that don't know how to love and also feeling shame. Sweeping abuse (all types of abuse, drugs, alcohol, physical/mental/emotional, etc) under the rug, hoping it will change, tap dancing around the issue...so true!!

interview with andy (fox31)

"she was abducted saturday, not sunday, i don't think she got on her bicycle, if you want the truth of the matter. i expect she's somewhere in the mountains."

"do you think her husband did it? 'i think it's a strong possibility.' "

Moorman Interview on Daybreak – FOX31 Denver

Whoa. So the abduction quote is accurate?

I wonder if he took SM biking and killed her on a remote trail. The disposed of the bike, helmet, clothing because 1. He had it on him already 2. He knew it would be a decent opportunity to stage something else.

That does leave her phone as a key missing piece of this puzzle.

LE knows all about this - and may have already on Mother’s Day. Thus, explaining why they didn’t buy the bike theory.

JMO
Yes. It’s a VERY small town.

  • #806
Yes, the bleach. How could I forget about that?
I think the bleach clean up was Sunday early probably 5am and was a secondary clean up and more thorough - in my own experiment it smelled strongest when I did it before work and then came home around 6pm - by the next day I could hardly smell it (recall my experiment was cleaning up red wine spills on tile and leaving the paper towels to bleach the tile overnight)

Or the other very common form of domestic abuse - financial abuse?
JMO

There is no doubt about it, in my opinion. There was financial abuse. No landline, no security cameras. "You're not going anywhere." Emotional abuse, dehumanizing disregard. Isolation is a big time abuse. But physical abuse is the reason most women finally recognize and seek help. Moo

Perfect Post! Thank You @Megnut! We have to educate our “sisters”. So sad that 4 females a day die by the hands of their intimate partner!

If this were the case the bleach smell in the house and the hotel could be from barry cleaning evidence off himself maybe he did that twice, once at the house and again at the hotel to be extra careful.
Well, if he really did say he thought she was abducted, maybe BM told Suzanne he wanted to go on a hike or a bike ride on Saturday like he mentioned to MG.

Andy mentioned finding evidence on top of the mountain not far from the residence. Could he have attacked and killed her there and then staged the bike scene?

That might explain why LE didn't find enough evidence in the house to prove she had been killed there.

It sounds like AM definitely has some strong information and or evidence to be coming out with some of these statements. For him to use the word abducted is pretty bold, He deffinelty knows something that we don't at this time. I'm looking forward to tonight's second day search briefing on PE.

Probably not a popular opinion, but does anyone think that the potential evidence that was found could have also been staged, or just left behind on purpose? Seems odd that something of investigative value would be left so close to home. I certainly hope whatever it is helps locate her or at least aids in the arrest of someone.

I don't think whatever was found will necessarily end up having anything to do with the case. During searches for missing people, lots of stuff gets tagged by searchers. I tend to be a bit cynical during searches since there is a random aspect to the whole thing.

In my area, as one example, a large search took place over a couple days and people were tagging anything they saw -- a torn tshirt, a used condom (ewww), an old shoe, someone found a rusted shovel. Those are the things I remember, but there were more items than that. None of the things found had any connection to the missing person or the crime, but LE did a thorough job of collecting and bagging each item, just in case.

Exactly! It does make sense that she was killed somewhere else outside of the house or they probably would have had enough evidence already. If he took her somewhere in the mountains and killed her, that = premeditated!

I forget which poster has been speculating for a while now that he took her in the mountains and pushed her off a cliff. I think now that could be the case.

Would a large quantity of liquid chlorine left open (which then turns into gas) be enough gas to knock someone unconscious?

Would the smell be so powerful that it would be noticeable 24 hours later?

so how would that fit with the abrupt end of the conversation with the friend - assuming it was at 8am ? come on a bike ride with me now? spill something that needs a bleach clean up ? they are on bikes riding and he rams her bike? I don't see this myself. considering he then picked up MG at 9am and they worked until 11am. all on saturday? I'm still thinking she was knocked out at 8am and there was blood - he put her in a cooler and then went to pick up MG - clean up began at 11am and then she was taken ___________and left or my alternative theory - in any case, I don't see a bike ride together Saturday morning.

I don't know if she was killed in her home, but I think she was harmed in her home. Bleach.

That article also states that a team of detectives traveled to IN to interview relatives and friends of SM last month and as recent as last week.

Interesting. IMO
Agreed. It would seem to me that if they are talking that much with people from IN, that it is possible, and maybe even likely, that those conversations tie in with motive (as opposed to what actually happened Mother's Day weekend)? Maybe they are building a case for premeditated murder?

  • #817
Regarding AM saying he thinks SM was "abducted" on Saturday. I noticed sometimes AM misspeaks. Certainly not on purpose, but occasionally his words aren't quite accurate.

Example: when he talked about BM living in a condo in Pueblo, CO, which made no sense since that's 2 to 3 hrs away, locals said he probably meant "Poncha Springs" which aligned with the location AM described as being much closer to Salida. IIRC AM did say he got those 2 towns confused.

So "abduction" to me doesn't align with a random person taking SM but that she was removed from her house, not under her own steam, and it occurred on Sat, and she was deceased when that occurred.

IMO

Ok, this bit of information is completely different, IMO, than odd FB friend requests going out or the 'people you may know' speculation the forum has discussed.

I take this as SM FB account actually posting content- whether pictures or actual text. Was it actually her (in distress) or someone posing as her. That's a lot different. IMO

I think you meant this to be on the main thread and not her media thread @K9Enzo

Maybe she was in DV meetings in Indiana, before the Colorado move. That would certainly explain any hesitation she may have had about the move. It would also explain why BM would feel a need to move and isolate her.

I still can’t get on board with any bike ride, maybe a hike/walk. If they went out on bikes, he’d have two bikes to contend with, getting both his and hers back to the spot where he staged it and all in broad daylight. Too complicated.
