I’m not a fan of a scenario like this.
If you hire someone to kill your wife, then you make sure you have an alibi, as that’s the whole point. It negates the need to stage a bicycle, or move the timeline via deception.
Apparently Suzanne stopped communicating at 8am on Saturday morning. That tells me that she was either murdered Friday night (and Barry pretended to be her), or just before Barry left for the Salida job site (I believe Lauren said he arrived at 9).
The window that Barry is suspected of hiding Suzanne’s body, is allegedly 3.5 hours. That tells me there is unexplained activity on his part, or he suspiciously dropped off the grid for a period of time. So it looks like he’s connected to the dumping of the body.
This whole thing looks to me like the act of one man, who not only doesn’t know anything about how crimes are committed, but was likely in a panic as well.
I think he got one thing right, and that’s why we haven’t seen charges thus far. He was able to effectively conceal Suzanne’s body.
If he did have any help, I think it was after the fact. I don’t think it was necessary though.
I think this drug stuff is a red herring. I think he’s the killer.
