I’ve been thinking of creating a separate thread for our sleuthers pictures and comments - kind of like what I do for media threads - of course I and others would copy their posts to this thread so we don’t make more work for our boots on the ground - thoughts? Since I’ve successfully killed my Covid garden plants I have some time ...

bbm, thank you @Moonchime, I hadn't seen those words before!

Can you, or any other WSers tell me if AM has mentioned having BM's permission to bury his beloved sister in Indy? I hope so!
He hasn't said so but I doubt BM would agree to that if it's ultimately up to him. It may depend on whether or not SM had a will. Maybe there is a family plot in Indiana and she wanted to be buried there. AM seems sure that he will be able to bring her home if they find her.

Towards Monarch Pass...

Beautiful and yet such a hugely vast area and to know SM is out there somewhere is heartbreaking.

Time for PB Barry to man up and tell where SM Is!

I think you meant “trips” but the “strips” typo made me LOL because I could picture that too! :D
Please, not while I’m eating...

I have not been able to follow along today... Anything in particular you guys want me to check out?
Love for you to mingle with the locals and get the town's info on the domestic violence group she attended. Be safe!

I feel AM's anguish and yearning every time I read about his need/determination to find his sister and bring her home.

Can't help but wonder if by "home" he's picturing Indy?

Yes. Indiana.

Sure is beautiful country out there.
Such a shame this tragedy is what everyone's there for, but at least you're all being blessed with amazing weather for now.
Let's hope that holds and this search is a success, in some way.
It is such a pleasure to have a moderator on board posting with us.
Makes a huge difference, IMO.

Sorry long work week and just starting to catch up. Who attended a domestic violence group? Thank you so much!

A scenario where SM’s remains are recovered but an arrest not made immediately- I could see a ugly situation play out between AM & BM over funeral & burial plans. I’m assuming the husband decides if there is no written will with clear wishes but that’s a total guess on my part. IMO

NO, not peanut butter!
It starts with an $(S) and means cr@p! Whoops no, c@rp, yes that’s it! C@rp!! Isn’t that what we feed mushrooms?? :p:D
Grilled c@rp with peanut butter topping. :D

Sorry, just dbm'ed my post # 1148.

I was trying to respond to a post about sharing information her DV group might have referred to.

Anyway, here was my reply...

Me too, but there is an intimate privacy of information shared in those groups. I don't think their abusers are probably aware their spouse or significant other is attending. If the abuser knew, it may not end well for the victim.

IMO, we need to completely leave these groups alone. Please don't sleuth them, their meeting times and places or their members.

I'm pretty confident that neither man could be capable of fighting the other to the length that LE is capable of not releasing the remains. IMO

How disingenuous would it be for Barry to claim to want to choose a proper burial place for Suzanne?!

App behaving differently today. Orange dashed line instead of green circles.
Are the green tracking steps gone from the ArcGis App or am I doing something wrong?

@NoSI
I’ve read that Vino Salida in Poncha Springs is a very popular hangout for locals with many willing to chat about the local happenings. ;)

bbm Thank you @MsBetsy and @OntarioMom for giving me hope here that SM herself has determined that she will return to her beloved home grounds!

For some reason I have in mind that AM is an attorney and if so, then I think you're right that he would know his rights.

You've managed to take away most of my fear that DH (not!) would be in charge of deciding where his wife would RIP.
My guess would be he would have had SM cremated...it's cheaper you know and would save him from having to gather w/family and friends for the burial. MOO

I suspect if she already had a pre-planned funeral, or burial plot paid for - or even her will stating such, BM has nothing to say about it.
I don't know that for a fact, so that's jmo of course.

I think this could certainly be a possibility.
Whatever problems there were with BM did not happen overnight. I think when she was diagnosed with cancer for the second time she made sure ,in her will ,what her wishes were.
I would be very surprised if her wishes did not include being buried in the family plot in Indiana.

Sorry long work week and just starting to catch up. Who attended a domestic violence group? Thank you so much!
Recapping Andy's interview this morning with Fox31, the reporter's asked some great questions!
  • LE is cooperating with the search and supporting. Andy says they have run out of time, money & resources to do ground searches.
  • I think that she was abducted. I don’t think she ever got on her bike. I think she probably died Saturday and she was hidden somewhere Saturday night and we’re pushing forward and that’s the theories that we have right now that seem to be correct.
  • I think she was killed and hidden somewhere in the mountains.
  • Andy has not spoke to Barry, he was invited to the search by PE but did not respond. We ran into him yesterday, he was out hanging trail cams with a shotgun on his shoulder. He told us hey you're about to step on private property, so we turned around and went back.
  • We did uncover some things on that mountaintop close to the home yesterday that are being processed by CBI & CCSO and we hope we find more today.
  • I'm afraid this is domestic abuse to be honest with you. There's a strong possibility BM killed her.
  • I've found out some things since I've been out here, about Suzanne working with domestic abuse meetings and things out here that kind of make me suspicious, that's the main thing I've got figured out so far.
  • LE is extremely tight-lipped about the investigation, they don't want to muddy up a possible jury, second they want to protect the integrity of the information they have so far.
  • Mentions he has not spoke with either of the girls.
  • GIS is doing a good job, really happy with it. We are going to search Dead Horse Gulch, near the Morphew property to recheck Foose Lake and all the lakes up on Monarch Mountain, we've got some old mines we need to look at and that's pretty much the search for today.
  • (What would Andy say to Barry) I don't think you can live with such a thing, The smart thing to do would be to go to the police and tell them anything you know. That's all I know to say.
  • (What does Andy think about the hotel & employees) Yeah that was interesting and some of that is still coming out, the chlorine smell in the hotel is not right. Some of the timing factors of that evening and morning are not correct and that's suspicious to me.
  • Whether we find Suzanne or not, I can assure you LE has a ton of information this far and I think they are trying to fill their envelope before they seal it.
‘I’m afraid this is domestic abuse’; Suzanne Morhpew’s brother says husband not participating in search, carrying shotgun to keep people off property

If you're confused by my recap, listen to interview at link :)
