Are these pictures of BM and his bobcat on a trailer cryptic clues about what might have happened when hiding Suzanne?
seems like barry doesn't want that bobcat out of his possession.
Hinky metre alert for sure.

I have not been able to follow along today... Anything in particular you guys want me to check out?
Thank you for the pictures NoSi! Stay safe! You're very ki
He hasn't said so but I doubt BM would agree to that if it's ultimately up to him. It may depend on whether or not SM had a will. Maybe there is a family plot in Indiana and she wanted to be buried there. AM seems sure that he will be able to bring her home if they find her.
What if they find Suzanne and arrest BM the same day she's found and he goes to jail with no bond? Could AM then bring Suzanne home to IN to be buried there? I would think that could be done if she didn't specify where she wanted to be buried when she passed away. Gosh, that was awful to type. She should still be alive. So sad for her family and friends who loved her.

You have joined at an interesting time: the great search.
Hope to hear more from you, as perhaps with your knowledge, you live nearby.o_O

I agree it’s a little tinfoil hat-y, but it’s plausible. Didn’t MG move out of state? Seeing the chaos surrounding the disappearance of her boss’ wife would be traumatic, but traumatic enough to go that far? unless she knows more than she’s saying.
MOO
I think she is truly afraid of BM. MOO.

Ita.
Ugh.
Makes me ill to think of it.
Someone pretending to care, just so that they can continue to control the narrative.
Imo.

We had a case here: the husband helped carry the coffin, lied for years, cared for the wife that went for a walk.....
At trial, he admitted to manslaughter, as CCTV had loads, driving to the 'hiding place'!!!
Yep, he really cared.

I’ve been thinking of creating a separate thread for our sleuthers pictures and comments - kind of like what I do for media threads - of course I and others would copy their posts to this thread so we don’t make more work for our boots on the ground - thoughts? Since I’ve successfully killed my Covid garden plants I have some time ...
Yes, that would be great! Sorry your covid plants died. It's 2020 so that's probably why they died. ;)

With the new information that AM thinks there was an abduction, plus what has been said about the locals being afraid, secrets in the mountains, etc, my theory has shifted a bit.

I used to assume that this was a typical husband decides to kill the wife story. But now...

* There may be some drug activity going on in town, which explains the fearful locals. Open secret? Intimidation?
* Probably meth, due to BM’s many accusations that everyone around him is a meth head. Cookers in the mountains or trade hubs or whatever. “secrets in the mountains”
* it seems like a lot to get into in 2 years, but maybe BM became involved in this crowd through the people he hired for his business. Or moved to CO after learning of the “opportunity” in IN. Or from the nephew.
* SM starts figuring it out and confronts him on Friday. BM panics decides she has to go.
* He hires one of his drug associates to do it, likely Sat morning. That is why he needed to be with MG that morning and why he cut the day short. Too much adrenaline.
* This associate takes her from the house (abducts) and kills her. Maybe it was even someone she knew though BM (maybe someone “known to her” did it). She is stored somewhere off property (a cooler?) until it is safe for nightfall.
* my assumption is that everything is a little sloppy because he was planning to get rid of her for a while, or had talked with this person about doing it, but something kicked the plan into gear sooner than he thought.
* Rest of Saturday is being seen in town and scrambling to set up Sunday. Things start going off the rails.
* he buries some evidence at the Salida site. Then he goes and buries her in the early morning. Possibly with the other person. (two people DID see her say day, but she was already dead)
* he needed the three contractors out of town Sunday in case they saw weird things missing at the office or if LE came by asking questions.
* plotting it is one thing, but Actually doing it is another. (per MG, he looked like he had had the worst night of his life)
* once he’s “safe” with his alibi, he starts the process of talking to the girls and the neighbor
* also explains LE’s handling of the case. Maybe they are trying to catch the Bigger Fish.

or maybe I’ve just watched too much Breaking Bad

MOO IMO etc
I’m not a fan of a scenario like this.

If you hire someone to kill your wife, then you make sure you have an alibi, as that’s the whole point. It negates the need to stage a bicycle, or move the timeline via deception.

Apparently Suzanne stopped communicating at 8am on Saturday morning. That tells me that she was either murdered Friday night (and Barry pretended to be her), or just before Barry left for the Salida job site (I believe Lauren said he arrived at 9).

The window that Barry is suspected of hiding Suzanne’s body, is allegedly 3.5 hours. That tells me there is unexplained activity on his part, or he suspiciously dropped off the grid for a period of time. So it looks like he’s connected to the dumping of the body.

This whole thing looks to me like the act of one man, who not only doesn’t know anything about how crimes are committed, but was likely in a panic as well.

I think he got one thing right, and that’s why we haven’t seen charges thus far. He was able to effectively conceal Suzanne’s body.

If he did have any help, I think it was after the fact. I don’t think it was necessary though.

I think this drug stuff is a red herring. I think he’s the killer.

If Suzanne is found, I imagine Barry won’t have much to say about anything anymore, not his attire, his cell mate or even the colour of his toothbrush. I like that! His life will no longer be his own. He’s been making far too many decisions in my opinion.
bbm
All of this sounds fine to me !
And a (forcible if it comes to that) difference of attire may be a change for the better, in this case. ;)

Larger photo of the truck & trailer -

What color are CO plates?
Is someone in the driver seat? There is a larger shadow there, just wondering.
Also, why the photo and who's taking it? Someone in the car ahead?

  • #138
More importantly, why is he towing the bobcat behind his truck????
Exactly! I can’t imagine anyone hiring him right now. MOO

I've not been very good about keeping up on this thread.
Can you please direct me to the information about MG moving out of state? That is big, and telling.

Another member mentioned it, and it is mentioned in this article. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8747723/Police-took-security-footage-businesses-near-hotel-Suzanne-Morphews-husband-stayed.html

o
ther articles from Daily Mail have been linked in this case, so I thought they were approved. If not I will look for another source and correct as needed!

I wish we had context. I zoomed in and I don’t see anyone in the vehicle, I think that’s the seat back (larger than the rest).

Barry probably had the original replaced and installed one that looks like a throne.

He’s humble like that.
