Hundreds of people gather to remember Suzanne. Andy Moorman spoke about what this community means to him and how much love he can feel from everyone here.

Also, he told everyone that “a killer walks their streets. Their children aren’t safe.” @FOX21News

Ha! Holy crap.

I love the progression here, and how he’s slowly turned up the heat.

The next level will be “I believe Barry killed my sister.”

It was sad... not sure if i am just tired and emotional tonight, but felt profoundly sad when I left vigil and still do. 2 prayers and inbetween the two Andy spoke. I didn't see BM or daughters, but i could have missed. I do feel she was isolated here... No best friend or friend went to speak on stage. No daughter... nothing... i am sad guys...

it really is so sad.
This very point bolded, high lights how tricky domestic violence is.
Likely it gradually intensified over time.
From the get-go looking at Suzanne's FACEBOOK perfection when we all know she has battled cancer, lost her mum, huge move to another state that is vast and lonely, no matter how hard she tried most of us strangers can see in the pics Barry's controlling obnoxious nature.
Not all women who are suffering domestic violence are shrinking violets or submissive in any way...quite often the opposite.
IMO Suzanne has spent her adult life managing the domestic abuse. But we are busy raising children, having a career, finding financial security I will take a guess, daughters reaching adulthood and finding their pathways combined with cancer round 2 was the awakening of her needing more from life than spending it ALONE with an angry selfish middle aged man dropping his bundle constantly for her to fix with no family or friends around, his behaviour likely became far more polarizing and noticable to her.
That's just a picture I see.

Yes. And Suzanne was not found, so the brother thought it would be good to search again, especially as much more information has come in since the first search. The official search for Suzanne did not include the spouse of the missing person. The spouse says he conducted his own search, but there is no record of it and no publicity.

This time, there is a family-sponsored search with publicity and some tech back-up, as we all hoped would be the case - but the spouse of the missing person did not use the funds they raised for the search to do anything like this.

The spouse has therefore not searched alongside volunteers or LE. He does his own thing.

So it is not true that all "those searches" conducted early on included the spouse - he was barred from the LE search, along with his fellow firefighters. Suzanne's brother did come to search earlier, but did not stay with the spouse and it's not clear they searched together.

It's not clear that the spouse searched at all.

It seemed clear to the brother of the missing person as he described various searches the family conducted that involved the spouse of the missing person. I do not understand the need to claim the spouse of the missing has not done anything to look for the missing person, when there is some evidence to the contrary...IMO

Whether he has done enough or the right things is certainly up for discussion...IMO.

The lack of involvement of the children of the missing person in these searches and the vigil tonight is telling regarding certain family dynamics. Much like a two day delay in answering a happy birthday text...IMO

It's just AM. His family is home running the family's business. One sibling is taking care of his dad. The other is caring for a different family member with cancer. BUT he is in close contact with them and the Alexandria group includes several very close friends.

thank you. i'm sure they also have to think about covid19, and how that could effect any ill family members they might be helping to take care of. i totally understand why some family members would stay behind to care for others, and would not want to add that risk into the mix. bless your family. <3

Did he really tell everyone their children aren't safe? Why would he say that? Didn't he say earlier the locals are already nervous?

Every time I read her name, I think of this song. I just have to post it tonight. Apologies for being off topic!

But I never heard Andy describe any such searches by BM or family. Andy went straight to the area on the day after Mother's Day, iirc, and searched with others, not with Barry. After he returned to Indiana Barry told him he was cleared by the police, and that he had taken polygraphs, iirc, 2. So after awhile Andy learned that Barry had lied about the polygraphs, and the truth began to dawn on him, that Barry had no intention of searching. All my opinion, but I've followed this pretty closely.

Lauren: “The vigil is September 25, for your wife. Will you be there?”

Barry: “Absolutely.”

Must have been there in spirit or something.

Tonight’s vigil was a mere snap shot of Suzanne’s well-lived life. Remember, they moved to Salida for “retirement.”

The larger portrait of her life would include all of those friends, family members, co-workers, church friends, neighbors, back in Indiana. 48 years of a life well-lived.

Given the ages of her girls now, one in college, and the other old enough to drive herself around, Suzanne was not meeting other moms/families with the frequency and familiarity as she had in years past. She was isolated. She was also busy fighting cancer, and managing Barry’s mid-life crisis and His whims. Those few people that did meet her in Salida, a hairdresser, gym friend, restaurant owner, etc, all had kind things to say about Suzanne.

Those who are the very closest to Suzanne will likely be there, near Salida, to serve as witnesses one day, not to her vigil, but at her trial. Her troop, along with Andy, will show up at the halls of justice.
ITA Great post! I believe the move to CO was horrible for Suzanne. Everyone she came into contact with, adored her. She could have had numerous friends there. However, it’s impossible to form close friendships when your husband won’t allow it. When your kids are older it’s much harder to meet other women friends. It’s nearly impossible if you can’t go have a ladies night out, shopping day, lunch dates, etc. I also don’t see him allowing her to have a fun little part-time job somewhere in town where she would have met other ladies. I believe he wanted her at home and that’s it. Of course this is all MOO.

Being “military friendly,” should not mean that you excuse or look past unscrupulous behavior.

Telling a witness that she does not have to cooperate, is just that.
Yeah just ask the family of Vanessa Guillen.

From Discovery I.D.,
Joe Exotic and his sworn enemy, Carole Baskin, became household names when a quarantined nation turned its attention to the wildly popular series Tiger King. Now Investigation Discovery introduces the definitive sequel, Joe Exotic: Tigers, Lies and Cover-Up, which reveals what happened after Tiger King filming took place with exclusive jailhouse interviews from the biggest character in the world: Joe Exotic himself.

Retired homicide investigator Jim Rathmann leads the investigation to discover the truth, including what really happened to Carole Baskin’s husband, Don Lewis. Throughout the three-part special are interviews with those in Joe Exotic’s inner circle, including his husband Dillon Passage and members of “Team Tiger,” a group working to free Joe from jail. The special also explores the criminal case against Joe Exotic and raises the question: Was Joe the predator all along, or is he actually the prey?

Lots of people are gathering tonight in Salida for a vigil for Suzanne Morphew. She’s been missing for more than 4 months now with little information shared about her disappearance or the investigation. Tonight the focus is simply on remembering Suzanne #9News

Honestly, I can’t believe you’re trying to make a two day lapse in responding to a birthday text into something it isn’t, at all.

I’m blessed with three brothers, two that live out of province. I can’t tell you how many times I come home late on my birthday to voicemails from them, too late to respond. If I’m busy the next day, well, I get back to them the next. It does not at ALL reflect the loving supportive relationship I have with them. My life is very busy and they know why and understand. Please don’t demean Suzanne’s relationship with Andy over something so trivial. Just look at what Andy has done for his sister. This should show you what kind of relationship they had. Then take a good look at BM and what he hasn’t done for his WIFE and that should tell you the kind of man he IS. MOO
