@ivegotthemic What are your thoughts on special prosecutors being brought in? Would it be prohibitive financially, and is it usually not a thing? Thanks.

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck. MOO.
Oh Barry.

Yes agreed. And sometimes your posts catch me off guard w the same name. lol

It's painfully obvious something might be 'off' in the behaviors of the husband of the missing SM. Four months out, could those behaviors be explained as a result of stresses of the situation and of the dulling of time? Life must go on? Maybe a practical personality; he simply accepts that what he cannot change? Placing his trust in his deity of choice? Someone will be "saved"?

But reasonable people might expect a someone would go through hell and high water to attempt to locate or determine what happened to the "love of [their] life." We would expect the someone's life 'just wouldn't be the same'. Pleas and searches. Tributes and vigils. Frequent phone calls or text inquiries to LE.

And what of SM's daughters? Absolutely no public comment. More than likely as per request or instruction from LE or lawyer, or both. No surprise. It must be rough on them, of course. Wondering what they think happened to their mother? What questions might have they asked their father? Experiencing guilt for not having been home? We hope they remember: no one is responsible for a person's actions except that person.

Surveillance cameras. Hotel rooms. Store fronts. GPS. Mobile phones. Interactions. Heavy equipment. Retaining walls. Landscapes. Steep hillsides. Flowing waters. Bicycle helmets. Bleach smells. Wet towels. Abrupt behaviors.

And... minimal devotion of public time to a "love of [their] life": a 25-second video.

Hello everyone, I hope you don't mind that I get back to the subject. Missing Suzanne Morphew.

Does anyone know when and by whom someone last spoke to SM? I don't mean text I mean verbally spoke to her?

Does anyone know when SM was last physically seen in person other than family members.

I sort of sit on the fence with this case. I get lots of splinters. I have so many questions.

Ultimately Do I think BM trogged up various hills down ravines and buried his wife over night, used Bobcats. NO I Don't. Now ask me if I think no names mentioned took SM else where. YES I do.

I quite simply think No Name Mentioned (Abductor) took SM out of area semi alive, killed and disposed of her en route between route A and B. I don't think they will find the remains of SM in the Mayesville/Salida area. They may well find other interesting things pertaining to different cases.

I suppose I would like to know if there were any fires that were responded to by no name mentioned , Fire fighting, construction person after the last time SM was spoken to or seen.

I cling on to the glimmer of hope SM did a runner and is alive and well. However I don't think she would put her Children through such turmoil nor fail to reach out in someway to her father. Then again no one knows anyone's family dynamics.

The Morphews and Moormans obliviously have some sort of past or recent history, Otherwise they would be working together to find a Wife, a Mother, a Daughter and Aunt.

My thoughts are with both families and that they find a way to work together to find Suzanne Morphew. Wife, Mum, Daughter, Aunt and Friend.

With Kindest Regards
Mingy Moo

The last person I recall confirmed as seeing Suzanne was the lady cleaning out the B&Bs on Wednesday. She apparenty met BM and SM on a road by a community dumpster. Wed 5/7.

Most likely he did. If LE is watching him closely, then I'd think the condo and new truck are bugged as well. JMO

Doesn't LE need probable cause warrant to tail and/or bug (audio/gps)? Anyone know?

Oh, it’s definitely a duck!! ;):p

Sounds like a good book title: "A duck named Barry."

(I know people are probably going to assume I made a typo there. But no. I did in fact mean to say, "duck.")

JMO.

IANAL, but I think bug/GPS yes. Tailing, not sure. I think anything you do in public is fair game.

I second this, its clear from previous interviews BM does not do well when thinking on his feet and LE would be asking him for specific answers and proof he would be unable to produce for whatever possible story he came up with. The pressure from the media hes receiving has clearly already started effecting him (ie hes out setting up trail cams with a gun during the search). The pressure will be 1000x more intense when BM is stuck in an interrogation room with 1-2 people starring directly at him, demanding answers for his illogical behavior

I don’t think so. Part of my interest in these cases is observing how people with mountains of evidence against them can still maintain their innocence. I have concluded that they have nothing to lose in doing so, and everything to gain (freedom). I also believe they are protective of their self -image and don’t want people close to them (Daughters, mom, everyone they lie to who support them), to think anything bad about him. So, he will lie even after his appeals are exhausted. I do fantasize about him having a shred of decency and compassion that would fuel him to one day anonymously provide the location of her remains. Emphasis on fantasize.

Too expensive.
Doubt they are.

BM moved in to a condo.
BM got rid of his old truck, bought new.

Did he think his house and old truck were bugged?

MOO

Also, if you can see it from public property you can photograph and film or video-record it.

If it looks like a mountain lion, swims like a swimming pool full of chlorine, and rides like a bike, then its probably Barry. MOO.

Its hard to work together when it appears that a family member may have committed a crime. One side may be loathe to support their family member, but not come on out and stand beside them either. Another family may not want to do anything against a member of another family until all facts come out. And then there are people like Andy, trying to do something, and trying pretty hard to not call out someone who he thinks may have harmed his sister. And that person refers to his search as a publicity stunt. Let that sit there for a minute. A publicity stunt to ask people to come together and try to find his missing, presumed dead sister.

I'd be hard pressed to choose which of BM's statements/actions are the most loathesome :
  • The 26 second video "plea", starting with "Oh, Suzanne..." As if all of this was her fault.
  • Not mentioning Suzanne her by name since.
  • The non-actions, not even canvassing the neighborhood or putting up flyers. (Ok, I'll concede that maybe BM did talk to people and put up flyers, albeit under cover of darkness and completely incognito ;) , hence no sightings of him about town doing this.)
  • The odd items on his hastily-written list to search for Suzanne, with no mention of her appearance/photo or even giving out his name (he wanted to be referred to as "the husband", per TN).
  • Confronting the searchers with a shotgun and trail cams to spy on them.
  • The blocking of public access roads.
  • Possibly threatening or having others threaten those covering Suzanne's case .
  • Feel free to add to this list, it's ginormous.

But the bolded is front runner up !
How disgusting.
Imo.

Ah yes, I think you summed up my feelings bout this case. I really did think BM would do the right thing. He just has gotten more and more panicky in my opinion. I was even thinking maybe he was guilty of something else which was making him act stoopid and guilty in the beginning. He doesn't seem very bright to me in the area of common sense.
Thinking he would man up is clearly a dream. smdh

Absolutely. You need a warrant for anything like that.

I believe his vehicle likely has a gps monitor on it (which Barry is certainly aware of), and his phone is being monitored.

I do not believe his residence has been bugged though, as anecdotally at least, that seems to be rare these days.

Besides that, I don’t think Barry is likely to talk about what happened to anyone who is staying there.

Did reporter Lauren Scarf get confirmation that “Scott, the bicycle repairman” saw her Thursday, 5/8? Iirc LS received an email confirmation from Scott, but he turned down being interviewed face to face.

A guy moves into town , joins the volunteer firefighters group throws money around, has big truck and equipment it draws other guys easily IMO.
Does anyone know if the embedded searchers were from Barry’s camp? If so , are any of them the guy referred to by AM as having separated from the group for a while during an earlier search in May? I think the implication was that the guy took off to secretly plant evidence in an area they had already searched and that evidence was later found by LE. Forgive me if this is incorrect; all information I have is from this site.
