Did reporter Lauren Scarf get confirmation that “Scott, the bicycle repairman” saw her Thursday, 5/8? Iirc LS received an email confirmation from Scott, but he turned down being interviewed face to face.
...remains as a concern, IMO.

It's painfully obvious something might be 'off' in the behaviors of the husband of the missing SM. Four months out, could those behaviors be explained as a result of stresses of the situation and of the dulling of time? Life must go on? Maybe a practical personality; he simply accepts that what he cannot change? Placing his trust in his deity of choice? Someone will be "saved"?

But reasonable people might expect a someone would go through hell and high water to attempt to locate or determine what happened to the "love of [their] life." We would expect the someone's life 'just wouldn't be the same'. Pleas and searches. Tributes and vigils. Frequent phone calls or text inquiries to LE.

And what of SM's daughters? Absolutely no public comment. More than likely as per request or instruction from LE or lawyer, or both. No surprise. It must be rough on them, of course. Wondering what they think happened to their mother? What questions might have they asked their father? Experiencing guilt for not having been home? We hope they remember: no one is responsible for a person's actions except that person.

Surveillance cameras. Hotel rooms. Store fronts. GPS. Mobile phones. Interactions. Heavy equipment. Retaining walls. Landscapes. Steep hillsides. Flowing waters. Bicycle helmets. Bleach smells. Wet towels. Abrupt behaviors.

And... minimal devotion of public time to a "love of [their] life": a 25-second video.

I think “reasonable” people will see BM for what he is, a miserable excuse for a husband of a missing wife and mother. “Failure to launch” doesn’t even touch the non-effort this man has put forward on behalf of a woman he calls “the love of my life.” That’s likely because he’s guilty of making her disappear. He has no desire to find her or continue to advocate for her. She’s gone and he needs to move on! She’s in heaven and I got saved in the process. Sick man. I suspect he can’t wait for this search to be over and hells bells let’s get back to business. Right from the beginning he had his agenda in place. Guardianship, new truck, new property, a well, a driveway, push up contest and hunting!

Thank goodness she has a brother that loved her and is determined to find her and see justice. And, regardless of whether or not this search effort is successful in finding SM, we the people will never forget what AM accomplished with the help of beautiful people. By the same token, we will never forget the pathetic video BM put on FB and all that he did NOT do! JMHO

Excellent, Chris w/Profiling Evil just tweeted a new photo of the “beach area” BM and MG worked on being revisited by Andy’s army of searchers.
AWESOME!
Those poor homeowners are clearly being good sports about this. Good on them.

The last person I recall confirmed as seeing Suzanne was the lady cleaning out the B&Bs on Wednesday. She apparenty met BM and SM on a road by a community dumpster. Wed 5/7.
I thought that the last person to see her was the bike repairman on Thursday.

Sounds like a good book title: "A duck named Barry."

(I know people are probably going to assume I made a typo there. But no. I did in fact mean to say, "duck.")

JMO.
Ah, you’re killing me! :p I’m surprised auto-correct didn’t kick in. :D

Ah yes, I think you summed up my feelings bout this case. I really did think BM would do the right thing. He just has gotten more and more panicky in my opinion. I was even thinking maybe he was guilty of something else which was making him act stoopid and guilty in the beginning. He doesn't seem very bright to me in the area of common sense.
Thinking he would man up is clearly a dream. smdh
IN actual fact he appears more than bright to me. As a onlooker to Tysons clandestine video , Old BM he who shall not be named appeared very switched on. Come on folks we may expect it at work but who an earth recognises they could be recorded during an ad hoc conversation with a guy in the middle of no where the road Mr BM sure as hell did almost straight away. Not forgetting his parting shot about press .

I have a question. If they used Barry’s truck GPS, why on Earth didn’t he think to disable it before he [ALLEGEDLY] killed Suzanne? If he’s had this even vaguely premeditated, it seems thinking of gps on any vehicle, phone, etc would be one of the main things you’d take care of. Do I know anything about his coordinates on any GPS, no. But, I work in politics so work is crazy and I know I miss information. Thanks! ALL JMO

BM moved in to a condo.
BM got rid of his old truck, bought new.

Did he think his house and old truck were bugged?

MOO

Possibly. But more likely IMO he thought his old house and his old truck were things a married man would have. Bring on the single life.

I'm so far behind since yesterday. I'm going back to start reading. But before I do, pretty please tell me anything new since yesterday.

Ita.
I'd be hard pressed to choose which of BM's statements/actions are the most loathesome :
  • The 26 second video "plea", starting with "Oh, Suzanne..." As if all of this was her fault.
  • Not mentioning Suzanne her by name since.
  • The non-actions, not even canvassing the neighborhood or putting up flyers. (Ok, I'll concede that maybe BM did talk to people and put up flyers, albeit under cover of darkness and completely incognito ;) , hence no sightings of him about town doing this.)
  • The odd items on his hastily-written list to search for Suzanne, with no mention of her appearance/photo or even giving out his name (he wanted to be referred to as "the husband", per TN).
  • Confronting the searchers with a shotgun and trail cams to spy on them.
  • The blocking of public access roads.
  • Possibly threatening or having others threaten those covering Suzanne's case .
  • Feel free to add to this list, it's ginormous.

But the bolded is front runner up !
How disgusting.
Imo.
I’ll add, calling AM’s loving and valiant effort to find his sister a “publicity stunt.”

I think BM will continue to plead innocence. When (hopefully) convicted, I could see his daughters appealing to him to tell them what happened so they can find her and have some sort of closure. At that point I could perhaps see him admitting it but claiming it was an accident or somehow Suzanne’s fault and that he disposed of her in a panic. I’m probably 100% wrong because this is just a feeling I have, no evidence for it.

I’m not sure it’s something you can just turn on and off.

How can anyone that still has doubt about BM's guilt justify him calling this massive search for his missing wife "a publicity stunt"?

This is not poor, inarticulate BM not being able to use his words. He had plenty of advance notice that it was taking place and more than enough time to think of what he wanted to say about it and he came up with "publicity stunt."

MOO

OH, man, this is where they REALLY need the dogs. Why aren't they there??
I totally agree. BM is a landscaper. If she's there, she's buried under those huge rocks. IMO
If I had the money, I'd want to tear that wall down and pay for a "landscaper" to rebuild it after an indeep, complete search.
