If Suzanne is not found after these multiple days of a very thorough search, to me, that should put an end to all the talk about bike wrecks and mountain lion attacks because she would not be where she should be if one of those things happened. Someone would have had to have deliberately taken her somewhere and hidden her body.

very good point

You make a VERY good point that I hadn't even considered. If this was an accident some definitive proof should be found, people mortally wounded during biking accidents don't hide themselves if anything they try and get closer to civilization not further away from help

elisa's case creeps me out to this day.

i believe chris said they were taking cadaver dogs down to that spot the day they announced the info about the anomalies. so i do think that's happening.

MOO dogs are at gold mine today. I don't know this, but suspect they need them there.

IMO, his truck is very expensive and very customized. I doubt there are many exactly like it in the area, or in Colorado, or in the midwest for that matter..

JMO, MOO
Nothing but the best for Barry! IMO

I am just so deeply sad for her tonight... Maybe its just being here so close to where she lived... And Andy being the only one that spoke tonight... More people surely loved/cared for her. Where were they tonight? Maybe too tired from the search?
This is sad to hear.
Thank goodness Andy has you and others there to help him search and to be at the Vigil.
Get some rest and stay Safe !!!

Searchers need a shout out.
WOW!
I am watching the tracking and they are GOOD!
They are walking every little deer trail off any possible accesses. Every side drive and etc.
Committed and really active, and really doing the job.

Can someone tell me if the district attorney was at the vigil?

No MSM that I know about on that. Other sources than WS Website, YT WS might be best bet to find out.

Idk, but the Mayor of the hometown of Susan was there and searching.

It honestly makes me so happy to hear about all the good coming from the search. The fact that over 400 strangers/experts/professionals would come together and volunteer their time, during a pandemic, to help find SM restores my faith in humanity. It also makes me proud to be a part of a community of people who care so much about justice and helping out a victims family simply because they can.

Since the ArcGIS map doesn't have a lot of detail, I am clicking on individual searchers and copying their lat. and long. coordinates and the pasting into google maps. You can see the level of their effort. Amazing.

Wonder if someone's really starting to sweat ?
Pacing ... and looking out of windows ?

It looks exactly like Barry to me, although you’re right, he does look skinner. I’m sure his weight loss is stress related.

He’s driving the same type of truck that Barry owns, and that truck appears to have firefighter plates.

That truck is hauling a bobcat.

There would also be no reason to tweet a photo of some random person, so I’m convinced it is in fact Barry.
His arms look noticeably “less built”
IMO

In case this helps.
In ARCgis you can choose different Basemaps.
Mine was initially set to Topographic but I did not find that overly helpful.
I reset Basemap to Terrain With Labels ... better for me.

Tough checking in today.
Not many updates.

The computer systems on board most modern vehicles can't be simply disabled. You can't just turn them off. It's part of the control unit of the vehicle, so that other parts of the truck wouldn't work if that unit was pulled out or turned off.

I am basing this on what apparently knowledgeable people on an F150 forum. You can turn off the user interface, but the GPS unit embedded in the truck's computer still keeps communicating with satellites.

Most people do not know this and think that by deleting the Ford app from their phone and turning it off on the screen, it doesn't work. But the computer module (which costs something like $1500 without labor to replace) has GPS on board. The truck apparently won't start without that module.

Great job hitting the auto forums - asking if the gps can be disabled -(NO) - if correct- and my gut says your right, L.E. , has a accurate "timeline"- plenty of false statements- and will be holding a press conference to announce charges very soon, probably after the search concludes.IMO

Agreed.
I see a brother in anguish.
Desperately looking for his sister's body, FGS. :(
Imo.
I see the same. His anguish is palpable. Makes me choke up when he speaks.

Absolutely. You need a warrant for anything like that.

I believe his vehicle likely has a gps monitor on it (which Barry is certainly aware of), and his phone is being monitored.

I do not believe his residence has been bugged though, as anecdotally at least, that seems to be rare these days.

Besides that, I don’t think Barry is likely to talk about what happened to anyone who is staying there.
I agree @MassGuy but want to elaborate from my experience in NY. Probable cause has a universal definition but its application to eavesdropping warrants, whether for a phone or a bug placed other than in a phone is significantly more stringent. Additionally, each warrant covers a 30 day period or less if the evidence described, in detail in the warrant application is obtained. In NY, at least, there are provisions for "Progress Reports" during the 30 day period. LE must give the issuing judge a daily synopsis of overheard conversations or transcripts of the conversations and an assessment of the investigations progress. Furthermore, LE must "minimize" conversations, a process of discerning if a conversation is evidence and if not after a period must cease listening but may resume after a time as described in many cases. My point is that while probable cause is the standard for the very intrusive practice of listening to private conversations its use is strictly circumscribed. Finally, LE can tail anyone without a warrant. But to attach a device to an automobile requires a warrant.

Much better (but I do like the Google maps details on dirt roads better, now that I am using it)
People on bicycles! How great is that. You see more than detail than from a car.

Does anyone know if the embedded searchers were from Barry’s camp? If so , are any of them the guy referred to by AM as having separated from the group for a while during an earlier search in May? I think the implication was that the guy took off to secretly plant evidence in an area they had already searched and that evidence was later found by LE. Forgive me if this is incorrect; all information I have is from this site.
The DW has direct knowledge of two of BMs friends from Indiana who are in Salida this week. She doesn't know where they are staying or if they have been involved in the searches. At least one of the two was in Salida shortly after SM was reported missing, but no idea if that person is the individual you are referencing. Both did attend the vigil last evening. MOO.
