Working a search AND doing communications is a huge load. MOO they decided on one vetted message at the end of the day.

The seachers have crossed 50 to the NE and are minutely going over trails and pullouts, accesses.
There a couple on CR 237 which is old Monarch Pass Rd. A loop that leads down from Hwy 50 at the Pass to CR 888 and then rejoins Hwy 50 just north of Sargents.
I appreciate your updates as I’m sure many others do as well. Thanks!

It looks exactly like Barry to me, although you’re right, he does look skinner. I’m sure his weight loss is stress related.

He’s driving the same type of truck that Barry owns, and that truck appears to have firefighter plates.

That truck is hauling a bobcat.

There would also be no reason to tweet a photo of some random person, so I’m convinced it is in fact Barry.

He has been seen driving down the main road of the neighborhood again today with his boblion... I missed it by a bit, but talked to people that were reportedly there when he did.

Well, the search isn't over yet. I don't believe anyone was overly optimistic about its chances of success. But ... there is still hunting season so maybe SM can be located then, as sometimes happens. My heart just breaks for her and her family. What a tragedy.

Yeah, right? And telling TD that he's been "fully cleared" by LE. Great example.
I cant comprehend why BM thought lying about this would be a good idea or how he thought he could get away with it long term. it was just adding insult to injury and I mean there's no way to walk it back with the family after lying about being cleared. I can't even imagine how SM's family must feel/how they felt when they learned the truth from LE. Thank God SM had a brother like AM, who is willing to go to the ends of the Earth to bring his sister back home.

I don't think BM would know a red herring from a blue heron. I don't think there's any sophisticated misdirection going on here - and I think SM is close to home and will eventually be found. Maybe not this week - maybe not even this year - but I do believe she'll be found. MOO.

LOL!
BTW, I believe grilling anything with peanut butter should be an indictable offence :)

Are you sure that’s BM? That person looked thinner, I thought, although maybe with all that working out BM’s trimmed off a few pounds?
Actually if a guy is regularly doing the heavy weights at the gym and suddenly stops, it doesn't take long for the 'inflated' muscles to go back to normal, especially if he was supplementing with muscle enhancing goodies.

He may also be getting 'liquid calories' instead of food. It happens to worriers.

Agree. Without AMs advocacy and the PE guys hearing his sorrow, she disappears twice, once from life and then from memory.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

BM has/had access and knowledge of an untold number of construction sites, all in various stages of development and I'm sure several of them were at a stage of the process that a new area of distributed earth wouldn't have seemed odd or even worse than it could have gone unnoticed. I know there are several theories about the Springfield 3 being potentially buried under concrete in a parking structure and I thought there was also potential for that here. Im hopeful that Im wrong and BM's ego was so large that we decided to keep SM close by

bbm
Ita.
I'd be hard pressed to choose which of BM's statements/actions are the most loathesome :
  • The 26 second video "plea", starting with "Oh, Suzanne..." As if all of this was her fault.
  • Not mentioning Suzanne her by name since.
  • The non-actions, not even canvassing the neighborhood or putting up flyers. (Ok, I'll concede that maybe BM did talk to people and put up flyers, albeit under cover of darkness and completely incognito ;) , hence no sightings of him about town doing this.)
  • The odd items on his hastily-written list to search for Suzanne, with no mention of her appearance/photo or even giving out his name (he wanted to be referred to as "the husband", per TN).
  • Confronting the searchers with a shotgun and trail cams to spy on them.
  • The blocking of public access roads.
  • Possibly threatening or having others threaten those covering Suzanne's case .
  • Feel free to add to this list, it's ginormous.

But the bolded is front runner up !
How disgusting.
Imo.
I'm behind here but,he blocked a public roadway? TIA

Im sorry it's county road 240

I do not believe he just discarded Suzanne haphazardly. I honestly believe he buried her in close proximity to the house. Dug a hole with his landscaping tools then with those tools placed huge rocks on top so no animal or person happens upon it. Remember, he is a control freak and must have complete "control" over her body. I would dig up every site he had recently been to, that now has huge boulders/rocks.
All this is in MOO.
Thoughts?

I don’t know why but I’ve felt kinda bad for TN. I feel like he stepped in when he thought he was doing the right thing for his worried family when they were in shock and then he turned around and slipped out the back exit once he actually realized what was going on and just got stuck. Can’t imagine what it would be like to be a family member of a victim, but also cannot fathom what it would be like to be the family member of the suspect..
Moo
I can't imagine being in that situation either. I am certain that I would not encourage anyone from turning over potential evidence to authorities though.

If you could check out these places too that would be great

38°32'36.9"N 106°10'32.7"W
Looks interesting this road. Nothing out there.

38°29'53.6"N 106°04'41.6"W
Looks like some kind of abandoned mining area.

38°33'46.6"N 106°11'59.9"W
This whole area here going north from Maysville on County Road 240 looks interesting

38°33'24.2"N 106°11'31.2"W
This dirt road here opens up a lot of possibilities as there is nothing up there. They searched it briefly but I think they should really spend some time here.

38°50'42.2"N 106°01'02.5"W
38°50'29.8"N 106°01'51.7"W
They search the main road here but not these side roads @OldCop suggested this area

This might be a long shot:

39°01'57.0"N 105°59'14.0"W
If he hid her body on the way to Denver I think this would be an interesting spot. Nothing over there. If he brought the Bobcat perfect spot to bring the trailer. I think it was closed at the time.

This is not intended to point fingers anywhere, pure speculation. What if BM suspects AM? It’s pretty clear AM suspects BM, at this point.
Certainly explains lack of cooperation with search, protection from planted evidence, etc
Sooo, JMO, there may be mutual suspicion, doesn’t make either one the guilty person.
I still contend we may have an opportunist predator, in play, always looking, in such cases it seems those closest to victim really suffer.
JMVHO
What if he does? IMO any Andy vs Barry debate has nothing to do with finding her or finding out what happened to her.

this is one of the reasons i think she is on that property or very close by it. i don't think BM would ever risk having his vehicle caught on those cameras right out from his driveway, or anywhere else for that matter. same for GPS. he seems to have really thought this through.

also, don't y'all think he's going to put her some place he is familiar with? that's what most killers do, even if subconsciously. are there hunting trails on his property? doesn't his bud live just right through the woods? on the other hand, if he was smart (which i do believe he is, although it PAAAINS me to say that), he would go somewhere completely random. of course, they are going to search all the places he DID go, bc that's obvious, but what if he secretly went in a completely different direction somehow?

(as you can tell, i'm all over the place in my thinking of whether she's on the property or off site. but i do believe he's going to be very familiar with the area he took her to.)

<modsnip>
IMO Barry isn’t an evil genius. I think it’s dumb luck, rather than intellect, that’s at play here. I believe he left Suzanne in a place where he has a sense of control. It hit me when he was patrolling and warning the searchers away from his property. Could he have purchased a piece of land, in his own name or that of a relative or friend, for just this purpose? He could set up trail cams and sync them to a burner phone. If he downloaded the search app, he’d be alerted if anyone neared the area.

I’m all over the place with this too but I definitely feel he’d want control above all else.

I don't think BM is smart - certainly not in a high IQ/book smart sort of way. I can't name a single thing he's done since this happened where I've thought - wow, that was smart of him. Actually, I think he's very much the opposite of smart. We're giving him waaaaay too much credit simply because there hasn't been an arrest yet. Some of the things from BM that I believe were less than smart (all JMO, MOO):
The staged bike ride (really narrowed down the list of suspects, IMO)
The mountain lion narrative that he pushed (he should know better - it's a ridiculous theory)
The strange social media activity (especially if he logged in as SM from his phone, as we suspect)
The note he left in Salida (no description of SM??)
The weak alibi in Broomfield (no tools??)
The FB video (didn't involve LE in that?)
The "mechanical thing" with the bobcat (who talks that way??)
Continuing to play the role of victim - a victim who throws everyone else under the bus
And, possibly most incriminating, the peanut butter on the grill. Building an insanity plea? (okay, just kidding on the last one)

I know I'm leaving off some big ones, but that's a good start. MOO.

I don't think BM would know a red herring from a blue heron. I don't think there's any sophisticated misdirection going on here - and I think SM is close to home and will eventually be found. Maybe not this week - maybe not even this year - but I do believe she'll be found. MOO.
