IIRC, about a week or two back, there was an announcemt that Tim M and/or TX Equusearch would participate in the search. If there was coverage of their participation, I missed it.

Did anyone see/read news about them? To our members who were there, did you see them? TiA.

Not home yet. Still have 2 hrs to go, but stopped for break. Traffic hardly moved on 285 between before Fairplay and Bailey. Anyway, i think it will likely be tomorrow before i have chance to set up the conversation. Things to share are interesting, but not earth shattering.

I hope so. Poor mountain lion. I'm pretty sure LE discounted the mountain lion theory after the first week. During the first PC they said they found no evidence of an animal attack.

At this point I have no concern nor interest in what "5" is supposed to mean. I gave up on subscribing to 'stay tuned, same time, same channel'-type grabbers after Batman and LIS went off the air.

I'm not saying that such a thing doesn't happen -- and I'm sure that a
senator that is on the budget committee in the state legislature would certainly get his/her calls returned by a judge -- but
such a scenario would be inappropriate ex parte communication.

Unless these others are directly involved in one or more aspects of this crime or are somehow involved in any other crime they're afraid would put them in prison, I don't know why they would steadfastly refuse to share what they know with authorities if they do know what happened.

Immunity deals are made all the time if such a thing needs to be done to get to the perp.

This is a level of loyalty I've never personally seen or experienced, so I can't even imagine it. IMO

That second location you mentioned may be
Lots 5B and 5C that I mentioned this morning.
It's a vacant 6.4 ac. w/ out of state owner. Looked to me like a perfect spot to search and
it's easily accessible from BM's house through the woods or by Puma Path. It also fronts on Hwy 50. And it's a high up lot-elevation wise.

3 important things - Chris:
1. At the riverfront, dog did a passive hit there. Waiting to see what LE has to say.
2. Article of evidence uncovered behind home property line. LE recovered it and that is what the CCSO press release "at this time" was about. Importance of that article based on corroborative evidence received, so passed to LE.
3. Third location at which 2 cadaver dogs made a non-passive alert not to be revealed. In LE's hands.
Also, mountain lion has been eliminated.

A solid timeline has now been established.

Yes, the dogs did miss Vanessa -- she was buried, and had concrete poured over her. Probably enough concrete to delay the smell a bit. A couple of weeks later (IIRC), some men fixing a fence in the area could smell her.

(Slightly o/t, I saw the weirdest thing I hadn’t seen before on a crime show, couldn’t tell you which one it was or what the case was, but the perp(s) buried a body deep in the backyard, and then layered dead animal remains on top, a raccoon iirc, so that if and when the dogs hits they would do a superficial dig and think it was only animal remains there (something like that anyway).

before Andy came on, Chris and Mike said the search was definitively over and that searchers should disconnect from the app.
then Andy came on and said the search was continuing til the 29th like he never heard anything else. then the others laughed and said to keep on the app in that case. not sure how the three got disconnected on that one lol
