The Moorman and Morphew family have been connected for years.
Barry reaches out and Andy softens.
He doesn't want it to be his BIL.
He's hoping beyond hope that it isn't him, despite everything that points to him being the evil doer.

If AM did mean to refer to him as a Loving Husband, my thoughts about that are perhaps it's a psychological tactic to appeal to his conscious - along the lines of "accidents happen, we don't believe that you're a monster.

Those uncovered papers.. Might Andy have received info that SM had been previously injured, perhaps learned from a therapist or a medical facility? Would those records be available for release under HIPAA to him as next of kin? Or would LE have already had access?

Hi there - sorry to ask but I’ve got some software that is used to enlarge images with little-to-no loss in resolution. I’ve actually used it on some other cases - just for experimentation myself - and used aerial images and enlarged them (sometimes 2-6x their original size) and the level of detail you could then see was so much better than you could imagine. While it may not work too well, depends on the orig file (if it’s a picture of a screen or something low res that’s not great), I’d be happy to try it and then post them here, just to share. Could you possibly PM me the image(s)?

Seriously -- it appeared to me from the conversation that the earlier guest/mountain lion expert was in Salida during the weekend and provided PE with their official opinion/announcement that MS was not a victim of wildlife attack.

I think it's worth remembering, in this age of instant access everything, that we're in the middle of an investigation. In a week, month, or year we might read about these bits and bobs in the format of an AA.... and we'll see how, what we're hearing about vaguely now came together. Patience is the hard part, and I think it was palpable tonight. They know things. But they also know they need to keep lids on them, for the sake of the criminal investigation.

We may not see definitive movement until January. New DA....

As much as we wish to know everything right now, none of us wants to know any of it if it leads to an overturned conviction or possibly no conviction at all.

This is the long game.

But people are talking. And that's a good thing.

Justice is slow but it's a'coming.

I listened to PE while in the car. Tonight was different IMO. They said the search was over, to delete the app from our phones (searchers), only to be corrected by AM that he had two more days...

They seemed to be acquiescing to BM a bit. They were overly nice about BM allowing the exterior search. Then at the end they reiterated "5" and said "we haven't left the house". I felt like I was watching a case that I knew little about... Maybe I missed something because I could not see them or read comments...

Documents? Medical records? Divorce papers? Bills? Receipts?
Damage to what truck?

I feel like one of the new WSer's that jumps in on thread 40 page 10 and writes "so what's going on in this case"...

On tonight’s PE Live I felt like Chris was saying #5 was Barry’s Behavior (#5 of the Five Forms of Evidence PE video) but still not sure how Bruce Lee fits? As in first of all they know it’s BM and secondly his behavior can actually be used as evidence in combination with the other 4 forms of evidence: (1) Physical evidence; (2) Circumstantial evidence; (3) Eyewitness accounts; (4) Confessions; and (5) Behavioral evidence. In the PE video from 6/26/20 titled How Important is Eyewitness Testimony? Breaking Down the Five Forms of Evidence, Mike King said presenting cases that are supported by multiple forms of evidence is always the preferred method. The strongest cases have two or more forms of evidence. Mike goes on to discuss each form of evidence. It’s worth watching or rewatching this video especially for the explanation at the end of the video re how behavioral evidence is broken down into categories including normal and abnormal behavior and why it can be very important.

Speculation : As I've commented before-- wouldn't it be so much easier to just leave someone/get a divorce than to do something you'll regret and have to work your ever-lovin' azz off to cover up ?
As in, a herculean effort.
Is it worth it ?
I think not.
My guess is that a possible motive is money (or the loss of it) or something more nefarious--also involving money at some level.

I agree, tonight was different.
I didn't get to listen to all of it live, but the first bit of it I did listen to felt uncomfortable and awkward.
I could swear at one point, MK called AM "Barry".
Something just feels off.

I need to listen again I think.

Nah. A bike wouldn’t cause any damage to a truck like BM has.

It would take significant weight and tow angles to cause damage to the back of BM’s (old) truck. Or running into something.

My money is on towing the bobcat/trailer into terrain that is too steep.

PE update seemed a bit off to me tonight. It was more subdued than the previous updates and maybe some shifts in thinking? Could just be me reading too much into it but would like to get other's opinions. For example, was there less enthusiasm for the beach hit with the dog, they didn't seem to really know what LE was doing with it? They appeared to back off the significance of the pink bike, "just something we heard", and they seem to be backing off BM somewhat (he was nice and allowed searchers on to the property, AM said BM was loving husband). Could the comment about checking egos at the door be a reference to keep an open mind as to BM's involvement?

What exactly is meant by tree invoices? Are these open ended invoices that get billed in smaller increments that end up looking like a tree of bills or something literally related tree work?

I don't really like their continued references to "5" either explain it or drop it and quit playing games. JMO

Agree, Mike was subdued, I’m 20 mins in, taking a break, but ITA, something has changed. I guess we will see as the search goes on (or not)...
