Few answers in latest search for Suzanne Morphew - KRDO

Sept 29, 20

<modsnipped>

“I don’t think my little sister ever got on a bicycle and that tells you everything you need to know,” Moorman said.

Contrary to speculation, none of the properties searched in the last few days belong to any members of the Morphew family.

"To clarify, none of these properties are owned by members of the Morphew family."

Another Daily Mail fail. The fact that the DM reported that Barry owned the property when he did not* just further erodes its credibility, IMHO.

* While it's possible that Barry may own one of the properties indirectly through an LLC or other entity, the Daily Mail did not indicate that this is the case.

They are commonly referred to as the Daily Fail instead of the Daily Mail here in the UK. Masters of clickbait but as mentioned by somebody else they do tend to have some of the best photo's.

Sure isn't the news we were all hoping for and i know it's easier said than done, i feel a little deflated however we can't let it get us down, We have to try and remain in good spirts, that's what i believe Suzanne would want. She's already touched people all around the world thank's to all the people who help spread awareness of this case, she will never be forgotten and the search still goes on. It's also another win for the person responsible if we let them get us down. Their time will come don't worry about that.

Dear WS's,

Here I've sat reading your threads from afar for over a year checking in every now and then - always annoyed at myself for having too many browsers up on my phone that it sometimes takes 20 minutes to find the latest thread - but after such a whirlwind of the past few days I feel I must join you - officially. With the added benefit of being able to now hopefully see the incredible @NoSI & @TKG first hand search images among other sleuthers attachments, that are not viewable unless you're a member :)

Although I've felt like a long lost family member since scrolling and rolling upon this site last May during Jennifer Dulos' case, I REALLY feel like family after this palpable, heart wrenching past week. I have officially accomplished very little since Saturday.

As cliche as this may sound; I have truly laughed with you, cried with you, drank wine with you, lit candles with you, watched lives with you, and mostly wanted to reach into the screen and hug so many of you through out my silent sleuthing. How creepy I know. In my defense I feel silence could perhaps be a prominent trait of a sleuth :)

I can't promise I won't continue to sit back on the sideline (or fence) taking in the invaluable insight that all of your intelligent minds bring to to the table, but I can say how nice it will be - when the time comes - to have like minds to theorize and discuss with. On behalf of my sanity, my dogs, and my loved ones (most of which think I've completely lost it getting so wrapped up in these cases) we (they) thank you so much for being here.

Although, tonight may not feel like the conclusion to Andy's search we were all praying for - there's no doubt in my mind that Suzanne's light carries on through this beautiful sleuthing community and so many others. And that alone brings so much comfort.

I think Tricia's analogy Monday night IIRC (hope I interpreted that acronym correctly) with a Nevada cold case in which LE was searching for the maker of a certain t-shirt for 23 years when WS was asked to look into it and a sleuther found the maker, stats and history of the t-shirt within 36 hours. THAT's the power of this highly intuitive community and why I continue to come back time and again. So thank you to all of you for creating and maintaining such a mind provoking, drama free, genuine atmosphere that draws in so many more than you can probably imagine.

With Suzanne and Andy in so many of our hearts tonight, I would like to end this rookie of a message following what I believe was @Madeleine74 eloquent words, "But people are so much more than their corporeal bodies. Her spirit soars.."

Soar on Suzanne with love and faith that justice will be brought to you ♥️

MOO (I must admit I did not understand why so many ppl were 'mooing' at each other back when I first came upon this site. Although, considering all the cats in this case I'd prefer to be mooed at than meowed)

You’re no help to Andy if you try to co-launch his search with a viewership of zero.

There’s no point having a yt channel if nobody watches your videos.

So you find ways to drum up interest and hook/bring people back for the next one.

Some people may not like the style (riddles etc) - fair enough, but I’m a bit flummoxed why others are opposed to PE seeking publicity and promoting what they are doing?

Agreed, hands down they usually have the best photos. I’ve seen them make some really bad flubs though in the past.

Additionally, while studying the “Broomfield Hotel” chapter last night, I noticed what I consider to be a sensationalistic headline:

Husband of missing Colorado mom Suzanne Morphew denies wrongdoing inside cheap hotel | Daily Mail Online

I wouldn’t consider this a “cheap hotel”, jmo, not just wrt to rates, but also, knowing the area, I would consider this to be more a corporate type traveler hotel, in the middle of the technical district with big players like Oracle and others headquartered near there...I was expecting to click on the story and see hookers and drugs the way they set that up, jmo.

what a beautiful post @JuneBugged ! welcome to the conversation! and i love your name. (my mom is june, and my father was...barry, but not THAT barry.) ;)

every time i see andy's face and hear his words, it takes me right out. it also gives me a really good idea of exactly who suzanne was. "sweet," "kind," "angelic," as we have heard in so many descriptions of her. i think we are really getting a pretty clear picture of the type of person she was every time we see andy's grief-stricken face, and hear his passionate words.

we lost this battle, but we have not lost the war. i feel hopeful this will end exactly the way we think it will, just not right now. no matter that they didn't find anything, BM's life is over as he knew it. HE chose to do it this way. HE chose to do this to his girls. and regardless if he's sitting in a jail cell or not, his life from this point forward will be isolated, lonely, and loveless, not unlike suzanne's probably was the last couple of years when he moved her to colorado. karma's a'coming, BM. and it can't come SOON enough.

I know that everyone is feeling a bit down after the big buildup over the cadaver dog hit, but this is far from over. If you subscribe to statistics (in this case the Infinite Monkey Theorem), then thousands of WS sleuths and hundreds of searchers going over the landscape and known facts over and over will eventually result in one or more of us tripping over the key to solving this case. This is not time to despair, it's time to redouble efforts to bring justice and use the (insert deity of choice here) given talent to sleuth that brought us all here in the first place. What did we miss? What piece of the puzzle is missing? Go over the timeline again. Go over the known verified facts again. Pull out the white boards, post-it-notes and string. Connect the dots. But FIRST, relax, do something fun and clear your mind for a day or two and come back at it fresh. Over 50 years of looking for lost people...trust me on this. :)

Good stuff, Trackergd. And, re: “connecting the dots”, to add the words of our Late Great @Foxfire, “Before you can connect the dots, you have to collect the dots” :) (which of course you guys sure have been doing a lot of dot collecting.) :)

(Eta: The dots I’m working on atm are wrt to this whole Broomfield hotel/job business stuff)

All good points, covid forced me to watch reruns of Murder, She Wrote, I’d bet 30%of her episodes are solved by the killer tripping and talking about evidence only they could know.
Respectfully, I take exception to house reeking of chlorine, it is possibly a misstatement of the hotel... AM first stated he heard this from LE, then corrected himself, instead, someone told him that LE told them.
I find it hard to believe that LE would be guilty of leaking, so until the person who told AM comes forward, this should not be stated as fact. If anyone sees any verification of this, thank you in advance. MOO

I think I heard way back that he heard it when whatever LE it was that came and talked to him in Indiana.

not going to lie, im very into everyone's motivational speeches, we've all been through alot of rollercoaster emotions this week, but Im glad we did it together and that I had my WS to laugh and cry with. We've all come to love SM and AM and his dedication to his sister. its been awe-inspiring to see him go to the ends of the earth for her. Let's not forget 750 total strangers from across the country including professional experts with dogs, horses, and tech, went to volunteer their time to help find SM and in the middle of a pandemic no less. It speaks to the true crimes communities' dedication to justice and the communities' incredible capacity for love, empathy, and conviction. Good, selfless people still exist in this world and this is a perfect example of that. This was not a loss, it was a win. Every step is one step closer. If BM had had it his way, the news would have stopped reporting on this case months ago, but because of AMs dedication SM is still a household name and LE has received hundreds of new tips. Im reminded of the wise and timeless words of Chumbawamba "I get knocked down, but I get up again, your never going to keep me down." Let that be our motto as we ride into this next stage of the battle.

@Trackergd are they probing in that video?

Yes, those are ground probes. I have a few of the red handled "T" type as seen in the video. The others are rods that are being driven into the ground by a slide hammer. This tells me the ground is very hard as the "T" handle type are usually more than enough to probe disturbed ground. Looks like shovel digging and tossed into the loader bucket and dumped in a pile. Curious that no one is probing the pile with a metal detector for artifacts such as rings, belt buckles, shoe eyelets or teeth with amalgam fillings. Also do not see a GPR unit anywhere nearby. I think having to pound the rods in told them right away that this was naturally packed soil, not disturbed as in a burial site. When using the "T" type probes, you get a distinctive feel and "click" when you hit bone.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. We wear purple in honor of victims and to raise awareness. I have had the privilege of leaving my traditional law practice to work instead as a legal advocate at a DV shelter for women and children.

My shifts start on Fridays and end on Sunday evenings. Women and children who stay at the shelter can come and go freely on the weekend. It is no surprise to me anymore when I smile and chat with a brave resident on a Friday night, only to see her return on a Sunday evening with several of her teeth missing. It is no surprise to see a woman who arrives that is literally in need of toothpaste, underwear, and socks because she has fled her home with nothing but her purse.

What still surprises me are the more insidious forms of domestic violence, like coercive control, or financial abuse, or psychological abuse. Like the woman I gave four extra blankets to in order to pad her mattress more at the shelter. Her partner had starved her down to 80 pounds and her back and butt bones scraped against our cheap mattresses.

All this to say, I think Barry built a little glass house around Suzanne. As long as her she lived within it, raised the girls within it, smiled and played nice within it, she was at lower risk. Some women do not even realize that they live within the glass.

Until the day they do...and that is what I believe happened here. I think Suzanne was ready to get out of the glass house, was tired of being controlled.

Sadly these situations are so often under the radar, who would’ve guessed but maybe only a best friend? Insidious, nefarious, it is not broken teeth or an Uber to the ER, but the chipping away of a woman over time.

Anyhow, we may have heavy hearts tonight but tomorrow we wake up again and pursue justice for Suzanne, let’s keep her in the spotlight especially during DV Awareness month.

Thank you for this post, and for your work. This is such an important post, I can't tell you how many women I've read about being victims of domestic violence, just in the last several weeks. And those are just the ones who made the news because they were actually murdered. There are thousands if not tens of thousands maybe even more women suffering silently. In honor of Suzanne, I will personally commit myself to creating more awareness of domestic violence in my community.

Re: the metal detector, I saw a case some years ago where a drone equipped with a metal detector was deployed to find the weapon (gun). Flew over the woods, iirc.

Eta: I’m looking at Broomfield, and this looks possibly interesting, haven’t gotten that far yet, not sure if this location has come across in your discussions, but I’m taking a look at this area right now, fwiw, due to the proximity to the hotel. Shot in the dark. There could be a lot of evidence to dispose of, possible weapon, clothing, etc.

eta: Idk, why put anything over there when there are many places which are more remote...unless there was a time restraint, need to fit in an alibi, etc.

just brainstorming out loud.

As others have said, and eloquently, even thought the search did not locate Suzanne, it was no fail. In fact, it brings a full clarity -- only someone who has hidden her this well has a reason and that points to one person alone.

I suspect we'll come to learn eventually that somewhere between about 1 and 5 am on Mother's Day that someone used a vehicle without tracking....

Still, dogs did hit upon various locations. Only that someone knows why. Chances are that that someone was at all those locations. Maybe digging deeper. Maybe doing legitimate work but with an illegitimate Bobcat, laced with the scent of death.

We can't forget that that someone was likely following along closely to the events of the past six days. With cameras, plants.... he got an education too. Bet he didn't know his Bobcat was leaving sign all over the place. He may rethink his resting place. An unnamed POI with time at his disposal may be inspired to move about the land freely, believe no one is watching and try to outthink himself.

EVERYWHERE he goes, EVERYTHING he touches, EVERY ROCK HE MOVES has the potential to be A BEACON.

This isn't over.

But it WILL be over for him. In time.

We wait.

This should be curriculum.

Like driver's ed for relationships for every high school student, male and female.

Thank you for saying it, @FairIsle.

May October's DV awareness month save lives so we don't have to read about them here.

I love that show. Only thing is they don’t usually get any resolution.
Agreed - in general, there's a big reluctance for a DA to take a purely circumstantial case on....

Well I’m sad like everyone else that Suzanne wasn’t found yesterday. But I was so glad to see LE checking out the sites and taking them seriously. I am so appreciative of the CCSD’s statement. It acknowledged in a non condescending way that people are passionate about finding Suzanne and needed to understand what the sheriff’s department has been doing. I really appreciate that. The reason people (including us) get so riled up when there’s any kind of development is because we CARE.

AM is such a good brother. We’re not going anywhere, AM! We’re right here with you, and we will keep doing what we can do to find Suzanne. And I think justice will come sooner than later.
