Really reaching here, but when i heard there was a fire in Colorado i wondered if it would interfere with any searches, i was half wondering if a fire would be started to stop any searches that might come close to locating Suzanne, so i googled Boulder where the reported fire is and it is no where near salida, however it is only 18 minutes drive from Broomfield, im not sure though if any American knows (im a Brit) if im reading google maps right, i thought it was interesting especially how close to Broomfield the fire is

Hi @MammaBearUK. Broomfield and Boulder are approximately 20 minutes apart just like you said. We have several fires burning right now in Colorado, including the biggest fire in Colorado history at over 200,000 acres. The main road to my mountain town was closed due to the Cameron Peak fire so I had to take an alternate route yesterday that routed me close to the new Boulder fire. The area that fire is located at is between Boulder and Lyons and really not private/out of the way. There are houses close by and much traffic going by on U.S. 36. The fire seemed to be moving down a mountainside last night. We have had extreme drought conditions and a new fire just started today in Lefthand Canyon, which is also between Boulder and Lyons. I don't think this is related to the case, just extreme dry condition, high wind, and dry vegetation.

Re: The dogs who passively alerted.
Is it true all did so near earth or rock moved by BM?

He didn't lie about texting at 4am at least a AFAIK. That he was up and busy, going or coming from somewhere before
5am is the questionable piece. If his truck had a another destination besides MGs in Maysville that night or early morning the internal truck data would have shown it.
MOO important is whether he is possibly involved is, was there was a car available without modern tracking ? Old Range Rover or the old Civic or whatever it was.
Another theory if he possibly is involved:
If Saturday Sandwich sighting is true then maybe they never went home.
She was abducted right then in Salida at 5pm Saturday.

You're definitely right about the outcome. I was thinking about him planning on the girls going camping during covid shutdown and coming home, but of course he most likely knew there was not going to be any danger of SM contracting Covid from her daughters because he knew she wasn't going to be seeing them.....

Today’s fire in Boulder County is quite a bit further than the town of Boulder itself. To get to the fire by road, you’d usually drive to Lyons and head into the valley that way. I’d give that at least 45min to an hour from Broomfield. It’s a stretch. It’s not impossible but it’s a stretch.

Hi @LaLou. I actually drove by last night and the fire was at least partially on the left side of U.S. 36 driving from Boulder to Lyons. I was on 66 between Longmont and Lyons and could see 2 areas of fire activity next to 36. I haven't looked up what the fire did today but that was yesterday at about 19:30.

Not good pic at all but it’s best i have. I was on 66 going from Longmont towards Lyons and you can see fire on my left. It looks like the fire was on the other side of the mtn as well.

If Kaitlyn Turner (the current district attorney) believed that there was probable cause to charge (or take to a grand jury for an indictment) somebody with harming Suzanne, I'm fairly certain that she would've done so. The earned media from such an event would truly be a gift for a politician in a tough race.

That's the key reason why I believe that CCSO does not at present have probable cause to believe that anybody committed a crime: the electoral incentive for Ms. Turner to have a defendant charged is huge, and -- yet -- nobody's been charged or indicted yet.

Now, there are a few other possibilities, IMO:

1. Sheriff Spezze doesn't want Ms. Turner to win, so he's purposely ensuring that any necessary evidence is withheld until after the election. This is not impossible, but I think that it's very unlikely. Sheriff Spezze strikes me as more of a career peace officer than a politician; he just doesn't seem like the type who would temporarily hide evidence for an electoral advantage.*

2. Ms. Turner -- for some reason -- doesn't want charges against a possible defendant yet. Again, I think this is very unlikely. If this was true, she'd be acting contrary to her political interests.

* This statement should not be confused with underestimating Sheriff Spezze: his career included a long spate in narcotics, which necessarily involves misinformation & trickery; these same skills are also useful to have in the political arena. My opinion comes from what I've read in the MSM about Sheriff Spezze, so I do not know him personally.

I’m curious, for those of you who remain confident that justice is coming...

‘what say you to this’? And what’s going to change in the coming months?

So why is Barry firefighter not helping with the fires? Was he dismissed? Not being familiar with protocol for fire fighting in CO. IMO It would be all hands on deck.

I say the case isn’t there yet, and it’s not remotely close to panic time. I figured this would take over six months from the beginning, and we aren’t even at the 6 month point yet.

That’s how no-body cases go.

Sorry @NoSI for the fires in your area. Has to be horrible air quality.
Stay safe.

Hi @Hatch. Thank you so much! This is very kind of you. Doing ok here. It got a bit scary Friday night, but the fire activity has slowed down considerably. It's cool and rainy today. I love the rain, now i know why... :) Air quality is not so great. Everybody is coughing... :(

Here is a pic for the Cameron Peak Fire Friday night... the lights are Estes Park.

MOO the big fires are on federal land and are mostly fought by federally-managed Incident Management Teams.

It's not unheard of for municipal fire fighters (MOO what BM is) to go onto those federal fires, but by no means is it the norm for municipal firefighters.

MOO BM and his station buddies are there to fight any structure or field fires in their town or other nearby non-federal lands.

RSBM: “That's the key reason why I believe that CCSO does not at present have probable cause to believe that anybody committed a crime”

LE has already stated it is a criminal investigation. Are you saying they don’t yet have enough evidence to prove, or are you suggesting there has been no crime committed at all?

I thought it looked a little bit strange/stained (?) under the hot tub. IMO, that hot tub is the biggest connection to the smell of chlorine in the house and the hotel room.
One of the early video shots of the house showed the moveable steps on the outside of the hot tub and they were askew and pulled forward over that area. It is Post 89 on Page 5 of the media thread beginning about 2:08. MOO

@NoSI that looks very close and you are right, much closer than I thought yesterday. I had friends evacuated from Hall Ranch but I didn’t know it was closer to Lefthand and visible from 36. Stay safe! I was also thankful for the rain today. Fires are not unusual - would you say that in mountain towns, most able bodied persons are volunteer firefighter trained? I wonder if BM was this committed to Vols pre Mother’s Day weekend? I’m pondering how humans channel their positive and negative energy through other outlets.

Good point. They clearly believe a crime was committed, and have enough evidence to obtain multiple search warrants.

Barry himself has said that law enforcement is trying to blame him.

They just can’t yet prove the crime was murder, and Barry is responsible.

I say that it's a bit more complicated in a small world like Chaffee County. Most of the people who are influencing the vote are...in the justice system already. People rely on the Sheriff and others to guide their vote.

Jumping the gun, resource-wise, is a very bad idea.

I for one am grateful that the case has not yet been brought before a grand jury or is that a non issue in Colorado? I don’t want any DA or anyone else bringing this case anywhere until there is sufficient evidence to bring adequate charges. One bite of the apple means being extremely careful. I am willing to wait for BM or whoever to be indicted and successfully prosecuted. There is zero rush merely impatience on our part. As much as we hate the wait the Morphew and Moorman families know much more and are increasingly affected. Time will tell but we have to be patient. We want a conviction not a mistrial or acquittal IMO

Or maybe moved by BM's infamous bobcat thingy?
