the mother named two others on the radio show . One of them she couldn't even pronounce and they were inconclusive according to her; she said they ran out of gastric fluid.

the only released report from Dr. D only mentions two drugs.

as for what those two were (that I have not yet seen in a report) maybe someone else has a better memory than me.

Dalmane and it's metabolite, if I remember correctly, plus an unnamed one mentioned by both parents.

The only 2 drugs listed in Dr. Dobersen's letter are amitriptyline and Flexeril. However, I think it's the way the last 2 sentences are worded that has everyone confused. From the letter: "Furthermore, cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), a central skeletal muscle relaxant, was found on testing of the gastric contents on June 6, 2012. The presence of another medication, not currently prescribed for Morgan Ingram and ocasionally used as a 'date-rape' drug, further increases the suspicious nature of this death."

I think people are misreading that as the date-rape drug being a third drug found in her system, but I think it's actually referring to the Flexeril.

A 3rd one that has been mentioned several times is nortriptyline, which is a metabolite of amitriptyline. It's been stated many times, but I will search for one of the posts stating it if I need to.

The original autopsy report and toxicology would go sooooooo very far in clearing up so many things. WHY are they being withheld? Seriously

Yep that's what I remember.

Which is odd........not a popular medication with new and better sleep aids.

It's so........old school.

It's mentioned in Dr. Dobersen's letter as well. I didn't mention it as a separate drug because others here have stated it was mentioned in the letter as being the level of breakdown of the amitriptyline - not as a separate drug that was taken. If that's not the case, please feel free to correct me because I originally thought it was a third drug as well.

yes two on the report but that being said the two inconclusive ones were mentioned on the radio broadcast. (these are in addition to the two in the only report that we are able to see on the blog right now... that being said, it sounded on the broadcast that the mother was reading from the report and couldn't pronounce the second one. Perhaps she will post the other reports at some point)

No correction from me. Someone (maybe a few, I don't remember clearly) had named it as a separate drug, but I've always assumed it was just metabolized Elavil. I just thought I'd throw it out there to make sure all bases were covered.

When I tried to do a search for Dalmane and pulmonary edema, Google kept trying to correct my spelling to "oedema", which makes me think it's more commonly prescribed in Great Britain, Canada or even Australia.

(I did the search because one page that listed the side-effects of amitriptyline overdose did not mentioned pulmonary edema, even for those who got a huge dose and survived, in other words, not a delayed effect. So I was trying to find out if one of the other drugs mentioned could cause it.)

I think the amount of the nortrip is what determined it to be a metabolite of ami, rather than a drug taken on its own. There's a link somewhere (so many pages now, hard to keep track) that discussed that. So I'm with you this point; it was not taken as a separate medication.

Right, was just stating what 2 were mentioned in the only official report we have so far, Dr. Dobersen's letter. I haven't listened to the whole interview yet, I have to get to that soon. :blushing:

Pulmonary edema I believe happens when anyone dies. Correct me if I'm wrong Nursebee.

I think that pulm. edema can be seen with many OD's, regardless of what drugs caused the O.D.

However, broaden your search to pulmonary edema and tricyclic overdose.....

I don't understand the manner in which this blog is being produced, so drawn-out, with promises of evidence to come. Wouldn't any real evidence be the first thing you'd post, so as to avoid all of this speculation and possibly hurtful posts? It seems like some sort of a cliffhanger-type series or something. My mind would be more open if it was presented in a more straight forward manner, laying out all of the facts and evidence first.
