This is what happens when LE doesn't investigate and a coroner threatens then changes the DC

Reports had to be taken. An autopsy report was done as well as a toxicology report. We've seen none of these. How can you insist it is a fact that LE did not investigate and the coroner made threats based solely on the word of a grieving parent? If we could see the initial reports then we would have something to work with as to whether or not it was properly investigated.

It's my Belief.........the Ingrams really want to release everything they have. They just don't know what they have, what's safe to release, or what's needed to release. For some reason, I picture them sitting there with tons and tons of stuff and not knowing how to put it all together.

In addition to that, she stated at, or near, the beginning that she was doing it this way partially because they were going through records, notes, pictures, texts, etc. for each day and then writing them up. If she were to try to just sit down and do it all in one sitting, it would probably take her almost as long but no information would have gotten out before it was done. MOO

I was curious as to the Dalmane in particular since it is such an unusual drug. If pulmonary edema is a common side effect, then a whole group of people can be ruled out as potential patients taking it.

I've seen it prescribed, but not that often at all. I was hoping maybe some info on it could give me an idea as to where it could have come from, since it is so rarely used. For instance, as someone pointed out, when it is seen in a med list, it's usually an elderly patient. Any type of "quirk" like that might tell us something.

Like Honey said (at least I think it was Honey), find out where the medication came from, and you'll find out what happened.

Was the medication stolen from somewhere? Was it prescribed to some other family member? Was it something available to an outsider? Was it something borrowed from a friend? If, for instance, Dalmane is something only seen given to elderly patients, then who has access to a nursing home or an elderly family member? If it's used to calm down panicky dogs, who has access to a vet? Same with the Flexeril; who had an injury, perhaps, being treated or access to someone with an injury. Who had been treated in the past with muscle relaxants? Did anyone in the group have chronic pain issues? Most of these questions will never get answered, but it doesn't hurt to look.

The day Morgan died, she did go to her boyfriend's grandmother's house (or somewhere where she was, not sure if it was her home). Right? I think I remember hearing that on the interview that Morgan had said they were visiting her.

It's definitely odd.

I haven't done a pre op in the last ten yrs with someone on that drug.

In fact, the only person I know on it is my ninety two yr old grandmother and my psychiatrist uncle is the one prescribing it.

Didn't TI say that Morgan had been at a friend's grandmother's house the afternoon before her death in the recorded interview? She says that when SI finally got in touch with her via text that she was at a friend's grandmother's house and didn't want to go to dinner with them. . .

(Meri beat me to it! Thanks!)

In general, the problem with stating an observation about a case that we're sleuthing is when presenting something that seems out of sync with the norm -- it can be expected that another poster will always post an example of the exception.

That being said, I found Mom's inflection in her voice when speaking about M in the interview with Tricia to change to that of a sweetsy child-like voice. I felt that Mom calling M's pajamas "jammies" in the interview was a little "off". Knowing how important it is to be cool and adult-like at the age of 20, I find a poster of Tinkerbell in M's room a little "off". Mom's continuous texting, walking to the door with pepperspray yet it's ok to let the puppy out during the middle of the night out back, M sleeping in the closet, M referencing texts from her teacher which was her dance instructor and M getting her GED (cap and gown pic of her speaking at her GED ceremony--no, that's *not* a college graduation pic) all a little "off". I'm not implying anything thing other than things seem a little "off" just enough times that it is unsettling.

My almost 16-year-old daughter is obsessed with Tinkerbell, and I don't see her growing out of it. She feels Tinkerbell represents her personality (free spirit). She has a 50-year-old flute teacher whose home is filled with fairies and butterflies. I don't think it's age...it's a girlie thing.

How do you know it was a GED ceremony? We do know she was home schooled for much of high school, but I thought home-schooled kids were allowed to march in their district's graduation ceremony (?).

The coroner originally stated that the cause of death was natural causes. I know zero about it but in the unexpected death of a 20 year old, who appeared healthy, would they not wait for toxicology test results to come in before naming the cause of death?
I would think there would be signs at the scene and on the body of a drug OD that would indicate the death was not natural and likely was drug related.

Morgan's ex-boyfriend also just came back from Australia and Morgan and her dad spent time with him the day before she died. I just put Dalmane Australia into Google and there are bunches of hits about buying it there, some even over-the-counter. I also did not open any of the links specifically.

Trying to get a timeline straight in my mind.

Do we know when the tox results became available to Kurtzman?

he changed MOD and COD 8 full months after death. I would guess he had the tox results well in advance of that.

What else would prompt Dr. K to change his findings so dramatically 8 months later?

Just tossing this out there, and no offense intended, however paypal buttons made me think of it.

Does anyone know if there is something like Legal Aid in the area. That is where you can go to talk to lawyers on sliding scale or pro bono. I don't know what name it would be under there. You have to go to a few appointments to get everything looked over and advised. May not be one in town, but Aspen?

When I tried to do a search for Dalmane and pulmonary edema, Google kept trying to correct my spelling to "oedema", which makes me think it's more commonly prescribed in Great Britain, Canada or even Australia.

(I did the search because one page that listed the side-effects of amitriptyline overdose did not mentioned pulmonary edema, even for those who got a huge dose and survived, in other words, not a delayed effect. So I was trying to find out if one of the other drugs mentioned could cause it.)

BBM ~ uh oh!

I've read almost everything. A few things stick out as the story unfolds. They are that an old boyfriend had been visiting the family the day before Morgan died. That evening Morgan got dolled up to go visit another boy who I guess was her new boyfriend. Her mom commented that the way she sat on the floor doing her hair was 'unusual'.

When Morgan returned home she wasn't herself and was meanish to her mother. Her father went into her room to speak to her and Morgan commented to him that she wasn't feeling well and may have to cancel her babysitting commitment in the morning.

Please understand I'm not pointing my finger at anyone. I'd like to know if the two men were questioned as to Morgan's doings, their relationship with her and status thereof, etc. Who was upset? Who wasn't? etc.

My mind is going the same place. What was different, who was different, the day before Morgan was found dead?

And WHY didn't Morgan respond to her mother for FOUR hours the day before her murder? Where was she that she could not answer her?

  • #893
An AA is what, 60+ hours? (It's been a loooooooong time since I was in college, lol)

So even with enough college credits earned while in homeschool high school to cut it down by a semester, say 15/16 credit hours, that still leaves 3 more semesters or 45 credit hours that Morgan would have had to complete to earn her AA.

And she did it in one semester???

Um. No.

MOO

Morgan was a bright girl. She could have taken AP exams. You can also get college credit for foreign language by passing a proficiency test. We know that she was studying multiple languages.

I entered college with a full semester of credit, and that was a long time ago when they didn't have so many AP options.

It's completely believable. This was an outstanding girl, you can see it from her pictures if nothing else.

Well in the coloradomountaincollege.com article by Gina Waller dated October 11, 2010 that I previously posted, she earned her High School GED. The ceremony itself took place at a college so that could lead to false assumptions. M was a speaker getting her GED.

M passed away December 2011. It is unlikely she could've earned her Associates Degree in about one year. It usually takes two.

She was not enrolled or accepted into a four year college or university at the time of her passing.

She was taking some ballet classes.

The educational statement that really got me is that at age seven, yes seven, Morgan tested at a college level in writing. Tricia asked Toni to repeat Morgan's age and Toni confirmed she said 'age seven'.

Toni has to understand that, without proof, this is hard for anyone to believe. There are child prodigies so it's not impossible but usually we get to see and hear what they are capable of in person on TV.

???
Didn't Toni already tell us about her educational background? What did I miss?

Mom spoke on June 23, 2012 about sending letters out to the men in hats.

http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=122

On June 30, 2012, they spread her ashes
http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=170

On July 10th, they wondered if her killer would ever be bought to justice
http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=228

On July 12, the family spoke of the tide turning. Only a picture posted
http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=249

On July 22, 2012, they spoke of rumors coming
http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=299

On July 24, 2012, they spoke of reflecting b/c the next day they were going to hit the ground running
http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=315

July 31, 2012, somebody stole the gnome
http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=367

Aug 31, is when the crap hit the fan, so to speak, on the blog. Lots of details about the ME. She also explained about the men in hats.
http://morganingram.com/wordpress/?p=920

There's a ton more information in between all those post.....so IMO, I think it started on June 23, 2012 even though mom talked about it beforehand. That is the day she sent letters to the ME.

I've done several, but for a while there were none; I think that was when the Ambien and Lunesta came out, then there were the sleep walking/cooking/eating/driving/killing that started happening, and I started seeing Dalmane again. Still not very much, but it sure has me curious where it came from.

I keep getting offline and then I think of something else - does anyone know how long Morgan had been seeing this new boyfriend? I am curious if it had only been for the last 2 weeks of her life, when her behavior seemed to change so much.

I'm still trying to figure that topic out.?????:what:

Yes she did, graduated from Aspen High, but I clipped this
and Morgan Ingram, shared inspiring stories of their paths to GED success as well as their future plans at CMC. Bolded by me, Morgan had an AA degree. writing college level IIRC at age 7. That all my memory can recall right now
