The way I understand it there were 150 tips about TW's murder, not about DN.
Between TW discovery on tbe 17th and the date of the article (the 20th) there were 150 tips received. I have guessed they were about DN but we don't know and they could have been about the murder or the hatchet menacing as well, or linking the two. I think they were all about DN - he was arrested on the 25th and nobody else has been arrested since nor have any more tips been reported or asked for AFAIK. I don't know what to make of Co LE actions ATM. Do they have anyone else in mind and where does it leave "the similarities"?

I don't understand. What's the telephone game?

It's when one person says something to another, and that person repeats it to somebody else and onward accordingly. Usually after afew go arounds the details of the original story become dramatically changed. Not intentionally, just that each person adapts the story given their personal recollect or opinion.

What's that old saying.....something about even negative attention better than none? I'm just imagining how glorified he would feel if he reads all the energy a bunch of strangers are investing into him and his life. He's just not worth it.

For me it's time to exit him as a topic.

"No such thing as negative publicity"

The only difference I see is that we need to probably go back to discussing him on the Delphi thread as he appears to no longer be the "Co" guy but he is still a POI in Indiana. He's the In guy now.

That must have been really scary and sad for the resident/victim(s) of DN who attended the sentencing and actually told the judge about his tendencies.

Just to clarify - these weren't the tips I was linking/talking about. The 150 tips I mentioned were between 17th and 20th Sep in Co and were not concerning Delphi or the sketch.

[h=3]Sheriff's Office receives more than 150 tips related to Mt. Herman homicide[/h]Here's the link again in case anyone is looking for it.

OT
Ellen DeGeneres has a new game show where one of the games was like that where the contestants had to pass a message down the line by just lip reading.

It was hilarious how when the final message was attempted it was nothing like the original. In some cases they did not match a single word from the original message. LOL :)

Its a fun game show to watch. She has a variety of different games they play and one of them was the message passing game.

"bicyclist Tim Watkins was fatally shot in the same area as that trail, and it was around the same time Nations was allegedly threatening people.
"

I cannot believe he may only get probation for the threatening people with a hatchet.

What does it take these days to put criminals in jail?

ETA Shouldnt all his prior trouble had taken some weight on this decision? I always thought when you had prior trouble that they are usually less lenient. Sounds like he got a cushy deal.

That must have been really scary and sad for the resident/victim(s) of DN who attended the sentencing and actually told the judge about his tendencies.

I might've misinterpreted that tweet, I took it as the victim wanted to tell the judge in person but for some reason couldn't (because it wasn't a trial?). So the prosecutor relayed the victim's wish to the judge, as a way to make the judge aware. Is that incorrect, was the victim actually there speaking to the judge? I find it very frightening what the victim relayed about DN, and it must be very scary knowing he could be out and around. These developments today aren't sitting well with me.

Detectives with the El Paso County Sheriffs Office said they have made no public connection between Nations and the Tim Watkins homicide investigation.

What does that mean, no "public" connection?

You're right, and that's possible too. Either way, yes that person sounded terrified. And either way, it is part of what makes me think this is all a show. NO JUDGE would hear these things and give zero time. Nope.

I didn't understand "public connection" either.

I was thinking about his prior trouble concerning hatchet threats. Even though various witnesses have said he threatened them, for whatever reason he wasn't arrested so there's no prior offense on record. So not being on record, perhaps the judge was unable to take it into consideration? Or would the judge be able to take prior threats into consideration as part of his overall character?
