Found Deceased Cole Cooper, 19 seen on CCTV running snd ‘appeared spooked’ Banknock Falkirk 7 May 2025

In a statement released through Police Scotland, she said: “My heart is totally broken, all I want is the safe return of my gorgeous, fun loving boy. I feel so numb not knowing where he is.

“I’d like to thank the local community and everyone who has helped in searching for Cole so far. Please, if you have any information that can help, report this to police.

“Cole, if you see this message, please get in contact as we just want to know you are safe.

“All I want is my son home. We all love and miss him so much.”

How is this not on national news, I’ve only just heard about this lad! His poor mum, the plea she’s put out yesterday or today. She’s also posted on social media about how disappointed she is in the police handling so far as they got their times wrong and I believe also showed cctv of someone that was not her son originally too!

A body has been found in the search for teenager Cole Cooper who has been missing for four weeks.

Police said the body of a man was discovered in a wooded area near Kilsyth Road in Banknock, near Falkirk, at about 16:15.

Formal identification has yet to take place, however, the family of the missing 19-year-old, who is from the village, has been informed.

Police said inquiries were ongoing ...

His devastated auntie Aimee Tennie, speaking on behalf of Cole's family, posted an emotional tribute on social media, writing: “With shattered hearts, we share the devastating news that our beloved Cole, who was missing, has been found—but not in the way we hoped or prayed for.

"Our worst fears have become reality, and we are now living a nightmare we can’t wake up from. "Cole. Our boy. We fought for you for almost five weeks. Why? How? So many questions… and still, no answers.

"We never gave up, and we will never give up—not until we have the answers. The fight for truth, for justice, and for Cole is not over.”

“The world didn’t get to know the light you carried, but we did—and we will carry it with us, always.”

Police are searching for Cole Cooper

But his aunt, Aimee Tennie, 31, told the Record that no one has come forward to family with this information, despite widespread public appeal, leaving them feeling "something isn't right".

She said: "The story is that a boy Cole knows was doing a job up in Bonnybridge, he was meeting a friend at Mango Restaurant car park with a tool for the job.

"He said he he saw Cole and they spoke briefly and that Cole mentioned to this boy his phone was broke, but never mentioned where he had come from or where he was going. This boy said he was not aware that Cole was missing at this time.

"Police have no physical evidence of this interaction and what we would like answered is; these people stated they saw Cole in the same area the last footage of him was taken.

"Neighbours in this area have already provided this footage of Sunday May 4. So why have they not picked Cole up on CCTV after this interaction on Wednesday May 7. And why has no one come forward to us about seeing him between May 4 and May 7?"

My concern with these statements is that he's clearly seen on his phone at 5:49am May 4th at his dad's house and then seen shortly later around 6am running from something.

yet his 'friend' that allegedly saw him on May 7th states that he said his phone was broken.
Granted it could have broken somehow in those days but im unsure. it seems its a slight red flag & police need to scour CCTV in that area on the 7th to confirm if the meeting up even happend, who was there, any near by sightings/footage etc. . JMO.
