“COLORADO, USA — There are 39 active coronavirus outbreaks at schools, colleges and child care centers in Colorado, according to the latest data released from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).

The largest is at the University of Colorado-Boulder (CU-Boulder), with 1,198 confirmed, cumulative student cases and 12 among staff members. There have been 57 total outbreaks and 1,499 total confirmed cases, tied to school, college and child care outbreaks.

A total of 23 cases have also been linked to the Cameron Peak Fire response in Larimer County, according to the data.“

Colorado coronavirus: Polis gives update on state's response | 9news.com

“Polis highlighted a recent trend in COVID-19 cases in the state:

  • Nine of the last 14 days there was an upward trend in cases.
  • Eleven of the last 14 days there was an upward trend in hospitalizations.
As of Oct. 1, there were 200 current hospitalizations due to COVID-19, the highest number since Aug. 9. The state's seven-day average positivity rate is at 3.42%, below the World Health Organization's recommended rate of 5%.

"We continue to be concerned about an upward trend in coronavirus," Polis said. "We need to really bear down here in Colorado. Wear a mask, be outside instead of inside. Avoid gatherings. That's where a lot of this occurs. Continue telecommuting when you can."”

Yep, and oddly enough most of the Denver news stations aren’t mentioning it and the ones that have are downplaying it ....

Eta imo the massive outbreaks at CU Boulder and CSU, etc., may have contributed.
