I just don't understand.

If your gripe is with the government of Israel, why go after civilians?

Unfortunately there's a lot of antisemites who are hiding behind pro Palestinian advocacy, and they are drowning out the voices of those who actually want peace in the region

It’s no wonder I can’t find much information on the suspect.

Soliman allegedly landed in the US at Los Angeles International Airport on Aug. 27, 2022 with an authorized stay through Feb. 26, 2023, but stayed in the country. After filing a claim, he was cleared for work authorization by US Citizenship and Immigration Services on March 29, 2023, which expired this March, according to the outlet.

“The Biden Admin granted the alien a visa and then, when he illegally overstayed, they gave him a work permit,” White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller wrote on X. “Immigration security is national security. No more hostile migration. Keep them out and send them back.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is a post to X said "terror has no place in our great country."

Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, said terrorism against Jews "does not stop at the Gaza border – it is already burning the streets of America."
(…)
Colorado Rep. Joe Neguse added he is "praying hard for the victims."

"The scourge of anti-semitism has metastasized across our country," Neguse wrote on X. "We must do more—now—to stop this violence. Tonight, on the eve of Shavuot, and always, we stand with our Jewish community."

The New York City Police Department said on Sunday night it is increasing the number of officers at religious sites for Shavuot.

Not sure if what Miller is claiming is true. I've read otherwise.

Michalek identified the suspect as Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45.

Soliman is an Egyptian national, government officials told the BBC's US partner CBS News.

In 2022, Soliman arrived in California on a non-immigrant visa that expired in February 2023, multiple sources have told CBS News. He had been living in Colorado Springs.

A man who shouted "free Palestine" and used a "makeshift flamethrower" to attack people marching in support of Israeli hostages held by Hamas has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, Colorado authorities said early Monday.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office said on its daily booking sheet early that Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, of El Paso County, Colorado, had been charged with two counts of first-degree murder — one with "extreme indifference" and one listed as "deliberation with intent — nonfamily — gun."

Soliman is also charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree assault, one count of causing serious injury to an at-risk adult or someone over 70 and one count of using explosives or incendiary devices.

He was booked in at three minutes to midnight, and his bail has been set at $10 million.

People died? I'd not heard that.

I have not heard that anyone has died. I've heard the opposite (that no one has died). I guess I'm not understanding why someone could be charged with first-degree murder when there's been no deaths. Anyone know how that works?
  • The man suspected of launching a fire attack in Boulder, Colorado, on a group calling for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza is in custody and, despite no one dying, could be charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

That's really bizarre. Never heard of that happening before. Doesn't make any sense for him to be charged with murder if nobody died.

Interesting pic you posted of his mugshot as it's clear his "booboo's" happened after they were getting ready to put him in the police car. I wonder what happened to his ear? Forgive me for saying this but Mike Tyson came to mind biting part of someone's ear off. The places my mind goes sometimes...

The eldest victim had fled the Holocaust during World War II, Rabbi Israel Wilhelm, the Chabad director at the University of Colorado Boulder...

Another is a professor at the university.

He must have thought that he would trip alarms if he bought a gun and ammo.
