I am so sick and tired of these cowards taking out their last living aggressions on innocent lives. If they no longer wish to be amongst the living, they need to go somewhere alone and take themselves out, instead of exacting their misery on other peoeple. This is beyond selfishness on their part, and so unfair to the people and families who must live on with the results of these tragic and violent acts.

It is, in a word, despicable.

How could you find an accomplice ? OMG...

No kidding! That's the question of the day. I'm fighting back tears here, stunned and heartbroken for those who lost their lives and their families.

I don't understand how this happens. I can not for the life of me understand how anyone would get to the point of going to a school with a gun. :sigh:  :rose:

This is breaking my heart!! The numbers keep going up as we hear more and more. Thinking of the victims and their families today. Our children don't seem to be safe anywhere anymore....except at home. :(

Children being led out of school were told to close their eyes as they passed through hallway; loud screams heard on intercom system before it was shut down. (WVIT livestream report)

CBS is reporting 27 dead - at least 14 children. Too many conflicting reports out there right now.

I should add here that the cars they were searching for may have been from tips from concerned parties, and may not have had anything to do with the shooting... I guess we'll have to wait for the press conference whenever that will be.

The scanner is pretty quiet.

Suspect 20yo from NJ, Swat team has gone to his house and broke down the door. per CBS

Oh boy. I wonder if the earlier report I heard on WBBM radio (Chicago) not long ago that the shooter was a kindergartener's father was accurate. That's what they were reporting regarding the deceased shooter. Though, I jumped in several pages into the thread, so maybe that has been clarified?

saying shooter not only wore a military vest but was dressed in BDU's (battle dress uniform)

As if dressing up like a warrior will make him look like anything other than cowardly, child-killer scum.

Not another one!!! OMG this is sooo sad and scary!! I hope those children are okay. Makes me want to go pull mine out of school. :(

I know. I can't imagine. These little kids should be excited for Christmas and looking forward to their break. Praying for those involved.

I am from Ct. I have been watching this all day and I am so shocked, disgusted and saddened. My granddaughters nursery school was in lock down and although she is safe now my daughter is a nervous wreck. Prayers to all that have lost the precious children and family and friends. News conference soon.
