He looks like a deer in the headlites.
Its like one of those old stories of a mansion with the crazy family member locked away, never does go well when they get out.
I know Adam did the deed, but looking at his pics thru life, mommy - and daddy - could of atleast tried something to give him a understanding- connection to reality, so sad - it was so methodical - no anger or rage in the shooting. but that school- that was where his mother made him understand - well i don't know what she made him understand -but it was'nt a good thing JMO MOO

MORE PAIN IN NEWTOWN as prominent Senate Republican says that tighter background checks would be useless

“Nothing we’re talking about would have prevented Newtown from happening,” South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” The comments sparked more frustration in stricken Newtown, Conn.

A leading Senate Republican said an already watered-down gun-control bill is dead on arrival because it wouldn’t prevent another Sandy Hook-style massacre anyway — a painful reminder for stricken Newtown families who hoped the tragedy would spur leaders to action.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham complained Sunday that new legislation, which includes tighter background checks, would be useless at stopping massacres like Adam Lanza’s murder spree at Sandy Hook Elementary.

“Nothing we’re talking about would have prevented Newtown from happening,” Graham said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“This guy (Lanza) did not fail a background check,” Graham said.

Graham’s comment immediately sparked anger in the Newtown area — where Lanza once reportedly walked out on a gun purchase after being told he would have to undergo a background check.

‘Beautiful Boy’ & ‘Kevin’: parallels to Sandy Hook and Adam Lanza

Wednesday, April 3, 2013 by: Joe Meyers

Now that we’ve reached the stage of posthumous psychoanalysis of the Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza, it might be a good time to take a look at two 2011 pictures that dealt with the fall-out of strikingly similar mass murders, “We Need to Talk About Kevin” and “Beautiful Boy.”

Connecticut lawmakers debated a bipartisan package of gun laws on Wednesday that would expand the state’s existing assault weapons ban, impose limits on the size of magazines, and require universal background checks in the state scarred by one of the worst school shootings in American history.

They were expected to put the bill to a vote later in the day.

Senate President Pro Tempore Donald Williams, a Democrat, opened the debate in the state senate with a remembrance of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre on Dec. 14.

Connecticut Senate Votes for Gun Limits; House Passage Is Expected

By PETER APPLEBOME and RAY RIVERA

HARTFORD — With memories of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School as fresh as an open wound, the Connecticut Senate passed on Wednesday what members called the nation’s most comprehensive package of gun control legislation. The House was expected to approve it later in the night.

The vote came in a deeply divided Capitol packed with angry and frustrated gun owners who arrived in buses and vans carrying signs reading “Connecticut the Un-Constitution State,” “N.R.A. Stand and Fight” and “Shall Not Be Infringed.” And it came in a state that has historically been at the heart of the American gun manufacturing industry.

But 110 days after Adam Lanza blasted his way through a locked glass door at the school and fired 154 shots in about 4 minutes with a Bushmaster AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, killing 26 children and educators, senators voted 26 to 10 for gun, school safety and mental health legislation drawn up over the past month by a bipartisan group of legislative leaders.

Legislators called it the most divisive issue in memory and said the legislation was an imperfect response to an impossibly complex issue. Several objected to the rushed pace in which the 138 pages became available only that morning.

The college identification photo of a wide-eyed Adam Lanza was released by Western Connecticut State University in Danbury in response to a records request by the media.

Among the newly released records, Lanza responded “none” to a question asking if he had any documented disabling condition.

Lanza took his last class at the college in 2009. He declined to answer questions in 2008 about his gender and how he described himself.

EAST WINDSOR, CT - DECEMBER 21: A customer looks into the closed Riverview Gun Sales shop on December 21, 2012 in East Windsor, Connecticut. According to the Hartford Courant, sources investigating the massacre at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown have said the Bushmaster rifle used by the gunman Adam Lanza was legally purchased at the shop by his mother Nancy Lanza. The Courant also reports that records show the guns used in a previous mass shooting in Connecticut in 2010, where Omar Thornton killed eight people and himself at Hartford Distributers Inc, were also purchased at Riverview Gun Sales. On Thursday agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and local police raided and closed the gun shop. (Photo by John Moore/Getty Images) / Getty Images

Nancy Lanza's Will, Which Dates To 1994, Left Estate To Her Sons, Adam And Ryan

Administrator Of Estate Says Shooter's Mother Left $60K In Accounts

By DAVE ALTIMARI, [email protected] | The Hartford Courant
6:05 p.m. EDT, April 5, 2013

Nancy Lanza, the mother of Newtown shooter Adam Lanza, had nearly $60,000 in bank accounts and a will dating to 1994 that left her estate to Adam and his brother, Ryan Lanza.

The five-page will, originally signed in November 1994 when Nancy Lanza and her husband at the time, Peter Lanza, lived in New Hampshire, was filed in the regional Probate Court in Bethel earlier this week by Stamford attorney Samuel Starks.

Starks had been assigned by Probate Judge Joseph Egan to search for Nancy Lanza's will and to file an accounting of her estate. Starks has yet to file that accounting, although in a letter to Egan he said that he had identified $59,000 in liquid assets that belonged to Nancy Lanza as of Dec. 14, when 20-year-old Adam killed her in her sleep before driving to Sandy Hook Elementary School and murdering 20 first-graders and six women before killing himself as police closed in.

Nancy Lanza's will originally made Peter Lanza her beneficiary and executor. But the couple was divorced in 2009, removing him as a benefactor or executor.

Nancy Lanza, who was 52 when she died, listed her brother James Champion as well as Mark Lanza, Peter's brother, as alternate executors of her estate. However, both men submitted letters to the probate court indicating that they did not wish to serve as executor. Neither specified why.

Sandy Hook gunman Adam Lanza carried out killings 'as act of revenge after suffering from years of bullying at school'
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

A friend of killer Adam Lanza's mother has said the gunman may have launched his murder spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School as an 'act of revenge' after suffering years of bullying.

Family friend Marvin LaFontaine said Lanza, who killed 26 people during one of the worst school shooting in America's history, had been harbouring resentment towards the Connecticut school for years. And he said mother Nancy Lanza was so angered by the school's inability to protect her son, she would sometimes sit in his class to make sure nobody would touch him.

He told the New York Daily News: 'I think Adam felt betrayed by the school and this was his act of revenge.'Mr LaFontaine, who was also Lanza’s Cub Scout leader when he was a young boy, said he was told by the killer's mother that he was picked on at school. He said: 'Adam was an easy target. He was quiet and he would never fight back.'

Regarding the above article:
Enough with the bullying excuse; I'm sick of it. Bullying happens in life, it happened to all of us at one point. Bullying doesn't justify or excuse the actions of that monster. I'm sick of these idiots trying to tug at our heartstrings to help us "understand" the horrific actions of evil. Stop it with this crap of blaming bullying on everything. There were obviously deeper issues going on with that evil monster and saying "oh he was bullied" essentially spits on the graves of those senselessly murdered and in the face of their loved ones.

If everyone who was bullied in school reacted the same way, there would be hundreds of shootings every day.

He was a deeply disturbed individual (aside from having some form of autism) and she was codependent.

I'm not sure Adam was bullied nor do I know if the family friend was told the truth by Nancy, however, I have to disagree with you. Bullying is a huge problem and it does have psychological affects on the person bullied. The drastic results though are most often a suicide or the person being bullied being hurt severely, maybe even physically. So let's not tear apart the true effects of bullying over this case. Frankly, I haven't seen enough people claim it was a reason to do anything harmful to others to have such a huge overreaction to it. People bullied often hurt themselves. Sorry....just my opinion.

It might be a huge problem but it shouldn't turn someone into a mass killer. Especially considering that if AL ever was bullied to being with, it would have been years ago.

In my opinion she was an enabler. She enabled him to have access to guns, to sit in the basement and play video games (apparently violent ones). Not saying that raising someone like him would be easy, but purchasing lots of powerful guns, presumably to keep him happy clearly was not the answer.
