The child in this latest photograph has detached earlobes; the picture of Adam most commonly circulated shows very distinctly and somewhat uniquely attached earlobes.

Also, Adam's brother's name is Ryan; is this Jamie another brother?

Zephyranth,

A typo possibly (???) (re: Jamie), me thinks

Nancy had two children-Ryan and Adam. Therefore no brother named Jamie.
I am not at all sure the child in the photo is AL-doesn't seem to resemble him much.

The latest version of the NYDaily News article says:

"Nancy Lanza kept a collection of guns, including those her son used to kill her and commit the slaughter, but her emails made no mention of weapons. They (the emails) also did not hint of the bullying her friends claim Adam endured as a student at Sandy Hook. Her emails also show that she was a doting mother, who threw birthday parties for Adam and his older brother Ryan, and made sure their summers were full of fun activities."

They are getting their manufactured 'story' all screwed up, imo.

I don't believe it. Nancy MAY have told LaFontaine that he was bullied, but I don't believe it. Adam's brother would know. Maybe some day he will tell what really was going on in their house.

BBM: Yes, I hope the brother will eventually speak out and put an end to some of the speculation. There's a story there and a reason why he and his brother were estranged.

"Childhood pictures of Adam Lanza and his brother Jamie dressed up for Halloween. Adam idolized his uncle, who was a Green Beret, according to Nancy Lanza's emails.

That photo caption alone should be enough of a clue for anyone who has followed this case and knows who the members of Adam's immediate family are/were to realize the extent to which the article has been made up like a fairy tale.

I'm having a difficult time believing NL had some mystery, unnamed, immune disorder. There are a lot of immune disorders and many of them are not fatal. I have one and my son has a different one and my husband has yet a different one. I also just can't believe NL didn't know more about the violence AL was immersed in on a 24/7 basis... but, yeah, I can see th epic described as even more horrific. Won't buy the bullying until someone else validates that also, but it could be. In this case, I just don't sense it was a big factor. If NL saw really horrific pics two weeks before the murders, why did she take off for days going to a spa (or something) and leave the guns all totally accessible.

They mention a Jamie, but Adam Lanza's brother is Ryan. Where did they come up with Jamie? As for bullying, why he did it at age 20 and at children who did not bully him?

Probably feared that her son might get angry at her.

It would be interesting to hear from Ryan Lanza. I am curious why he was estranged from Adam to begin with.

On a related topic, I have not heard from other relatives of mass murderers like Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, Seung-Hui Cho, etc.

"Putting Adam aside", we don't even know if Ryan was close or kept in touch with his mother for the last few years .... or NOT

Re: "Why Adam went shooting at the age of 20 (when he wasn't being bullied already) ... and why he chose little kids?".

I can only reply to that, that NO ONE but Adam, himself, can provide those answers to us.

Because he felt like that? .... and "end of story", basically ... because little children were much easier targets for him ... then more mature kids or adults ... (especially if he tried to kill as many people as possible, as was reported).

He was SICK .. All of those shooters ARE ... They do their "thing" .. and then it's DONE (and in most cases they are DONE also).

And that leaves us go: "Why why why?" -- There will not be a clear answer why, though!

Cuz he was SICK, bottom line!
Sick in the head ...
Who knows what was going on in that sick head of his.

Personally ... I think it's a FACT that Adam was bullied in school(s) at one point or another ... and the proof of that is staring us in the eyes..... --- It's was reported in the media and, by now, should be taken as fact that Nancy EVEN sat in classrooms just to make sure Adam wasn't bullied etc.

And that wasn't even at Sandy Hook, as far as I know (?) ... but in later years, when he was already more mature.

So then he was bullied (or mistreated) in Nancy's eyes (and more likely, in Adam eyes as well) throughout most of his school years.

And when he went shooting ... -- he planned it basically ... and little kids in Sandy Hook (where there wasn't any police or armed guards presence) was the EASIEST target for him.

Something like that.......

It's disgusting that you're essentially giving the killer of children a pass because poor him, he was bullied in elementary school and 12-14 years later enacted revenge...

It's a preposterous excuse and embracing it only serves to defecate on the graves of the victims and on the faces of their loved ones.

He was evil, period.

lol ... Keep your tempers in check there....

"It's disgusting" ... -- In my eyes, anyhow, you are getting personal with me by saying that.

It's sad, however, that seems like you can not apprehand what I am saying or trying to say ....

If he was bullied or was NOT bullied ... -- who is giving him some sort of a pass?? ... SURELY not me!

If he was bullied or NOT .. it's up to you and me to believe one way or another ... but that's basically where it should end.

Even if he was INDEED bullied in school (at one point or another, or throughout the entire school duration, for example), which I feel there is a very good chance that it could be the case (considering the bullying problem in general nowadays) ... it DID NOT give him the right to go shooting people.

And I didn't say that it did .. or, in NO WAY, tried to justify his actions.

So therefore, I don't see any need for you to say to me "It's disgusting" ... or to be getting personal with me in general. Period! :(

But go ahead ... "bury your head in the sand" ... until something similar occurs again.

It was not the first and would not be the last time when a shooter or potential shooter was bullied (or felt like was bullied).

They DON'T have a right to go and shoot innocent people because of that ... but ... it's not like we can go sue them or something after they do ... :(

Better to try and pay more attention to people's mental state ... bullying (or potential bullying) in general, and other such important things... than to bicker (after it already happened) about something someone said or suggested might seem disgusting to you or might offend you.

As long as at least some of similar incidents can be prevented because of paying more attention to what I am saying above ... even if someone gets offended a bit "in process" ... -- would be a VERY SMALL price to pay, if you know what I mean.

Better than "buring one's head in the sand", anyhow.

IF Adam Lanza was "evil, period", (and, I personally don't believe he was evil) how does one use that conclusion to then spot evil people in the future? And, if one is able to spot evil people ahead of time, what should be done with them?

  • #679
by the way ...

"evil, period" .. is kind of the same thing that I was sayiing anyhow, lol:

"Cuz he was SICK, bottom line!
Sick in the head ...
Who knows what was going on in that sick head of his."

Same thing.. different terminology..... :D

"evil, period" ... BUT then what, basically?

I am sure there are many "evil people" out there... some, more likely, even more evil than him, considering they are in "perfect condition" medically and mentally, and AL wasn't.
