I wonder if dsam Lanza had Congenital insensitivity to pain as reported. I have not heard of it from other people who knew Lanza, besides from Richard Novia.

Thanks, so Adam IS able to connect (sometimes) with other people then!

I do remember reading something yesterday that his old classmates at the the college said Adam did crack jokes... I'll try to find that article.

It was on the Brothers FB but I do not think it is Adam. I think it might be the Brother years ago. JMO.

God bless Rick, who seems to have been more heroic with every story we hear about him! What a brave, brave man.

So the article that we scoffed yesterday (about the tragedy being worse because the staff was all female) was not only silly but it was also wrong.

Yes he did .. but very seldomly ...

... he prefered not to communicate with others .. but occasionally that friend persuaded him to :D

Who the heck said he was talking about it "casually"? His entire tone suggested someone tortured by thoughts of dead children. He didn't come across as wanting to sound "tough" at all.

He clearly is working through his pain, and some jerk with a recorder and an online column is making his most intimate emotional processing public. Go ahead and condemn him for the way he's handling shock and pain, if that's what makes you feel better.

I for one understand his desire to have somehow gone back in time and saved those children.

I said it ... are you saying he wasn't being interviewed? I'm not 'condemning' him, I just think it's irresponsible to face violence with violence (or violent talk).

http://rt.com/usa/news/newtown-massacre-adam-otoole-426/

have not seen the photo in above article before

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusiv...tting-worse-burning-himself-months-sandy-hook

in this article the picture of him in the Old Navy (orange) hoodie I saw that photo earlier and the article said it was from catholic school he attended. How old does he appear in that photo?

I think the top pic in the rt.com article is his brother Ryan from Ryan's FB page. Even a week later, the media still hasn't figured out which brother is innocent. IMO

I think you both make some good points. I think the hairstylist was running his mouth and speaking off-the-cuff and the reporter decided to sensationalize the hairstylist's anger/grief in an opportunistic manner -- likely to set the public off in our reactions.

Least of the possibilities, IMO.

Possible that it could be AL the perp and that the photo was on his brother's FB page before he shut it down?

I can't rule out hoax, though. There's been too many of them.

I'm curious about the "wp-content" from e-cloudy. Any idea if that is unique to the user who uploaded the photo?

I saw RL's facebook page before it was shut down. IIRC, this photo was in the "profile pictures" folder. So it would be RL, not AL in the photo. MOO

Another interview referencing the custodian (Rick)! All I can figure is he must be in the hospital and the family is keeping his location secret (like the family of the Vice Principal is doing with her location - I need to find that article)

Tales of heroism from Sandy Hook: 'All I was hearing was, pop, pop, pop, pop ... and it wasn't stopping'

Shari Burton, a Sandy Hook teacher's assistant, who called 911 just moments after hearing those first horrifying shots. Tonight, she tells our Griff Jenkins how she kept 16 students safe as gunman Adam Lanza began his cruel killing spree.

BURTON: I called 911, and they said that they had some calls come through already, and they asked me to describe what I was hearing. And at that time, all I was hearing was, Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. And it wasn't stopping. And he said, Do you think it's gunshots? And I said, I think it's gunshots.

At that time, I did not realize that our teacher could not lock our door, but she had saw the custodian. She said, Our door won't lock, and he shooed her into our room and she closed the door. And he came back. He stayed in the hallway and he locked our doors.

....

At one point, someone shook our door, but they didn't say anything, so I don't know who it was. I don't believe the shooter was ever in our side of the building.

I know that our custodian had stayed in our hallway out the entire time. And when the police stormed or came in, I heard the conflict -- you know, he was trying to explain to them that he was the custodian, and I could hear that. I could hear the yelling between the two of them. You know, the police are coming in.

...

JENKINS: Rick, the custodian, was essentially just standing guard for your classroom.

BURTON: I believe so. Yes. I believe him and Barbara Halstead played a huge part in saving many of the lives.

JENKINS: Barbara is the secretary...

BURTON: She is.

JENKINS: ... who was on the intercom.

Also notice another instance of teachers being unable to lock their doors. :banghead:

Gunman's family at a loss to explain Connecticut shooting
http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/16/justice/connecticut-shooting-suspect-profile/index.html

"Eventually he started opening up more to us on the tech team, telling us jokes even," Diaz recalled.

"I never would have thought he was capable of something like this," he said. "I once wondered that if he became isolated he might hurt himself, but never another person."

Sounds like Lanza was not a total isolate like Seung-Hui Cho.

Lanza took honors classes and once taught other students how to build a computer.

"He was really into it and very good at that class," Diaz said.

Diaz ran into Nancy Lanza, Adam's mother, not too long ago, he said.

Agree, the media needs to do more fact-checking before publishing or broadcasting so-called "facts".

Mother's Day, Father's Day, Vetran's Day,
Breast Cancer Awareness month etc

It can't be Adam Lanza because the guy in the photo has brown eyes and AL had blue eyes.

The same photo comes up in the google image search using his brother's name.

I thought it was really irresponsible of him to talk about inflicting violence this way ... I can see where it spurs other people to think this would have been a good idea. How can you so casually talk about killing another person. Or is he just trying to be a tough guy - something we can do without, IMO.

He is angry. Just wait until the parents of the babies who were killed come out of the fog of grief. It's going to be unbelievable!

If the picture in ? is RL then it is my opinion that he had a nose job, not that there's anything wrong with that.

You're right the news source did not have to publish all of what he said.

True. I have my dog as my profile pic. I hope I don't even resemble her in the least ;)

I definitely agree. Violence begets violence.
