He just said it again. Melonor Ellis is what it sounded like.

I get Melon Ornallus

When pronounced out loud... I guess they're the same name! LOL

OK I got that too -- so will go with yours. State anyone?

I am thinking it may be a hyphenated name as Ornellis may be Hispanic

ETA: Found a few Ornellas but not a pharmacokinetist....

This is just like the telephone game. You sit in a circle and whisper something to the person next to you. And on and on. It usually turns out.

It sounds like Dr. Mallen-Ornelas. I found a PhD graduate in Biomedical Engineering by that name, but her previous educational background is in astrophysics...

See under "Poster presentation". Another topic presented at this event is pharmacokinetics, so it might be the right person.

^^ That PDF is about Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic Analysis Software, with special thanks at the bottom to Gabriela Mallen-Ornelas.

I am getting a headache. I honestly cannot listen to this anymore. Talk to you all later.

"I did not take the time to analyze these reports in detail" ad nauseum...

For $3,500/day or what ever he expected from them, he should have, IMO.

That's pretty good cash.... But when you look at CM's, his would have been $5000/day. OMG.

That appears to be her IMO. I bypassed that without opening because I thought he said she was from Indiana. Sorry

I originally thought Dr. White's assistant made these graphs, or some graphs. But now the Dr. they are talking about, is this Dr. Shaffer's ex-wife?

Dr. White does not call the person who made the graphs Dr. He just uses her name.

David Walgren - Deputy District Attorney
Deputy District Attorney David Walgren is no a stranger to high profile cases.

In 2009, he wrote the argument against Oscar-winning fugitive Roman Polanski’s
effort to seek dismissal of the 1977 child-sex case pending against him.

In 2005, Walgren prosecuted photographer John Rutter who was convicted of forgery, attempted grand
theft and perjury for a scheme to sell topless pictures of actress Cameron Diaz back to the actress for
millions of dollars. The pictures were taken when Diaz was 19 and before she had become a star.

Mr. Walgren graduated from UC Davis, King Hall School of Law in 1995.

He started as a Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney immediately out
of law school working misdemeanors, felonies and juvenile cases.

He was attached to the Hardcore Gang Unit from 2000 to 2005 when
he joined the Major Crimes Unit. He is still in Major Crimes.

((Yeah. So. Is he married?))

And they're back. Walgren is questioning Dr. White about guidelines on the use of anesthesia by non-anesthesiologists.

Judge Pastor's usual sunny disposition has seemed to disappear, even after the lunch break.

Should be interesting to see Flanagan's re-cross, considering his propensity to make witness testimony even more confusing, which is the last thing Dr. White needs.

ITA -- it's gonna be ugly, ugly, bravo!

BTW, it's also the last thing the poor jury needs. Gag.

LOL Peace! Somebody is dressing him nicely, that's for sure! :floorlaugh:

Judge Pastor is making some bad rulings on the DT's objections IMHO.

Judge: Stop Fighting!

Ah common, Judge. Let em have a go at each other.

Did Judge say stop fighting or stop arguing? Either way... I'm ready for a brawl!

Walgren's running into some trouble here -- he can't question Dr. White about these studies, ironically because Dr. White did little no to research about the models he was provided.

Back to re-direct by Flanagan.

Yes, but prior to that, White was flip flopping all over the place, and Walgren was merely trying to pin him down, and the Judge should have allowed that line of questioning. IMHO.

And...the Judge should have sustained Walgren's most recent objection about the hypothetical because it DID misstate the evidence.

  • #278
Flanagan's making a mistake here IMO -- he's trying to get Dr. White to justify CM not calling 911, which is really indefensible. It's best to not keep the 911 issue fresh in the jurors' minds.

  • #279
Flannegan is back to the 911 call and hypotheticals. The gate, the fence, the chef, and security. Witness wants clarification.

Oh my it's time for me to go home. My work day is done. Please keep me updated so I can catch up later. Thank you in advance.

Re-direct.

Here's Flanagan again & again & again: :deadhorse:
