Conrad Murray Trial - Day Twenty One

  • #241
It appears that Conrad Murray understands what is going on better than Dr. White!

Oy, he's hanging himself on his own article. This is the most painful part yet. A simple yes-no question will sink him.

And yes, English stooodents, this testimony is a modern example of Shakespeare's line in Hamlet Act 3, scene 4
To wit:

For 'tis the sport to have the enginer
Hoist with his own petard, an't shall go hard
But I will delve one yard below their mines
And blow them at the moon.

This may be on your next Eng. Lit. quiz, so nota bene.

Well this is sad. Dr. White just threw the poor Dr. that did these graphs under a really big bus. He is really trying to distance himself from these graphs. If he did not bring them into evidence they would not be there.

I wonder who else he will try to throw under that bus?

Dr. Arnalas graphs are going down, down, down... White can't explain them and need to talk to Dr. Arnalas. I love When Walgren said he could do so if Mr. Flannagan said he should. This is disgraceful.

IMO those graphs and any testimony re: them should be tossed out. He is testifying outside the scope of his expertise and that is usually not allowed.

One question has been cleared up in my mind and that is that Dr. Shafer has been the better expert without a doubt.

Usually the juror weighs the experts' testimony -- hope they throw his all out. This is outrageous

Break time.

Don't they usually stop for the day at 3:00 pm?
It's 2:40 right now!

I missed the judge fining Dr White, what did he do?

  • #247
IMO - I'm beginning to think that Dr. White thought he'd look all smarty pants bringing in his own graphs (like hey I can do what Dr. Shafer did) and just be taken at face value but because he is incapable of doing these types of models and doesn't have a clue about them, he really didn't even know how to review them for accuracy. This is ridiculous. They shouldn't even be allowed into evidence IMO.

They usually end a 4 so workers can get things in order and are gone by 5. Budget constraints, you know.

By court order, Dr. White's testimony is limited to CM's interview with the LAPD. Dr. White repeatedly testified to some other separate conversation that he had with CM.

White: Well, I'm just being confronted with this.

Walgren: It's your article, doctor.

Priceless!!!! :floorlaugh:

Yeppers, Credence -- and especially price-less for Dr. White....

Tsk, tsk.

He tried to sneak in conversations he had with Murray that were not allowed in at trial. They had a hearing about them and it was ruled they were not allowed.

I am trying to find out more information about Dr. "Arnalas" (don't know how to spell her name). Anyone find anything?

No 4PM PT -- They still have another hour to go or earlier if Walgren finishes his cross first.

I have this taped Will rewind to see if I can get her full name. I do know it started with an "O" not an "A".

Mandy Madranos (KTLA atty): Sports analogy... Walgren has had White against the ropess all day. He's jabbing and getting his punches in and moving on.

Court is in session

Her name was Dr. Ornellas. Do you remember the state she was from? I thought he said Indiana but not sure?

And did he just say Eleanor?

I can't understand the name.
