Come on, someone... A rhyming Coronation poem, pleeze

Charles is now crowned King
With scepter, orb, and ring.
Church and state
Celebrate,
Long live The King!

Prince Louis in Household Guard (I think) is precious. The glittery floral headpieces for HRH Katherine & Princess Charlotte are wonderful. Apprently he was excused at some point?

The Edinburghs are right there, too. The Earl of Wessex will be taller than his sister soon imho.

My Corgi & I (Welsh, Irish, Scot, Cornwall, Mersey) are quite pleased.

Love the Royal Family and all of you, Laughing

The Coronation Day has finally arrived,
Our King with Queen Camilla by his side.
A lovely mode of transport for all to see,
The Gold State Coach for their Journey.

Today at Westminster Abbey 6th May 2023,
A new era has started for the Royal Family.
Splendour and formality for this historic day,
In our hearts and minds this will always stay.

Laughing, did you write this yourself?

Ahh such a shame they couldn’t have quite the fly passed that was planned owing to the low cloud. Great British weather!

Yup.

And, read an interview with HRH Anne, The Princess Royal. She appreciated being appointed to that specific Royal Guard assignment in the procession --- because she didn't need to decide what to wear!

Such a model for us all imho.

Enjoying the festivities from this side of the pond, Laughing

Is it over now? I need to go back and start from the beginning. Also, suggestions on the best video? I switched around a bit and it looked like the best quality video came from the royal family channel, but there is no commentary which I like so I know what is happening and who is who. I took a peek at Sky News and the commentary looked good, but their video quality was terrible.

Try BBC, I prefer their coverage of all things Royal.

I very much enjoyed seeing how carefully Lt Gorgeous Johnny paid attention to Prince George and then King Charles during this historic event.

I saw a flyby with the colors over the Thames. Did they not make to to the palace?

Yes, the coloured smoke plane and the helicopter formations were the only ones flying.

In case anybody is looking for the concert, as I was, it seems it is tomorrow evening not this evening.

It’s in the grounds of Windsor Castle and starts at 8pm BST.
