Are you thinking it’s a conspiracy? Do you think we’re being lied to about the actual cases? Just imagine how many people would have to be in on it....a huge amount.

The world.

You guys would not believe the amount of people that have no idea about real ID. I've tried my best to spread the word to everyone I know. One friend of mine went and renewed her license because it was time...didn't do the real ID. I was shocked. It's like people don't realize they CANNOT get on a plane without it.

Unless you have a valid passport.

"Two HHS officials said Pence’s office had ...[dictated] to the agency how it should be communicating with the public, emphasizing that officials should be honest and open but refrain from using 'alarmist' language about the outbreak in interviews."

You need to have a special drivers license/state ID, called Real ID or Enhanced ID, to fly - even on domestic flights - starting Oct 1, 2020.

Passports are still acceptable I hope. ETA See other posts saying they are.

Just confirmed that Amazon emailed its staff in the Seattle area this afternoon saying it learned that an employee in one of its South Lake Union bldgs tested positive for the coronavirus.

News will be up on @nytimes soon. 1/2

This. Thinking about all the packages, package handlers. Currency. School nurses that travel between schools, and they do for special needs students. I can think of so many ways germs can travel, without direct contact.

Our local schools are reiterating not just the hand washing but also not touching your face.

This is one of the things that has really been bothering me about some of the "officials" I have been hearing in the US. Instead of playing it safe and recommending extra precautions, they instead give poor and/or incorrect advice to people, and now look what happened. A possible case of direct exposure to the person's own relative because of being given poor advice directly from the CDC.

Good Grief. I have lost a lot of confidence in our own officials here in the US about this virus and this is the sort of reason why.

I do think they are starting to learn their lessons but Im afraid its too little and too late at this point.

And all the passengers that were exposed on BOTH flights!! And now that all of these confirmed cases are starting to pop up - who’s responsible for all of the contact tracing?? Each misstep equates to hundreds or thousands of man hours in an attempt to correct the course of this thing! And each misstep will equate to God only knows how many more infected.

It’s infuriating that our entire government and their agencies in control of this thing were either asleep at the wheel, or in total denial. IMO, neither is excusable!

IF ONLY THEY HAD BEEN GIVEN SOME WARNING!

Los Angeles County will hold a press conference at 8:30 a.m. PT to make what they're calling "major announcements" about coronavirus. They'll outline actions they're taking and advice to the public.
