Italy is such a big tourist destination. This has really played a huge role in all of this so far, moo.

What is it with the toilet paper? Do people think that they always have access to food, but not toilet paper? Can they figure out an alternative for toilet paper? Can they figure out an alternative for food?

not sure but I stocked up lol

I was also thinking that if Iran's leadership is wiped out by the virus, younger minds will prevail and there could be a positive change.

I'd like to see North Korea's 'leadership' wiped out.

Went to a country western dance today. Plenty of hugging and contact. Tables of eight. Maybe 500 present. Absolutely no concern about any virus. You can bet I washed my hands well.

I just want the truth about what this virus is. I don’t believe for a second it’s the flu. Or that when warm weather comes it’ll pass. We are all adults and deserve honest answers.
And it’s insane that in our rich country we can’t have some company churning out tests by the millions.

This is for all you homebrew preppers out there cooking up a fine batch of Purell #2

you're at the Acceptance stage

Ha. Yeah, that’s why I said “it is what it is” earlier. If I get it, I get it. I’m more worried about others I care for than myself, frankly.

More random musings include we’re all going to die anyway HAHA JK
(I really did think that though)

Hope you guys don’t mind a little levity.

Replying to myself.

"A 62-year-old man who became Spain’s first coronavirus patient is believed to have made a full recovery after being treated with an HIV drug, according to a report." https://nypost.com/2020/03/05/coron...y-recovers-after-being-treated-with-hiv-drug/

and this is of interest too:
"'Among the potential treatments is an HIV medication that may work to block an enzyme the virus needs to mature."
Doctors fight coronavirus outbreak with drugs that target HIV, malaria and Ebola
Thank You so much :)

The Japanese Toto Toilet is a great innovation in bottom hygiene. Especially with the drier unit.

They should just get it over with and tell us we are all going to die.

Or maybe give us a list: homeless, prisoners, people living in poverty, people with no insurance, elderly, those on cruise ships and in nursing homes...

Yeah David Abel said that was the best part about being in quarantine on the cruise ship lol

I do believe depression is setting in so, tomorrow night I'll be trading the trail mix for a bottle of BDE's primal fear wine...or is it primal harvest....? primal something.

EXACTLY

There are worldwide viral surveillance groups out there whose function is to monitor viral outbreaks of all kinds - the people who tell us about outbreaks of avian flu in ducks or or swine flus in pigs and other stuff in animals, or Dengue or Zika, or Tsutsugamushi Fever or whatever. They knew there was something significant happening, yet our own government doesn't want to listen to real scientists and protect their own citizens using the real power and force of science and research. The Chinese were told too, and their voices of reason were shut down, and one of them eventually died.

I’ve been thinking about this..... do you think once it hits Washington DC the air will change?

Montgomery County, MD just had three cases confirmed. It’s here. I think we are about to see what that response looks like.

Imo.

I considered that but then when I went to my profile it already said Central Florida from waaaaaay back when I originally joined WS so that cat was out of the bag ages ago.
Yep I just realized my Detroit Lions Helmet. Oops. Too late. Won’t take Sherlock to figure out where I might be from.

I’ve run out of toilet paper before during hurricanes, etc. As I said in thread 1, there are some alternatives I may share if worse comes to worse. They ain’t pretty. Hahaha
