THIS!!!!!
And I’m becoming more and more worried that those in charge think “well, eventually they’ll all get the virus, so why even try?”. That’ll get them off the hook for a lot of social security, lots of people with health problems, homeless, etc. not to mention there is TONS of ageism when I hear “only those elderly people” Grrrrr!
Sorry, had to vent.

There’s a lot of truth in that statement, but it would only take one mutation to change the entire equation. And not all viruses follow the natural order of things. The 1918 pandemic is about the best example I know of. In totality, those 65 and older faired better than the 20 to 40 year old category. It’s very interesting how that one played out.

Also want to add that IMO, I’m not yet convinced that we know how this will all play out. They have claimed that the virus has peaked in Hubei, not the war rages on. And the reports that are starting to surface regarding a possible 14% reinfection rate tells me that we probably don’t have all the facts yet. There may yet be another entire chapter yet to be discovered with COVID-19.

Personally, I take no comfort with ANY ASSUMPTION when it relates to new viruses. COVID-19 continues to defy the rules of the “norm”

All MOO...

I do believe depression is setting in so, tomorrow night I'll be trading the trail mix for a bottle of BDE's primal fear wine...or is it primal harvest....? primal something.

And add some Procul Harum

They should just get it over with and tell us we are all going to die.

Okay, reality check. If someone in the Highest age range, 80+ years old, they have a 14% death rate, IF they catch the virus. Based on what we have seen, 100% of people over age 80 who are exposed, don't even get the virus! Otherwise, we would have seen a much higher death rate on the Diamond Princess, and at the nursing home in Seattle.

It is not time to put yourself in a glass dome. It is flu. Yes, it is fast spreading, yes, flu is crappy. Yes, people have died....but, every one is going to die. You are more likely to die in a car accident than the COVID19.

Carry on...and wash your hands.

I can just see myself blow drying my arse

No, no, the toilet does it for you while seated. It's very respectful and pleasant and efficient. There is also a heated toilet seat. You have no idea what you are missing

I’ve run out of toilet paper before during hurricanes, etc. As I said in thread 1, there are some alternatives I may share if worse comes to worse. They ain’t pretty. Hahaha
Tissues
Paper towels
Newspapers
Kitchen sponges
Old rags
what else?

Yeah David Abel said that was the best part about being in quarantine on the cruise ship lol

It's always the simple things that are the best.

He's gonna get a commercial, I can tell

Old t-shirts. And if you want to save the logo, cut that part out.

Please dispose of properly lol.

I wouldn’t use my other valuable resources like sponges or paper towels if possible.

Newspapers, etc suck.

Left hand. That is why you eat with your right hand in the communal rice dish. Never with the left.

The Japanese Toto Toilet is a great innovation in bottom hygiene. Especially with the drier unit.

That’ll be the next item to go out of stock on Amazon. We all better hurry.

That’s what I’m saving my Pottery Barn catalogs for.

Use for all those unpaired socks that have been hanging around in the laundry?

Edited to remove duplicate post part.

None of my family members are the least bit concerned but me. Am I crazy to be worried? I'm in Ontario where most of the cases are ... there is no hand sanitizer or N95masks near here.

ETA: my mom may be a bit concerned but she's elderly and has lived through wars and the Depression so she has a right to be IMO

I have a daughter in Ontario and she's not at all concerned. People trust their governments. If they say it's all good, they carry on like it's all good.

Not sure about any of you guys, but it seems that I’m a hypochondriac from hell.

I keep feeling my forehead, face and neck for a fever (with very clean hands of course :D ).

:drama:

I didn’t buy a thermometer and now I’m thinking I should get one, if anything to quell my own anxiety LOL.

(ETA: @dixiegirl1035, you were talking the other day about missing all the old emojis here...I miss that “drama” emoji LOL.

You know what other old emoji I really miss? “ “...that was the cute guy with glasses behind the desk typing, iirc. He might have even had coffee lol.)

I was attempting to pay my house taxes without touching things. It’s no wonder someone didn’t post this on YouTube. I looked like a nutball.
