I get hay fever from ragweed and that's exactly what it feels like Fever , body aches, headache , chills, Sneezing, runny nose burning eyes, ETC
I not sure Ill know at all.

My doctor said the key to survival is getting treatment FAST. So when in doubt, call the doctor.

That’s what I thought.
I can't even remember what I thought at the beginning.....seems like such a long time ago now, with so much news since then.

Well, no wonder I'm the way I am!!! I'm for sure a kick butt & take names kinda person - and I'm also 40% Czech. I'd fine their butts too!!!

I called the doctors office this morning to see if they could fit me in today. The lady on the phone asked me the Coronovirus survey questions before they'd even see if they could fit me in. Arrived at the check in desk an hour later, was asked the survey questions again from the receptionist. Called back to check in with the nurse, she asked the survey questions too. So 3 times I was asked all the same questions. Then, I got to see the doctor - who did not ask me any virus questions, thankfully.

Man NONE of that happened when I went to the doctor Wednesday.

Some advice I learned during flu season:

For those who like beer, and order draft beer, switch to bottles. That’s for anyone who goes to a restaurant or bar.
The bartenders sometimes do a fast washing in a sink with other glasses, etc. As for bottled beer, nobody has put their mouth on it before you.

I don't want to upset myself , but I'm going to tell you guys anyway , I have a perfect angel Micki Mouse my little chi dog with a perfect mickey mouse on her back the Black and white View attachment 236840 Anyhow she Coughed for 2 days and I gave her honey and expectorant and echnesia and she seemed fine but she passed yesterday morning as I was holding her drinking my coffee , she just went limp and I lost it ( still am losing it ) I'm sure my neighbors heard me wailing , now granted she was 18 years old and about 3 lbs but Now I cant help but wonder if she caught something, and I don't even want to go there I'm also grieving my best(and only)girlfriend of 40 years so this is a extra horror for me , I feel like I should have taken her to the vet the first cough , it didn't seem like anything more than a hairball cough :( naturally I want to drink bleach I feel so rotten, like I'm the worst dog mom ever )
Don't beat yourself up, it's unlikely your girl had a preventable illness. Little dogs are expected to live about 12 or 13 years and yours gave you 5 years' bonus time :) (as did my little guy). I'm sorry for your loss. (hugs)

Oh Sloane! I'm so sorry to hear this! My heart is breaking for you. I think many of us have felt what you are feeling right now. Please don't second guess what you did. You loved your pup and she knew that. Be kind to yourself. She would want that. (((((Sloane))))) You'll be in my thoughts and prayer for the loss of your long time girlfriend and your pup.

The path to 1 million. You can track along and we can see if it veers off in the next 5 weeks. This was a chart built for China with an R0 of 2.0.

Look for the data point for the day that conforms to a single day of new confirmed cases.
For instance, we should be around Jan 17 or 18th with 62 to 121.

Austria introduces health checks on Italian border

The Austrian government says it will carry out "spot health checks" on its border crossings with Italy.

The aim is both to identify people who might be infected with coronavirus, as well as to raise awareness and lead to a reduction in cross-border traffic, Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said, according to ORF.

Direct flights between Austria and Bologna, Milan, Iran and South Korea will be banned for the next two weeks.

Austria has 63 confirmed infections, the government said on Friday evening.

I am so sorry about your pup and your girlfriend. I know how it feels to lose a fur baby. I still think of them and I get so sad. ((Hugs))

I wish the U.K had banned flights a few weeks ago.

I've been out for a few hours and want to report on cautionary measures being taken in public venues. In short: Not much. DH was at a Ford dealership this morning for a recall on his Escape. There were no wipes or hand sanitizer until he checked out at the cashier's desk. There is community coffee service for waiting customers -no wipes or hand sanitizer.

DH returned home, and we both later left for the City Clerk's office to "spoil" our previously-mailed absentee ballots for Michigan's primary next Tuesday. We filled in new ballots and put them in the voting box. Hand sanitizer on counters for public and staff use.

Quick trip to the international marketplace for a few groceries. Tasting going on like any other Friday (Saturday and Sunday, too). Produce stockers, butchers, and fish mongers always wear gloves (no masks) but no other staff wore them. I didn't notice any customers wearing gloves or masks, either.

Final stop was for my PT appointment during which time DH did his regular Friday swim. PT outpatient facility is in a Beaumont Hospital building that houses a fully equipped gym, indoor track, and aquatic center. I used the locker room restroom and noticed no wipes or hand sanitizer, although they always have hand soap, shampoo, and body lotion. DH reported that men's locker room also had nothing beyond what is always there.

I will now try to catch up on the pages that I've missed.

I have zero restraint when it comes to these kinds of things. If I go somewhere that doesn’t have sanitizer, that needs it, I’m going to say something about it.

Could be they can't find any.
