5 new coronavirus cases in Ontario, one used GTA transit while symptomatic
''The number of Ontario residents infected with the novel coronavirus continued to climb on Friday as public health officials recorded six new cases in the past 36 hours, bringing the total in the province to 28 by late afternoon.

But officials said the risk of contracting the virus remains low, noting all recent cases involve people who have either recently visited global hotspots for the bug or their close relatives.

Officials said there is still no evidence of community spread in Ontario.

Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health Dr. Eileen de Villa said one of the latest patients in Ontario diagnosed with COVID-19 used public transit while he was experiencing symptoms from March 2 to 4 before going to hospital.''

''The other cases include a man in his 20s who returned from Italy on March 3 and went to Mount Sinai Hospital’s emergency department in Toronto. He was discharged home the same day where he remains in self-isolation.''

Still running a fever and feeling miserable.
Sleep is my next best friend. Taking plenty of Tylenol, mucus relief chest(expectorant)
nasal decongestant. Wish I had the chicken soup. No plans on seeing the doctor since
I’m staying home. No point unless l get worse.
We now have 15 deaths here in my Seattle area. My heart goes out to their families.
My heart is breaking my tears are flowing as l write this!

I really believe the failed roll out of testing and lack of testing is intentional. Thousands of positive tests will overwhelm our healthcare system. The powers that be don’t want to know because A- medically we will be unable to do anything about it. B- we are not a country that locks up, rounds up or otherwise detains our citizens easily.

IMHO the medical profession and government have decided the head in the sand is the best way. Smh.
While I'm suspecting the US reaction is purposeful, I think it's so we don't overwhelm
the stock market and the supposed high flying economy. I believe we've been duped.

I feel a passive-aggressive tune to the methods
being used to stall testing and information sharing.
Anyone with half a brain should know the
delays and stalls will only work for so long.
the market will fall and the economy will tank.
But many little people will be harmed for a long, long time.

Or the virus is running unabated through the country like it's doing in WA, CA, and OR right now.....and probably NYC and FL.

Running abated now, disguised as the seasonal flu, etc for the really sick and a bad cold for the kids and not so ill.

I have to respectfully disagree on the medical front. I'm watching their twitter accounts and they are blowing it up trying to influence government to act....

BBC has a scathing perspective on virus management, or lack thereof, and mixed messaging about the virus, in the US. Messaging has been that people with mild cases of the virus should continue to go to work, and that the virus will disappear on its own in the Summer.

They mention 28 million without insurance and 11 million undocumented illegal immigrants who are afraid to seek medical treatment. They speculate that the virus will expose the weakness in the health system.

Complete speculation.
Perhaps it comes down to economics, those in the know, the elite? - knew what to do with stocks, banking, ect. purchasing of medical items and getting affairs in order before the masses.

I don’t think that’s the medical profession’s attitude at all.

Agreed. They seem to be taking it seriously and demanding action.

What's with Lebron and his refusal to play with no fans present? Is he also in denial? And, Melania? She's very concerned with the construction of a tennis pavilion so important people can gather there. Where is concern about this virus killing US citizens?

Worse for me...I’m allergic to the expectorant. Which works really well. It’s awful to have a lung disease but not be able to use that stuff.

He talks like a guy with a 10-gallon drum of the finest Purell in the garage behind his Bently, Porsche, Maserati, Lamborghinis, Suburbans, and a Range Rover

And 5000 rolls of the finest TP

More on this “social distancing” business from my perspective as it unfolds:

I’ve been invited to some dinners and such, but politely declined as I said “I’m not making any plans right now as I’m keeping an eye on all this coronavirus stuff”.

Expect some people not to understand.

Expect some people to think you’re totally overreacting.

Expect some people to think you’re living in fear and panicking.

Expect some people to think you’re crazy.

Expect some people to not appreciate your wishes that you’re not into close contact such as shaking hands and hugging and try to to come close or touch you anyway.

Expect some people to be personally offended.

Jmo.
