I took my dog to the trail but I had to pee. So I thought I’d brave the public restroom at the adjacent park. I went in and used it without touching ANYTHING. I left the door open. Then someone in the adjoining stall flushed and it was so forceful. I thought “Great. Now I have an aerosol plume from a bunch of people all over me.”

I still ran the dog. But I was scared to even wipe sweat off me or take a drink or use my chapstick or anything that could get germs embedded in my skin or in my mouth. I took a hot shower the moment I got home.

This thing has me paranoid. That’s the last time I’m using a public bathroom if I can help it even if I have to use a bush.
Use a bush next time. More sanitary.

What! Are you drinking BDE's Primal Pleasure wine?

I wouldn’t dream of it!!!

My neighbor saw me carrying in all the toilet paper yesterday and said “now she knows whose door to knock on...” :D

Our President has great power to impose new laws when it comes to epidemics.
I personally see him getting really proactive about people pulling this kind of bull crap.
Watch for it.
Some people won't stay in self-quarantine when they are told to. A woman is a patient, and her father went to father-daughter dance with his other daughter, despite being asked to self-quarantine.

"St. Louis County Executive Sam Page said Sunday that the patient’s family had been told on Thursday to self quarantine at their home in Ladue. Page said the patient's father had not followed health department instructions. Page spoke at a news conference Sunday evening."

You’ee braver than I, my friend. At least you could brave the public restroom.

Next time you may choose to use the depends I talked about in the beginning and this is no joke.

Who cares. Everyone is likely to get leaky bladder at some point or another, if they do t already.

I have no problem wearing depends. If stuff gets bad enough, I might confess the measures I’ve taken..nah, I’ll keep that little secret.

I can't remember who or where I read it now but a doctor said that dry skin is like a sponge to viral germs. He suggested using plenty of lotion on our hands and wrists because of the continuous washing and sanitizers. So it's probably good to get sweaty :)

It's the delineation of high risk in the Chinese results. It might be worse or better here or even affect another age group, but you gotta start somewhere. I'm 59, so throwing myself in that group and isolating....
If you are working, take precautions depending on what you do. Don't hang out at the water cooler. Use hand sanitizer. Keep your distance.

I have to go to court tomorrow. I’m terrified, frankly. Elevators. Courtroom packed. I’ve been partially isolating for about a week.

It was stupid. But I really had to go and didn’t realize someone was in there. Or that the toilet would have those high powered flushers.

Wow, reading your post gave me a flashback of the China taxi/Uber?? video that upset me so much in thread 1...(if anyone happens to know how to find it ( @dotr ) please post for anyone recently joining us that might want to take a look into what’s about to go down MOOoooooooooo as far as Uber and Lyft are considered)
Not sure if anyone has already re posted this or not..

Gitana, here’s another thing. For me, it comes down to what kind of post anxiety can I live with.

I braved an Uber and now I’m paranoid about it.

Lesson to self. Avoid the Uber if possible, and therefore no post anxiety. Plain and simple,

Sometimes you haaaaave to, but all I’m saying is the less I have to worry and obsess about later, the better.

I’m expecting to get trolled at any minute about how crazy I sound which is fine. I live my with own anxiety, not you.

I would like to see him detained. Preferably, in a jail cell.
But, do we currently have any laws against this?
Probably not. However, as he's such an idiot, he's probably got a warrant out on him for other antisocial behaviors.
I'm very happy I am not his neighbor.
What a loser. Imo.

Walt Disney Co’s Shanghai Disneyland said on Monday it will resume a limited number of operations at its resort as part of the first step of a phased reopening, although the main theme park will remain shut amid worries about a coronavirus outbreak, Reuters reports.

A limited number of shopping, dining, and recreational activities would be available at Disneytown, Wishing Star Park and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel though they will operate under limited capacity and reduced hours of operation, Shanghai Disneyland said in a statement on its website.

The Shanghai Disneyland had been shut from Jan. 25 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

I wondered why Oakland and not S.F. and found this:

There are limited docks that will be able to dock a ship of that size, and the Port of Oakland location was the easiest to seal off, securely move passengers toward their isolation destinations and protect the safety of the public, Newsom's office said. The port is also close to the airport and Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield.

The Port of Oakland's Outer Harbor Terminal also isn't near any big residential or commercial areas, while the San Francisco port, opens up onto the popular Embarcadero, where tourists and businesses are plentiful.

Cornonavirus: California governor explains why Port of Oakland chosen as 'best site' for cruise ship docking

It really makes sense since Oakland is in the East Bay on the same side of the bay as Travis AFB and the somewhat less busy Oakland International Airport. It’s a straight shot of about an hour on I-80 to Travis.

My brother lives in Oakland. He’s a teacher and also has asthma. Controlled though. But I’m very worried for him in general. Not because they’re docking there. But the mention of Oakland is making me comment.

He’s not worried at all.

VI Attorney @gitana1 and I with our garlic and no deodorant are going to come up with some legal charges we can start demanding. Endangering public health? Domestic terrorism? :D

(Lmao, I missed that whole garlic thing, need to go back :D @gitana1 , in case you missed it, I’m implementing no deodorant as a social distancing method :D )

A lot of people are not worried AT ALL, I mean AT ALL!!!!!!

That’s fine. I’m staying in as much as possible.

Thanks @margarita25 ;)
I’m trying not to freak out.....
And you can pour orange juice into ice trays, freeze them and then pop out into a food saver bag for the freezer. Just in case!

Captain, we're gonna need a bigger freezer !!

If anyone looks at a map, with states affected, it follows I-95 corridor on east coast, I-70 from California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, all the way to the East coast. Along the west coast, the virus follows the I-5, all the way to Seattle. North south, it is following the 35 from Texas to Minnesota.

Forget about airports, it is truck drivers who are vectors for spreading the disease in the United States.
