“Chinese government has offered to send Italy 1000 lung ventilators, 2 million face masks, 20,000 protective suits and 50,000 test kits.”[/QUOTE]

Does this indicate that the Chinese government think they are over the worst .

Dr. Elizabeth Cohen on CNN said even if you have been around a sick person, they do not want to test you unless you have symptoms. Even if you just flew in from Italy! Moo because not linked yet.

I get the impression they do think they are over the worst. The Chinese President even visited Wuhan, China for the first time yesterday.

Towards the end of February China’s cases declined! This is from March 03!
China’s cases of Covid-19 are finally declining. A WHO expert explains why.
In recent weeks, though, the number of new infections and deaths reported in China has been declining, which suggests spread of the virus may have peaked there and that transmission is slowing down.

Geez...

Nearly 130,000 people from around the world are arriving in Las Vegas for #CONEXPOCONAGG, North America's largest construction tradeshow.
Take THAT, coronavirus!

Just wanted to share this in case others are experiencing this too.

I have found I am going through a roller coaster set of emotions, where some days I am able to read the news updates and handle things in a more methodical mechanical way by listening, learning, and taking the small steps we can do which are often covered here.

Then on certain other days, I am not handling the news as well, and getting some high anxiety days where I have to take breaks and do like was suggested yesterday where I watch some regular entertainment TV (esp comedy) which is a nice break and seems to help on those days like that.

Its been one heck of a roller coaster of emotions for me.

Right on, Hatfield

The researchers need to preach this from the mountain tops!!

From the article referenced above:

“Our advice is to wear a face mask all the way (through the bus ride),” they wrote in the paper, which found that those on-board the bus who did wear a face mask did not become infected.

Policies for #COVID19 are diverging in USA, in absence of clear fedl guidance. Sacramento Co, e.g., gave up on containing the virus, urges citizens to mitigate their risks. But in New York @NYGovCuomo is calling out the Natl Guard, all-out for containment.
New York Gov. Cuomo deploys National Guard to New Rochelle, establishes containment center to stem coronavirus

Im real happy to see the NY governor doing as much as he can. He seems to be about the only US governor so far that is treating this with the seriousness that it warrants. He does have the huge NYC to deal with which may explain some of it, but even with that consideration, he is doing so much more than other US states right now and I am happy to see that.

Lets hope more US states begin to ramp up and model some of his actions.

Don't know if this has been posted as I seem to have missed a thread or two, apologies if it has!

So basically, if you're sneezing and have a runny nose along with other flu symptoms, it's unlikely to be Coronavirus

I just returned from my local Kroger in Central KY. Still plenty of toilet paper/wipes available!

On a few shelves they have a sign limiting purchase of certain items to 5 per person; but that was mostly in the OTC cough/colds aisle and the liquid soap/hand sanitizer aisle. In the cough/cold aisle, there were a few empty slots for things like cough drops, but the overall impression was of "plenty."

Plenty of water/pasta/eggs/meats/frozen meals, etc.

I didn't check for hand sanitizer, but they were out of stock a few days ago.
Only saw 1 person with a mask. No signs of hoarding or panic purchasing at this Kroger. In fact, the parking lot (which always seem "full" for some reason) had plenty of empty spots.

Filled up the tank for under $2/gallon, too.
IMO
I need to visit your Kroger! Yours may have had a couple trucks come in! Glad you could get what you needed!

Italy....where I have many friends and a cousin.
My cousin messaged me saying that this morning, everyone is on lockdown....to the point that all roads are blocked off and police are everywhere to send them back home. And everyone has to put: at home.

I heard a doctor say as more tests are given, we will have a lowered percentage of deaths, many people that will be tested will have a mild case & recover quickly at home.

Omg! See, this is the reason I do not eat out! Idk who is preparing my food & what is going on behind the scenes. Are they coughing, runny nose, perspiring, sneezing? I don’t care that they have gloves, gloves can carry germs too.
