I think I need to step up my awareness game in public bc I thought I was all over it, until the Mr. informed me (after we got home of course, yea don't warn me or anything), that the kid behind us at the store was coughing horribly. I literally did not hear him. I think I will just stay home. Lol.

I do, but I am holding off trying it until I need some big guns. I had a few puffs back in the day (didn't inhale!) and didn't care for the taste.
I cant stand the taste or the smell of it, (or cigarettes) but, IMO the edibles are where it's at. Anyway, back to the subject at hand! MOO

Legal in Oregon :)

Yeah hopefully that industry won’t have any problems.

That’ll be a good google after I get through these PCs...how it could affect that industry which is a BIG BIG source of revenue in Colorado.

You would change your mind if it was hidden in chocolate with sea salt sprinkled on top. :) Back to the panic now.....

Wow. That's not good. Flu?
I work in a hospital in Northern CA. Today, management went through and took all boxes of masks except the open ones in our department. The hospital is packed! We have 330 licensed beds and 50 people admitted with no beds to put them in. I haven't heard of any Covid 19 pt's so I hope there's not an explosion of patients anytime soon. We cannot divert traffic right now , because the nearest hospital to us is in the same boat.

Why South Korea may have more coronavirus cases than the US

The South Koreans have been on this as much as they could from the beginning while our leaders just kept telling us about the flu numbers being worse. Makes me sad and angry at the same time..we go around puffing ourselves up as 'the best' and frankly I'm not seeing it at all...once proud federal institutions...what's left? Hollow reputations? Its up to the states and mine is still warning me about the flu being a greater threat on their website...

Democrats demand investigation after whistleblower complaint on new coronavirus

Democrats are demanding a briefing from the Trump administration next week and urging an inspector general investigation after a whistleblower working for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services filed a complaint with the U.S. Office of Special Counsel reportedly alleging that more than a dozen employees were sent to receive the first Americans repatriated from Wuhan, China, without proper training or protective gear for new coronavirus infection control.

This is going to seem like an advert...but I am only sharing it in case some are preparing and they need a straightup guide to what disinfectants they should include in their prepping. Of course, make up your own minds, but a lot of folks need some direction, me being one of them.

A 'drive-thu' coronavirus testing centre has been set up in Edinburgh

NHS Lothian has opened a "drive-thru" coronavirus testing centre in Edinburgh, allowing people to be seen by professionals while sitting in their cars.

Some patients will be able to drive onto the Western General hospital campus in the west of the city to access the service, which is available by appointment only.

So far 500 people have been tested for coronavirus in Scotland - all have come back negative.

On Friday, it was announced that a British national had died from the Covid-19 virus after being infected on the Diamond Princess cruise liner in Japan.

Observations in Walmart today: (that were not there last week)

1) Big aisle displays of - Robustussin, Motrin, Mucinex

2) On the grocery side- big aisle displays of Lysol products, Clorox products and a big display of Clorox Laundry Sanitation Liquid

3) The Lysol sprays were wiped out on the shelf, I think I saw one on there and the Great Value equivalent was wiped out too with one or two on the shelf (there was that big aisle display that had more on it though, but I tend to think people dont notice those as much)

4) When I was getting my Lysol products, a woman shopping asked me where the bleach was, that made me take more notice of what others were buying. It looked like lots were "stocking up" and the store was fairly busy for a Friday during the day.

I am sure HQ is right on it with all the displays and said "get these on the floor" as that is where folks heads are at now.

5) got most of my stuff done, stil have more on my list, frankly I am really tired of shopping.

I can buy Everclear at the liquor store--it's 190 proof. I use it to make eggnog during the holidays. Strong stuff lol.

Just don't do with your Everclear what ?Margarita? did the other night when getting supplies .....consuming it all at once. She had 1 months worth of ice cream in one night (obvious lack of self control :D and was ill the next day ).

When hunting for supplies, don't forget your local office supply stores. I was in Office Depot today and they had plenty of hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies. In contrast, I had been in Target this morning and they were down to the bare bones as far as hand sanitizers go. I did see several people in Target loading their carts above the average amount with things like cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc. One lady had at least 10 bottles of Clorox cleaner in her cart along with several bottles of bleach! OTC medicines (like ibuprofen) were plentiful on the shelves, though. I'll be interested to see how things look by Monday.

Maybe she's just cleaning up and disposing of a body? ;)

This is why schools in some states will be closed down because I have seen young and old kids never washing their hands and sneezing with out covering their mouth in schools when I taught. It will be a disaster.

My husband taught elementary school for 30 years and became an almost obsessive hand washer to this day (retired 20 years). There was a sink in his classroom where he washed his hands and he had his kids wash their hands frequently too. But I agree, it will be a disaster whether schools close or not.
