Yeah I’ve had this same kind of vibe, moo, especially wrt the Diamond Princess, of course I am certainly no expert. I’d like to review that timeline (DP). IF the quarantined passengers did not NOT sustain during their quarantine (day utensils or food trays for example), then this could possibly lend itself to something longer than 14 days.

I’ve never been a fan of the 14 day rule, moo. I’ve always thought it should have been longer, especially considering there are so many unknowns, especially in the early days.

A vibe since we first learned that China was in trouble, and before any quarantines, was that this was out of control in China. It's now out of control across the planet and no one knows where it came from, how to stop it, how to test for it, and how to prevent it. WHO and governments are looking in the wrong direction with politics, supply chains, tourism and money.

They failed the money front, with enormous sell-offs equivalent to recession in the last couple of days. Tourism is another fail because no one wants potentially sick people docking or landing in uninfected countries. Supply chains are probably screwed due to work stoppage, so people will look at black market get rich schemes. How many rolls of toilet paper does that apple guru have set aside?

Speaking of the DP, in my opinion, I think it’s possible there have been some major breeches and it “jumped ship to shore” (exact quote referenced as a fact via msm, was an inspector assessing the situation on the ship—I’ve seen varying reports as to if he was wearing protector gear or not); there are also IMO possibly quarantined cruise passengers that entered into Japan after their 14 days moo.

In response to a reporter’s question on if the original source could be somewhere other than China, Dr. Mike emphasizes it’s important not to attribute “blame”, “stigma”, etc.

So ftr any discussion about “source transmission” is not being brought up for any sort of blame reasons FTR. Just wanted to make that clear. It’s not about that, rather, it’s about trying to make sense of the “web”. That in itself is fascinating, moo.

It's pointless to criticize health care workers until we know that what they did is confirmed as risky. At this point, there's nothing to suggest that employees were harmed during the process.

There was an Uber driver in Japan. There's a prostitute somewhere too ... not sure where.

That's the supply chain thing that may be effected, where local commodities are unavailable internationally due to local or transport problems. At this time, some people are wondering whether this is a 2 week or 6 month issues.

Here’s another thing, unless someone totally locks themself down for at least the next year, or who knows how long, and stocks up on supplies for the next year or however long, at least til a vaccine comes out, I find it hard to understand how one can not be exposed to it at some point or another. Yes wash your hands bla bla, but at some point even if you have supplies for a month you’re still going to run out at some point.

I guess what I’m saying re: supplies, is that there’s really only so far this goes (unless you get a candy shed,like @Herat ).

So honestly I’m feeling bummed out about this whole supplies thing because I know it’s very temporary, of course IF this is all should this break and poop hit the fan (APVLD).

Oh, I’m certainly not criticizing the health workers! I would never do that, believe me!!! Im worried about them more than anyone!! Want to be sure that’s clear I was just saying the Japan inspector is known to have contracted the virus and there is that clear “ship to shore” connection there. And that there are breaches. I stated above also what Dr. Mike said, how important it is not to cast blame or stigma. Just looking at all the patterns.

That's an interesting perspective - to self isolate for a year to avoid infection. If you successfully avoided the virus for a year and a vaccine was available, how long would it take for you to trust it - to know that you're not part of a drug experiment?

You might have to give up candy, beer and ice cream, and think more like a WW3 refugee and what you could barter in a really desperate situation.

Yes I was thinking about that too with the vaccine...even if one comes out, can you trust it right away, we often don’t know the long term effects, etc. until well, time.

I don't think so. I think the virus was in Japan through a local source prior to dealing with that cruise ship. It was kind of Japan to deal with the diseased cruise ship and unsurprising that other cruise ships were not allowed to dock. If you can find the exact date that the cruise ship was diagnosed with the disease, I probably have a screen shot of the cases and locations that day, including Japan.

Indeed, I agree there’s a high chance Japan was infected before/independently of the cruise ship. No doubt about that.

ETA: I’ll have to refresh on the “lady of the night”, I’m not recalling that atm.

ETA2: I started keeping a “Japan file” from day 1, but after a while blew it off when everything started progressing and becoming so multidimensional, but I’ll look back and see what I can find.
