Thanks. You take good care of yourself, too.Yes, hold on to that. We keep hearing the same from many health professionals and they constantly quote numbers that show overwhelmingly the sickest in the hospital aren't vaccinated. You hang in there and take good care of yourself.
Same here in SC.Here in Florida hardly anybody is masked-- when you go anywhere
you begin to ask ---: is there really a pandemic?

I worked through 2020. I think I was definitely exposed, but it was early on when testing was severely limited (deja vu).
This brought me to tears. I feel helpless not being able to help them, but you are right, it could be worse, a lot worse. I'll hang onto your thoughts and my son's as well.I was just going to write this to you.
As frustrating and frightening as it is that your son and his wife got Covid after being triple-vaxed, try to find some respite in thinking about how true this is.
I understand they are both sick enough to be bed-ridden, which is awful. But thank God, they are at home. He is able to communicate with you via telephone. He isn’t in the ICU with a ventilator, unable to breathe enough to converse with you, unconscious.
It is probable that the vaccines saved the life of your son and daughter-in-law, and this will be a story they tell in the future.
You’re NOT going to be the mom who says goodbye on an IPad.
Thank God.
I was in Florida for work and just flew home today. The only place I saw everyone wearing masks was in the Tampa airport. Here in Florida hardly anybody is masked-- when you go anywhere

They don't have any children right now. I don't know how they'd manage if they did, but they'd find a way I'm sure. They don't have an electric blanket so they're sleeping with their dog for the extra body heat.I am sorry to hear that they are sick. So many people are sick. I wonder how sick parents are able to care for their children. It must be very difficult. I hope your people have a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, my charming city does this:

FOLLY BEACH (WCSC) – Business owners on Folly Beach say they are excited to welcome back a New Year’s tradition for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The city’s flip flop drop will be held on New Year’s Eve along Center Street.
“We’re very excited to have that happen again,” Rita’s Seaside Grill Manager Tayler McBarron said.
Charlotte Goodwin, the brainchild of the event and the mayor’s wife, said the event has helped make Dec. 31 the busiest night the local businesses will have throughout the year.
