I think you're wise Anneg. I totally agree with what Tiff and Pirate have said about moving on (and we have just booked two England based holidays for early next year). But restaurants, no. I think with Omicron if anyone in a restaurant has it, be it staff or customers, chances are you'll get it. Its breathing the same air that circulates which bothers me.
Last night my son and DIL spent 2 hours in the plane on the ground because the de-icing equipment was not working. All I could think about was that if one person on that flight was positive everyone on the plane would end up infected. I felt so bad for them just sitting there, I'm sure some masks were pulled down during those two hours before they let them deplane and go back into the airport. Flight ended up being delayed 4 hours and they missed their connection. Losts of travel nightmares going on right now.
