I have a pair of season tickets to an NFL team. Didn’t attend a single game in 2020, and only went to a preseason game this year.

When I watch the games on tv I simply can’t believe that none of the fans are wearing masks.

the risk is too great--all those people filling stadiums around the country arent
even worried about risk-- if they were considering risk, they would at least

cautious by participating in the hearing virtually, in light of a raging Omicron
virus raging through the United States?

Exactly. Most Supreme Court Justices aren't spring chickens. Covid could be really dangerous for them even if vaxxed.

Just finished listening to Dr. Campbell's video while doing dishes. He talks about Long covid, increased deaths starting a few years after the Spanish flu, increased risk of diabetes diagnosis after covid.
Although we're all covid fatigued, it's so important to avoid getting infected. Sufferings will continue even after the pandemic is over for many, sadly.

It has been a rough couple of years, but the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel is already upon us according to Australia’s former deputy chief medical officer Dr Nick Coatsworth.

Although a spike in infections across Australia is causing some concerns, the former health chief is predicting case numbers will peak by the end of summer and then we will be over the worst of what the disease has to offer.

Dr Coatsworth told 2GB this morning that he believes the virus will become endemic in 2022.

Either this coming week or next week. Kind of depends upon weather reports and my husband's work. It turns out he MIGHT be able to come with me now. And if I postpone a bit that could work out. And it would be so much better if he could.

Exactly. And my mom ADORES him. He is so patient and sweet. They get along great. Last visit they both stayed up until 3 am talking and drinking martinis. lol It was the anniversary of my father's passing and so they toasted him with his favourite drink then had a few more.

So I know she would love for him to come too. She gets annoyed by me when I keep making her use her oxygen and I double check her meds, lol, but if he asks her about that stuff she smiles and does as he suggested. I think he reminds her of Dad...

AND help is needed because I have to remind her that we cannot go out shopping or to her local restaurant that she loves, like we always used to do when I visit/

One of our main past times was that she could go out and do things on her own, with me helping her. But we cannot go into Reno to shop right now, and she still forgets that because her memory is not so great. Its is good for a 92 yr old, luckily.

Covid has been hard on her because it broke down our routine that my brothers and I had in place. ....even when her complex was locked down, she would ask, if we were coming this week, and I'd remind her the place was not allowing visitors and she would get sad and remember again....and we had that same convo a few dozen times....

My husband was the same way with my late Mom. I used to tell him “You’re good with old people.” And now we’re old and he still is!
