My booster caused the lymph node under my armpit to significantly swell! (It was also very uncomfortable and the worst of the side effects symptoms, IMO.) It was swollen for 3-4 days, but I was back to normal within a week. I’m sure everyone this happens to experiences it a little differently, though.Sorry, don't know about having Covid in the weeks before a mammogram. The vaccine can cause swollen lymph nodes in some people, so women are advised to wait six weeks before having a mammogram after they've had a vaccination/booster. I'd call the imaging facility and ask, just to be sure.
I also had significant swelling under my left arm pit after my first and second shot. Lasted about a week for me. Super tender! My immune system was working I reckon. My booster caused the lymph node under my armpit to significantly swell! (It was also very uncomfortable and the worst of the side effects symptoms, IMO.) Nevertheless, thank you for mentioning this. It would have never even crossed my mind, and mammograms are uncomfortable enough as it is!
The NyQuil made me laugh because my daughter says she got through Covid thanks to NyQuil at night. lolHi! You are so kind to think of me and ask. I am feeling a bit better, but I’m still dealing with ear pressure, headache, fatigue and a cough. My throat pain is almost gone however. It feels more like a bad cold today than like a debilitating flu. I feel like I’m on the upswing, but I’m not ready to get out of bed and run a marathon. Nights seem to be more uncomfortable so I took NyQuil again last night to sleep and got a long uninterrupted slumber. Thank you for asking. How is everyone else doing today?
GMA had a physician whose research on the oximeter use on black and brown individuals and the results are not as accurate.
Thank you so much! The NyQuil made me laugh because my daughter says she got through Covid thanks to NyQuil at night. lol
I had asked her what she wanted me to get at the pharmacy for her, when she told me she tested positive. I wanted to go get her an oximeter and I called to ask what else she might need. She asked for Nightime NyQuil and also Epsom Salts for her aches and body pains. Both worked well she said.
I am glad to hear that you are feeling on the upswing. Just keep resting and drinking fluids until you are fully well.
“If you’re over 50 and you haven’t gotten the shot this year, you should go get a shot,” said White House COVID-19 coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha. “It’s going to save your life.”
Jha pressed said people who are eligible for a booster but haven’t received one shouldn’t wait for forthcoming vaccines targeted at the omicron strain in addition to the original form of the coronavirus. The U.S. has ordered 105 million of those updated shots that studies show provide better protection against omicron variants, but they won’t be available until the fall.
“Let me be clear, if you get vaccinated today, you’re not going to be ineligible to get the variants specific vaccine, as we get into the later part of fall and winter,” Jha said. “So, this is not a trade off, we’ve got plenty. It’s a great way to protect yourself.”
Added Fauci: “The threat to you is now.”
I’m much better myself, thank you. Mr HKP is day three of steroids today. Woke up (just gone 8am here) needing his blue inhaler. We’re hoping the steroids start helping today, he’s not getting worse but just not noticeably better yet.How is everyone doing today? For those of you who have Covid are you all feeling any better? I hope so.
Sorry, that I can recall. Robin Roberts interviewed the doctor. You might be able to see the interview on the GMA website. I believe that when hospitalized patients had a specific blood test to test oxygen levels against oximeter readings, there was a noted difference. Some patients needed oxygen.Did they say why that occurs?

Both DH and I got notices on our Beaumont patient charts that our Covid protocol is overdue. Technically, we should have had our second boosters in mid-May. Patient charts also indicate that we should both be getting flu shots soon. Neither of us wants to have vaccines too close together, so we have decided to get our second Covid boosters next week. We have some concerns about the newest variant that appears to be spreading in Oakland County.@BetteDavisEyes , Mr Pirate got his a while back. I am holding out for a new fall vaccine. If you don’t mind sharing, what made you decide to get it now? Did your doctor say if you can get one now and one later in a fall/winter? I am on the fence here.

We had our original boosters last November, so our protection is likely waning. We don't want to get caught off-guard if/when the latest variants surge in early fall.According to Covidactnow.org community risk level is still low in Oakland County
