It looks like the morbidity rate in Washington is at 8%. Rounded up, I got 0.077. 29/373.
I have an annual physical exam scheduled for next week. Appointment was made some time ago before this current crisis. Should I cancel and reschedule? I really hate the idea of walking into the fairly large medical facility always full of patients in the waiting room.
Being an Ohioan I have so many mixed feelings and reactions. Do I have it? My husband? My kids? My grandkids? My sister? Have I been worrying for weeks about us getting it when we already have it?No! I think there can be no way to know. We know some have seen their doctor but sent home with the “keep your hands clean, rest, take Tylenol” advice.
When a retail person, for example, was around hundreds of people on a daily basis during incubation, we can assume she infected _____ (insert your number). So when these people present at the doctor (if they do) the doctor has a very good idea based on community contact & symptoms the patient is in fact positive. Moo
Ohio did state they likely have 100k, as earlier posted, but no other state has included untested persons in their totals, to my knowledge.
From earlier link:
top health official in Ohio estimated on Thursday that more than 100,000 people in the state have coronavirus, a shockingly high number that underscores the limited testing so far.
Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton said at a press conference alongside Gov. Mike DeWine (R) that given that the virus is spreading in the community in Ohio, she estimates at least 1 percent of the population in the state has the virus.
"We know now, just the fact of community spread, says that at least 1 percent, at the very least, 1 percent of our population is carrying this virus in Ohio today," Acton said. "We have 11.7 million people. So the math is over 100,000. So that just gives you a sense of how this virus spreads and is spreading quickly."
She added that the slow rollout of testing means the state does not have good verified numbers to know for sure.
"Our delay in being able to test has delayed our understanding of the spread of this," Acton said.
The Trump administration has come under intense criticism for the slow rollout of tests. Dr. Anthony Fauci, a top National Institutes of Health official, acknowledged earlier Thursday it is "a failing" that people cannot easily get tested for coronavirus in the United States.
Google Starbucks copycat recipesStarbucks....no I can't, I just can't..They know my drink by heart...I can't give it up. This is a most seriously issue. I need help immediately. What can I order on line to make my Starbucks at home. I'll give up toilet paper for Starbucks.

"I really, really want to read a story explaining exactly how the Utah Jazz managed to get their hands on 58 COVID-19 tests in a matter of hours."

It hit a nursing home there, which is full of old sickly people. Most of the victims who died were in that nursing home.It looks like the morbidity rate in Washington is at 8%. Rounded up, I got 0.077. 29/373.

Well, if they got infected, expect high mortality rate. I think that much is clear. There are lots of nursing homes in the United States. It will be interesting to see how this falls out. Especially in Florida.
LMAO for real!WE ARE LIVING IT....
In global disaster movies, there’s always a scientist who’s like, WE HAVE TO ACT NOW OR PEOPLE WILL DIE and some government guy who’s like, YOU’RE BLOWING THIS OUT OF PROPORTION and I’m like, NO ONE WOULD REACT TO INFO LIKE THAT IN REAL LIFE.
My apologies to those movies.

Indeed, it would be horrific to incubate COVID at the Opera House.
