It is good they are trying to clean things better and restock as much as possible. I just find it difficult to believe it needs to be 1/2 of a day. 11 hour downtime is practically 1/2 of a 24 hour day. Surely they could accomplish what they need to in a shorter time than that since they have each day to do more of it.

Im sorry to be critical of them but it gets frustrating when we see certain decisions that may make matters worse, and this will put a dent in people being able to get supplies when closing a grocery store down 1/2 of the time they usually are open. That seems a little on the extensive side. Maybe a 4 hour window would be enough each day for them to catch up. I hope they will adjust their hours if they find they dont need to stay closed for 11 hours each day.
My husband's company reduced their hours by one hour each day. Not a grocery but electrical supplies. He's the only employee working in that location. The national company did this to limit the possible physical contact between employees and customers. They basically cut those contacts in half by removing the other employee. That one hour they aren't open now is one more hour my one and only is exposed to no one.

Good afternoon friends. Here's the latest Florida update. The governor is speaking now and I think public school's will be closed until April 15, but I'll get back to you on that. We're hoping that our son will be allowed to work from home now that 4 University of Florida students have been confirmed positive. Stressful times.

Don't know about the western part of the state but we in SW VA are ready. Small towns will close hotels, restaurants, many behind the scenes activities are planned. We will help anybody that will help themselves.

They need to head on down to Florida, only stopping for gas if necessary in VA, NC or SC is my advise.

Moo...
Oh No, don't send 'em here, we got enough bad
cooties floatin' around.

Delete your Facebook.

Lol. I know that's not an easy proposition for some people, but I deleted mine almost four years ago and have never regretted it for a second, especially in light of their ethically dubious business practices. I'm less anxious and my overall mental health is better.

If nothing else, consider giving it a break. It's hard to resist feeling a responsibility to correct disinformation, but we need you for the long haul. Take care of yourself.

I spoke to my boss a bit ago.

I told him, we need to also think about everyone's mental health. I regret saying it now.

I see everyone is on edge. Myself included. I took a drive today just to listen to music as loud as I could, pray, and get my fur babies out.

Gotta hang in there. I agree about FB. I just go there for light-hearted discussions.

10 Days Later: What Italians Wish They Had Known

Terrified residents of Italian cities record messages to themselves 10 days ago, when the pandemic hadn't yet killed 1,809 people and infected more than 24,000 across the country. The messages serve as a disturbing warning from the future—especially for the United States, which is expected to be just a week behind Italy in the progression of the novel coronavirus

Just days later, Parenti felt like he was living in a different version of reality—a dystopian one The entire country had shut down. The economy took a nosedive. Hospitals, overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients, were being forced to make impossible utilitarian decisions:

Which critical patients would receive lifesaving artificial ventilation, while the others would effectively be left to die?

Parenti and his friends were disturbed by the fact that they had severely underestimated the situation, a perspective that perhaps contributed to the spread of the virus. “We read in the news that the U.S., England, Germany, and France were all taking the COVID-19 progression just as lightly as we had,” Parenti said. “We decided we had to redeem ourselves in some way.”

Together with other members of his filmmaking collective, Parenti put out a call for citizens across the country to film themselves in quarantine. “We asked them to talk in first person to the camera,” he said, “and give themselves advice based on their own past behavior.”

Well our governor just held a press meeting. Authorizing all pre through 12 schools to remain closed for the remainder of the 2019/20 school year.

Christmas is hard. Summer is really hard for her what’s this going to do idk , plus the 4 almost 5 yr also goes all day and he is driving me nuts about when is school starting. Don’t judge me people but I almost want to cry again I get it but I’m a little panicked to.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Chopper 6 was over Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday afternoon where Pennsylvania Task Force 1 has deployed.

Video shows two tractor-trailers are being unloaded and tents erected. You can see PA-TF-1 on top of the tents indicating Pennsylvania Task Force 1.

PA-Task Force 1 is one of 28 operational and deployable groups established by FEMA that can respond to a disaster.

Potential to be open 24/7
